I’ve been taking my siblings to see $1 movies at regal cinemas this summer, and while the snacks are still expensive, we have worked the whole thing out to still be less than $50 for the 3 of us.
We saw puss in boots the last wish, then trolls 3 and today we saw sonic 2. I had never actually watched all of sonic 2, it’s one we bought early and I would be in and out of the room, so I did not know that it was about the master emerald until I saw part of 3 last week.
But the important thing is that agent stone plays devoted gay very well, and while eggman does take advantage of stones feelings for him, I think that eggman might return them.

Yuri on ice is on Hulu. I watched all of it in less than 24 hours which is not that impressive until you consider I’m basically a full time parent to my siblings and my mom while she recovers from her second knee surgery. (I got 2 bathroom breaks and an hour by myself to read this evening)
I remember watching it with subtitles when it first came out. On Crunchyroll, while I wrapped Christmas presents. So I 100% missed all of the gay bits. I just thought that people were shipping them because it was queer coded, but not explicitly queer. I was like 17, and not great a media literacy, or seeing romantic subtext.
Now, I’m nearly 26, and while the fat shaming was also way more obvious, Hulu has a dubbed version, so I was able to actually watch it, and damn, it’s really gay. I’m so glad.

bat at hornets nest maybe but "there is no ethical consumption under capitalism" refers to low income communities needing to choose between survival vs being eco friendly. not you continuing to watch the harry potter movies

For a while I used Yummly to filter recipes with all the things we needed to avoid. I do not know if it still works. But it did help when it was harder to find GF nut free food.
I’ve been set with the daunting research task of finding a new easy dinner to introduce into our weekly meal rotation that doesn’t include the use of an oven and fits everyone’s preferences and food sensitivities and I must say that most of these online articles of healthy meals for picky eaters don’t actually seem to understand picky eaters

My younger sister has been watching Wish at least once a day since summer started. And every time I watch it, I cannot get past the fact that some people didn’t like it because magnifico was a villain. I am pretty sure they just think he’s hot and are looking past him being very manipulative and not good. But it’s crazy to me.

Avery has one month before she leaves for med school. She decided “I just want to have fun and sex” but max wants commitment, he says that he’s already in love with her and if they got any more intimate, he would break when she left. Tristan is like “I have already been pining for you for 3 years I will take any time I can get with you” and so they were fucking, but then max tells Avery he loves her and she says that that was not fair of him. Except that she kept pressing him to have meaningless sex with her and he told her he could not do that several times before he told her he loved her. Then he gets stuck on shore in Mexico during a tsunami. And Avery realizes “oh my god I am in love with him and I can’t think about losing him” which breaks Tristan a little, but he always knew that she would not love him.
I like Avery as a strong independent NP who takes no shit, and knows what she wants. But I really hate that they tied her to these two so early on while also almost immediately confirming she would be leaving to go to med school. Which is not a short time.
If I had a nickel for every time a 3-some in media resulted in an unplanned pregnancy and paternity questions. I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened 2x.
First one is in Doctor Odyssey, which would be better if they were just a little cheesier. Avery has a threesome with max and Tristan. And then gets pregnant, right as she is accepted into a program that will pay for her to go to medical school. And oh no, is the dad her hot new boss, or her best friend of many years that she never thought about that way until the hot new boss showed up?
The second one is in a book, bad blood by Joel Abernathy, it is an A/B/O shifter vampire romance. Chase is sacrificed by a cult, accidentally becomes the host for their deity and is now in the middle of a harem. He has a multitude of threesomes with different combinations, and discovers he is pregnant and an omega. This happens because the god goes into heat to replenish her sexual magic, and it happens to coincide with his first omega heat.
Both of these are ridiculous, but the TV show is much less plausible given that it requires a nurse, nurse practitioner and doctor to all ignore basic safe sex, and not wear condoms, Avery not be on BC and both of them coming inside of her. Which is really what I cannot wrap my head around.
The book treats it in a much more funny way, and plausible because chase asks about condoms, but the magic exchange does not work without the god actually consuming the sperm. And they did not know that he was capable of getting pregnant because they all thought he was human.
Now the TV show is doing paternity tests.
And Chase is pregnant with twins!

Avery is not pregnant. It was a ovarian cyst

Also apparently because they are on a cruise ship, Avery is the phlebotomist and dna analyst.

I watched all of the good wife so I thought I would catch up on 911.
I knew that Bobby died, and I knew that Maddy and chimney named their new kid after him. What I did not know was that they literally named their new kid baby Robert Nash Han. They gave that baby Bobby’s last name as a middle name. Who wrote that?
The rest of the episode was fine, and I am glad that it seems Maddy had a non traumatic birth. But what a weird was to end it.

My mom teaches at an art camp every summer she can, she couldn’t last year because it was in the woods and her knees sucked. After one knee replacement, she it leaving today to teach a week and taking one sibling with her (discount price) then she will return and get her second knee replacement.
I took the youngest 2 children out of the house this morning because they were chaos from the excitement.
We went to Dunkin’ Donuts. I planned to drive through and take them to the park. There were too many cars in the drive through, so we went in. Spent 45 minutes in there. One kid said hello to every single person. The other on got mad i ate some of his bacon and tried to pout in the parking lot. I made him come back inside and let him choose between the table we were at or the couch to pout. He used the bathroom instead.
As I was trying to get them to leave, one insisted on getting a regular glazed donut. So I sent them up with cash. Then a different customer came up and said “I enjoyed watching you with your kids, this is for them” and gave me $5. Which I don’t think this is even the first time this has happened. I’m not their mom

I was talking to a coworker, about various things, all tangentially related to them taking one of their partners shift because they got vaccine boosters and their arms hurt too much to come in, relatable.
But eventually it got to the point where they were telling me about how the only time they have ever gotten really sick, was when their aunt accidentally gave them Tylenol 2x instead or Tylenol then Motrin. But they were like 4. So they had been getting sick and their aunt was alternating the medicine and got a little confused and gave them Tylenol and then 4 hours later gave them Tylenol again “and then I got really sick”
They had strep throat.
I am working really hard not to be a know it all about medicine. But due to chronic illness, combined with the fact that all of my family is also chronically ill, and autism, I know a higher than average amount about medication and especially kids medication.
It is incredibly hard to overdose a child with Tylenol, because they would have to drink like 1.5-2 bottles of the liquid medication. Very quickly.
And they signs of an overdose and not just getting a virus. They would be vomiting and sleeping.
Assuming that the aunt was following the instructions, the coworker probably took 5ml (160mg) of Tylenol and then the same dose 4 hours later. Which is not enough to make a child sick, at that point in time the Tylenol would have already been released.
But I didn’t tell them this, I just said that sounds scary and mentioned that at that age scarlet fever is a common complication of strep throat, and that is why it’s so important to get antibiotics.

I just saw the new lilo and stitch
It was cute and did a good job translating stitch and lilo into “real” life.
(The child who played Myrtle did a very good job, I wanted to fight her)
As has been said, Gantu is not in the movie. Since he is technically the main antagonist in the stitch universe, I was concerned about how the movie would go. They made jumba the main antagonist.
It is best to think of this movie as an AU rather than a remake, because several things are different. Including that there had previously been no alien contact with earth, the councilwoman did not recognize bubbles, and bubbles is a CIA agent.
Obviously not played by the original actor since he died several years ago, but this guy did a decent job.
Pleakley did not wear a dress, but he did get to wear a loose crocheted top with a daisy on it.
Very emotional, and it takes a deeper look at what the social worker is telling Nani about taking lilo away, and also gives Nani the development that an 18 year old suddenly caring for her 6 year old sister alone needs.
Good music obviously.

I have a really hard time with personal hygiene because of my autism. I have trouble with the change and the discomfort.
But this also means that I do not shower unless it is extremely familiar to me. Unfortunately the good shower is out because it has a leak. And for the last week my normal shower has smelled like chickens. Because my brother has 6 baby chickens in his room and their waste is baking in the heat lamp and he has trouble understanding when it needs to be cleaned. But he did clean it tonight and now the bathroom does not smell. So I can shower. Which means I looked at myself naked in the mirror for the first time in several weeks. And it’s great…
Unfortunately I no longer have a thic ass. The Testosterone has shifted my body fat, combined with the weight loss from hospital and gaining muscles from carrying kids, my ass is flat now and it’s a little disappointing. It means I need to start working out my butt muscles.
