In this chapter, Gustave spends time alone in his tower until Verso comes back to him; while in the present Gustave and Verso finally encounter one another in Lumière.

Fic: Smudged in the Margins, Chapter 2 Gustave/Verso, NC-17 As a lonely teenager, Verso paints himself a friend on a small, hidden canvas: Gustave, a confidant who quietly grows into something more. After the fracture, the other Verso finds Gustave again in Lumière. It should be impossible - and keeping his distance might be.
