i’m definitely a kaeya has spent time in the abyss truther. while i wouldn’t be surprised if hoyo decided not to do that, as it looks right now, it feels very probable.

it would be so interesting if at some point in a dain quest, we got more information on actual abyss dwellers. because skirk and childe cant be the only one’s, there has to be more that ended up in the abyss for whatever reason and managed to survive. or even just accessed the abyss.

abyss civilizations are honestly such an unexplored concept in genshin that i hope we get explanation on. i do think it’s something we could learn more about in nod krai, with nod krai being the first nation after khaenri’ah to be affected by the cataclysm + the wild hunt.

So, I have to admit, I never subscribed to the idea that Childe got the lighter streak in his hair from the Abyss (I always thought it was just a design choice to make his hair more interesting to look at)... until today, when I decided to go through every character in the game and check their hair for shits and giggles.

What I found is that nobody except Childe, Skirk, and Kaeya have the streak. Sure, lots of characters have different colored parts of their hair, but they're always either dyed or there's multiple of them, compared to the single, clear highlight in the Abyss Trio.

The closest I could find was Kuki, and even then it's a little different.

I think what really sealed the deal for me was Skirk. Since her hair is already practically white, you can only see the streak close-up; it's nearly invisible from far away. There's no other reason to add it, so it must be intentional.

What's interesting to note is that nobody from Natlan has the hair streak, either, so it's probably something that only comes from prolonged exposure.

Anyway, I don't know if this actually means anything, but it is something to look out for in the future.

fun times hating on the term "ragbros" because i think "kaeya ragnvindr" is very dismissive of his identity in relation to his ties with diluc vs his ties to khaenriah (and the founder of the abyss order. like you're gonna throw away everything that makes kaeya a mysterious and interesting individual?? :/).

can we please find a better name for platonic kaeya and diluc so i can tag my shit. maybe i should just start tagging them tstt (the secret third thing)

how is it that all the kaeya theories we thought we could safely move off the table, that were unlikely to be true anymore, just got put BACK on the table in the past month alone

oh look most recent lore drop shows them having almost the exact same eyes, whereas before we had never seen any eyes that looked like kaeyas!

not only did the most recent archon quest show that time travel exists in Teyvat, but now he could be from the FUTURE too! (there’s a lot more evidence for that theory besides the latest archon quest, but i recommend other people’s deep dives)

kaeya could be a pureblood?

before, a LOT of evidence felt like it was pointing towards the halfblood theory, but now genshin decided bring up kaeya in a moment that really felt out of left field, almost as if to draw attention to kaeya possibly being a pure blood

i honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Varka dies during nod-krai. if he doesn’t, and he returns to mondstadt, jean’s role would be rendered moot. with Varka’s death, it may not only lead the story back to mondstadt but will make the most sense for Jean’s character — to become full Grandmaster that is.
