I need some quick references to describe it in the perspective of a certain fairy, netflix won't let me take screenshots of the show and pinterest is failing me. Exactly. As you watch, you’ll see them all grow in different ways. They end up very different from the Rise boys. But I do love how every iteration of them has them acting appropriately for how they were raised.

I mean, I grew up with the 87 guys, and I need to watch that one again. But that one is goofy because it’s the 80s and they wanted to market an adult comic for kids. So I get it.

But yes. The heart of each turtle is the same. That’s what makes them *them.* But being raised differently changes things, and honestly makes it more interesting.

Ive been watching TMNT 2k12 for the first time this past week (im on s1 ep19) and so far i have to applaud the creators of Rise.

As someone that weny from Rise! To 2k12 i have to say that i think its a very believable representation of what the 2k12 would be like in that kind of lifestyle.

Like so far? S1 Leo could dead ass just BE Rise!Leo if given the chance. The puns? The very subtle inferiority complex? The cocky attitude? Like really, the only reason he's the way he is is purely because hes the big brother and because of Splinter.

If he was raised the same way Rise!Leo was he'd turn out the same way.

All this discourse over who does "painting with light"

Hiroshi Nagai's paintings need sunglasses to look at.

They look like how it feels to walk across a parking lot on a 98° summer day without a speck of shade in sight.

They look like heaven but also like you'd burn your bare feet on the ground.

Even when you can see shade you know it's not enough and the minute you step out you'll be burnt to a crisp like a vampire.

We walk in and they’re playing Chinese gansta rap??? That’s a thing?!

Now they have Chinese country music (“Cowboy in the Run” by Jay Chou apparently) and it’s complete with “yeehaws” which is way better when an Asian person does it and I can’t explain how or why.

Also, my kid has been having anxiety attacks lately. She went to the doctor for it today but she has to wait for bloodwork to come back before she gets anything for it. But anyway… I have a stuffed bat that I keep with me for my own anxiety. I named her Ophelia. I asked if she wanted to pet her… Then my partner’s eyes bugged out.

Y’all…

“Pet Ophelia” sounds like “pedophilia” when said quietly in a restaurant. Maybe I should just call her Fi in public.

EDIT: i removed the “trump refused to swear on the bible” point because it was being taken as me being an offended christian. i’m not christian, im agnostic. the reason i included it in the first place is because he’s the first president in history to ever refuse to swear on ANYTHING. meanwhile his “conservative christian” followers had no issue with this, and decided to continue to scramble for excuses instead of admitting he may not be as religious as he claims he is. i figured taking that point out entirely is probably better than filling this with an explanation in the middle of the other important issues.
