I bought this book originally in December of 2023, bc I saw a lot of hype on TikTok. I started reading it about a year ago, but moved and then had to put down books for a few months.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this book! I love the relationship between Violet and Liam, and Liam’s character as a whole. Liam is perfect. I didn’t love that I knew Xaden and Violet would end up together, it just felt like a given. Classic stuff. I wish we’d seen more of Bodhi and Imogen, and Garrick. I remember being annoyed with Ridoc during presentation too, got him confused with Pyre (or whatever his name was).
I like Violet’s thought process throughout the book too, it felt like we were learning with her. I liked the classes, keeping the reader involved with that. It’s not something I’ve seen in any book before. I also genuinely hope to see more of Rhiannon as the series goes.
I think Liam’s death was executed VERY well. It really did feel like we lost a good friend. Like I lost a good friend.

Welcome to my page! Here, I’ll be discussing IN HEAVY DETAIL the books I read, and review.
I’d love recommendations for things to read! I love romantasy, dragons, magic, mystery, and thrillers! I’m open to other genres too.
I’ve been reading books since I was about 12. I started with the American Girl series for Molly, then Samantha. The two box sets were given to me by my aunt Rebeckah, and I haven’t stopped reading since. Sure I’ve had breaks, but reading is always something I come back to.
Here is a list of a few books I’ll start with for reviews on this page:
- The Empyrean series (individual posts for each book so yall can avoid spoilers) by Rebecca Yarros
- Wings of Starlight by Allison Saft
- ACOTAR by Sarah J. Maas (once I finish book one)
Any other recs are more than welcome!
