I really appreciate your explanation. "It's sci-fi" is such a lame excuse when in certain canon I've seen it mentioned that only some bots are equipped for space travel. It's entirely possible they've developed engines that don't function like Earth cars (cuz I'm pretty sure oxygen isn't a thing on Cybertron) but if they're using Earth tech they should have Earth restrictions

Oh well it’s kinda funny. I think oxygen exists on Cybertron. Maybe mixed with some other things but I think they have it.

Because we know for sure that fire definitely exists on Cybertron. And not just as a part of Hot Rod’s superpowers but also like. Things burn and explode and that means there must be SOME kind of atmosphere because things don’t burn without it. So even if they don’t have oxygen they must have some other kind of air on their planet. And that air allows combustion process to happen. …apparently:|

And things also rust. As far as I know rust cannot happen without oxygen. At least real non magical rust.

So yeah. Perhaps Cybertronian atmosphere is weird and toxic and alien and other words but it allows burning and oxidising. So I believe I spotted oxygen in there (or. Some analog of it perhaps)

#Misconception of earth air is that it’s mostly nitrogen not oxygen #So you could just spin this around and say the majority of cybertrons atmosphere consists of pure oxygen #Which would still make it toxic for humans #And like be a magic scifi explanation for ‘super rust’ and big explosives #transformers #cybertron
