Mindsets

I'm really bad at feelings. I'm bad at this whole thing, But I'm even worse at healing. I haven't felt a thing for years now, And I'm not sure when I'll start. I guess this whole love thing left, When you took me apart. Stripped me back to who I never was, A monster I've become. Stranding hearts in limbo, My time I'd give to none. But somewhere in the distance, Thoughts come rushing to, But I'll run faster than they ever could, Because those thoughts belong to you.

The Monster That I Am-                              The monster that I am, Can never be explained. He lurks within my confides, I'm defeated and I'm ashamed. I'd give it all to feel something, The ultimate price I'd pay. But for now I'll drown in pity, Empty bottles lead the way. I can't understand this process, Where I erase the things I know. So I fuck and drink it all away, Watch my anxiety fade to smoke. I've lost control of emotions, No longer gripped by me. I've lost control of thoughts I have, No longer am I free.

Waking up slowly, As we banter and we chat, We plan our day of ventures, Pack a picnic and a map.
