Today I watched the much-anticipated movie Kimetsu no Yaiba…
And let me tell you, it’s the best! Like after the movie ended (We stayed for an hour inside the theater for the live viewing of the short seiyuu event - with Hanae, Sakurai, Ishida, with Lisa) , I really wanted to buy another ticket coz I wanna watch it again, but because of the few train schedules going back home, I decided to watch it again during summer vacation.
Best part for me is probably the Akaza vs Giyuu fight. Like both are really cool. The emotional scenes of Shinobu and Akaza was so heartbreaking. Especially when Akaza cried!! Kudos to Ishida Akira san! 🥲🥲🥲
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the movie’s Blu ray. Next time I’ll have to watch it on Imax!

I was watching some clips of the Mashle stage play. God, this guy is perfect to play Wirth. I've seen some clips of them playing games with the rest of the Adler and Lang stage actors. It was fun.
I dunno if this clip is restricted in your area. Hope its not.
I wanna watch the second stage. But traveling to the Honshu is expensive. 😣😣
Additional clip of Orter's stage actor dancing the 2nd OP.

Orter Madl HC part 9
parts 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 here
Ryoh suddenly arrived at the scene and was looking for his fellow visionary. Wirth wants to encase everyone in his mud and murder his stupid brother, 008 wants some tea of what was happening inside the room. While Orter and the lady were just being themselves.
Chapter 9 - Goodbye, Ursla
The head of the Magic Security Force and the Light Cane, Ryoh Grantz, arrived at the scene.
"GET LOST!!!" Wirth screamed at the Light Cane in his head.
Ryoh felt that there were people on the second floor so he immediately headed up and saw both Wirth and 008 standing in front of the door.
One look at Wirth's worried face made the Light Cane think something bad had occurred. And it was very unusual that the Desert Cane was nowhere to be seen.
He thought the worst and walked briskly toward Wirth. He felt his fellow Divine Visionary's aura behind the door, but Wirth is currently blocking it. He also felt another aura inside.
He tried to confirm with the younger Madl whether Orter was inside the room. 008 was the one who spoke up and confirmed, stating, "According to Wirth-sama, Orter-sama is tending to someone's wound at the moment." with a little emphasis on the "According to Wirth-sama" phrase.
Ryoh stared at poor Wirth who was not only looking worried but was also as red as a tomato. Ryoh thought it was very suspicious.
Wirth was AGAIN mentally berating his big stupid brother and hoped they'd shut their mouth and be done with whatever they were doing.
However, even the UNIVERSE abandoned him.
There were sounds of fabric (probably bed sheets) ruffling followed by the sound of a woman groaning (in pain) and a man's short, low one after.
++++++++
"Ngh. If you grip that hard, you'll leave bruises on my shoulders." (Orter)
"Sorry. I-it hurts, you know. And I already told you not to press it that way!" (The lady whose voice sounded like she was shrieking in pain.)
"Apologies. But can you grab something else instead of my shoulders? The pain in my shoulder is distracting. I would like to do this correctly."
"You insensitive idiot! It's easier for me this way."
"Also, can you lift your right leg a little? I can't see it this way."
"Mhmkay. Just be gentle. That one hurts like mad."
++++++++
With that, the men behind the door were all red in the face. They were all mentally asking each other WTF was happening inside.
Wirth, who was sure before that Orter wasn't doing anything "suspicious", was currently questioning his brother's innocence.
008 wants to believe that his superior was not doing anything dubious with the lady and was trying to convince himself that the conversation was very innocent, but his mind was telling him otherwise and was now calling Orter his SUSperior.
On the other hand, Ryoh, who has just arrived at the crime scene, seems to be enjoying the scenario and has placed himself glued to the door like a lizard on the wall, listening intently to the noises inside the room. He was pretty sure that conversation was that of a couple enjoying themselves.
He was proud of Orter and was mentally telling him to make sure she enjoyed it (spoiler: she didn't) and to not be so rough. But he would also like to give his fellow visionary a lecture about choosing the right time and place to do THE DEED.
Another soldier came to the house, but this time, he was looking for Ryoh. He grabbed both Wirth and 008 by their collar and told them to give the two inside the room some privacy and to wait on the first floor. So he dragged the two men with him to the lower floor.
The soldier reported the progress of the fire situation and the number of detainees they had captured to the Light Cane. Unfortunately, one of the culprits who was also one of the ex-officials managed to escape during the chaos and they are actively searching for him.
Wirth wasn't happy to hear that and suggested he'd look for guy himself since for sure the guy hadn't escaped that far. But Ryoh told him to leave it to the magic security personnel.
The soldier also told Ryoh that they hadn't seen the Desert Cane yet, which made Wirth and 008 go back to their tomato-like state.
Ryoh assured the officer that he would personally inform Orter about it and that the Desert Cane was in the middle of helping "increase the population." The soldier looked confused but had accepted that answer and dismissed himself.
After around ten minutes, the door on the second floor opened. Orter went straight to the first floor with the basin and an empty glass in hand. He still looked as stoic as he had always been.
He saw the three men on the first floor. Wirth immediately asked about the lady.
Orter answered in a very "Orter" way that she was fine and was currently CHANGING. (Bless this man's stupid butt)
That did not help his case. The three dudes went Pikachu face after that. Wirth was ready to pounce on his brother and commit murder. 008 was in disbelief. Ryoh, however, with his right hand on his chin, looked at the Desert Cane with pride.
There was a long pause after that. Wirth decided to break the silence by asking Orter in a loud voice to confirm that his big brother was definitely just tending to the lady so the others can hear it. He tried to telepathically (he doesn't have that power) to say "Yes" or else.
And Orter confirmed it. He noticed his younger brother sighed in relief. At least, the other two hopefully would scratch whatever they had in mind about Orter's previous activity and thrown it out of the window.
Wirth started berating his brother for being too stupid. He wanted to ask his brother about the state of the lady (her clothes, mostly) and was hoping that the older Madl let her cover herself with something while he was tending to her wounds. But he couldn't find the courage to ask it because of the presence of the other two in the room and their "already" funny ideas might get even funnier once they know Orter was left doing things with an almost-naked lady in a closed room.
Wirth ended up asking it in a not-so-clear, inaudible way (so the others would not hear, fat chance though) that even Orter was confused. "Hey! Did you....you know...covered her at least... after I left?" His face was red as a tomato.
Unfortunately, Orter went "huh?" on him.
"You! You know... she was... you know... in that state (half-naked state)..."
Ryoh's interest was piqued.
Orter thought for a moment before answering, "No, it would just slow me down. I don't mind at all. She doesn't mind either."
"You ass!" He couldn't believe how nonchalant his brother and the lady was. Both of them were not normal. Then Wirth suddenly thought that perhaps, his brother and the lady knew each other before this.
He would have berated his brother even more if not for the presence of the lady (fully-clothed, of course) walking down the stairs.
When Ryoh saw the lady, he nodded approvingly, "Orter knows how to choose his lady." He thought.
The five of them talked at the dinning table and 008 told the lady that she shouldn't stay in Ursla because the of the state the village was in at that moment. Also, with the report of an ex-official still on the run, there was a big chance he'll come to take her life. And that there may also be other people who wants to kill her.
She told 008 that she understood his point and to give her some time to think.
That morning, the entire magic police and security personnel in Ursla departed to the capital with the detainees.
Wirth, 008, and Ryoh were waiting for the other two at the entrance of the village.
008 recalled the conversation they had last night with the lady, hoping she would come with them.
Orter announced that she would be coming with them to the capital to discuss some things including what happened last night, the events in Ursla a few years back, and also the black dragon she defeated.
Orter showed up to the entrance together with the lady. She decided to leave Ursla.
Wirth said it would make him feel more at ease knowing she would be coming with them and assured her that they would keep her safe.
He then asked his brother about her accommodation while staying in the capital. 008 suggested that she could stay in one of the spare dorm room in the Bureau of Magic building. Wirth didn't like that and suggested they could let her stay in a villa near the building.
Orter nonchalantly told them that both him and the lady have talked about it that morning and decided she would stay in his place.
008 and Wirth nodded at first, but went "HUH!!!?" right after realizing what Orter was saying. They still have not forgotten the embarrassing event that occurred the other night even though the misunderstanding should have been cleared by now.
Wirth asked the lady if she was truly fine living in the same roof as "that guy" (his brother, lol). She told Wirth that it was perfectly fine and that she used to live with just her father after her mom died so she doesn't mind living with a man in a house.
Wirth screamed, "NO! THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!" in his head. How on earth was she so calm about the arrangement.
And then he had an epiphany all of a sudden. He concluded that his brother and the lady may have been lovers before but something happened and they split. That, for him, explains their nonchalant behavior during those two events (last night and the living together decision-morning talk, lol).
Ryoh was AGAIN looking so proud of Orter. He put his arm around Wirth's and told the young man that he should be proud of his brother for taking responsibility. A very manly guy, indeed.
++++++++++
Last night, while Wirth was trying to protect his brother's image from prying people, Orter was busy placing a magic handkerchief on the lady's wounds, mostly on parts of her body that she couldn't see or reach. He tends to press the handkerchief way too hard on the wounds, so the lady is mostly groaning in pain. She was instructing him on how to do it properly, and sometimes flat out told him that she would just do it herself but he didn't listen to her. There were big bruises on her thighs and legs especially at the back. Orter made sure he had every single bruise healed by the magic handkerchief.
"Hmm... You're not good with your hands, aren't you?" implying his lack of control with his strength. (Unfortunately, Ryoh heard that part when he was super glued to the door and thought that Orter was doing whatever the "God's work" he was doing with his hand. But then the soldier came and the men went to the first floor afterward.)
Orter said that he was not used to tending people's wounds and that he was never injured (badly, just some scapes) before so he was not sure if the pressure he was putting into the wounds was okay. The lady just "hmmm.." at his answer.
She then told him that he looked very much like himself (stoic/nonchalant) even though he was in front of an almost-naked woman, touching her all over the place and that most men, just like his younger brother, would feel uncomfortable in this situation.
"I could say the same to you." Orter retorted. He added that women in this situation would normally try to cover themselves in embarrassment or would probably hit the man in front of them. But she seemed rather relaxed and comfortable.
She thought for a moment and told Orter that she actually saw him few years ago. Before she went away to find the source of the disease. This piqued Orter's interest.
He doesn't remember coming to the village before, not even the places near Ursla. It was his first time coming to the province. He remembered the lady mentioned during the Nihara a few nights ago that she had not been out of the village before that.
This time, he was the one thinking. Then he realized something. He stared at the lady and asked if she saw him in that "thing."
The lady looked back at him confused but realized what he meant by "that thing" and confirmed that she indeed saw him the first time in "that thing" and that she remembered it quite well because of his unusual eyes.
She then asked him how he knew about it. He admitted to having remembered seeing her in "that thing" while he was watching her dance at the square during the Nihara. He added that it was when he was in his first year in high school together with a friend.
She murmured that she hoped he had not seen anything weird in "that thing." However, Orter answered that his stupid friend did something stupid at that time and he ended up seeing something he was not supposed to see. Orter then apologized to her. She told him not to worry about it and that the same case happened to her at that time she first saw him.
Both of them became quiet after and thought, "No wonder he's/she's fine with this."
That morning, she went out to visit the graveyard one last time. The lady saw Orter at the site so she approached him. They talked about her decision and Orter just nodded like he was already expecting it. He then proposed that she should live with him since it would be pointless and a waste of money if they would make her live in an apartment nearby. Also, since both of them have seen "it", then there shouldn't be a problem, and it was bound to happen anyway. The lady agreed and told him she would still pay him back, in which he just shrugged and said to do as she pleases.
While she was praying to the graves, Orter saw the old lady from a few days back. She was a bit far from their spot. The old lady smiled and him and bowed, as if thanking him for fulfilling her wish. And just like that, she disappeared into thin air.
Orter had a feeling that there was something with the old lady on that day they met. But since he did not feel any negative aura from her, Orter let it slide. But he still wondered who she was and her relationship with the lady.
After saying goodbye, both the lady and Orter walked to the entrance of the village to meet with everyone.
+++++++++++
Extra:
Last night, when the lady went down after changing, he saw the men on the first floor.
Wirth asked her how she was doing, and she said she was fine and that thanks to Orter, most of her wounds were healed and no longer hurt.
Ryoh then stood up and bowed. He introduced himself and told her his purpose in coming to the village. She bowed curtly and thanked him for coming all the way from the capital.
The Light Cane asked her politely for her name. Realizing that she should have told him after introducing himself, she apologize profusely and told him that she was not used to introducing herself to others.
Orter and Wirth realized something at that moment. They have yet to learn her name because the stupid brothers forgot to ask her even after spending time with her. They just call her "You," "Her," "That lady," and "Hey" all the time. They looked dumbfounded because they forgot to ask the most basic of all questions.
008 looked at them judgingly. He got the chance to ask for her name during their cooking hangout. At that time, the lady asked him not to tell the others her name because she would like to wait till they asked for it, just like how 008 found out her name. He was under the impression that the other two already knew by now.
"My name is Nadiya. Nice to meet you, Mr. Grantz."

That ends the Ursla Arc. It took me quite some time to write this into the tumble draft, but I'm happy with the outcome. I haven't finished writing the second arc (it'll probably have 9 chapters, too). I want to finish writing the first draft before typing it into the Tumblr draft, so it may take quite some time. That arc will have the answer to "that thing" but I guess you will have an idea about it if you have read the manga.
Also, her name means "hope" in both Arabic, Ukrainian, and Russian origin. I would like her name's meaning to have something to do with her main purpose/goal. Just like with Orter's "Order" and Wirth's "Worth". I would have wanted the name to sound similar to the words hope or change, but decided to stick with Nadiya.
The lady will also meet the rest of the cast and she will make tons of friends. She will also be a bit protective of a certain someone, much to Orter's displeasure. And Renatus + Kaldo + Ryoh trolling will start with poor Rayne being the victim.

Orter Madl HC part 8
parts 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 here
Most of the buildings in Ursla were burned to the ground and the village was almost unrecognizable. Someone important came from the capital to assist and was looking for Orter, but he was still busy with something and Wirth was not letting anyone know what it was.
Chapter 8 - The Aftermath
When Orter, Wirth, and the magic police force arrived in Ursla, they witnessed the mobs burning the houses.
The officers immediately took action and captured the people in the area. Meanwhile, Orter sensed the lady's aura and figured she was probably at the square. He ordered Wirth to help deal with the culprits. He then disappeared in an instant using his sands.
As he reached the square, he saw the lady fighting her attackers and cast a spell that threw a man into a burning building. Even though it happened fast, he was able to recognize the man as the ex-official who was supposed to be detained. He also recognizes a few more ex-officials in the crowd.
The lady seemed to be struggling to keep up with her attack and looked like she was going to faint anytime soon. She was also trying to cover her body with her tattered clothes.
While they were still trying to reach Ursla a few minutes ago, he sensed a really strong aura coming from the town. As someone who can summon a third line and has witnessed a few wizards like Ryoh, Rayne, and Renatus summon their third line, he knew that someone from the village had summoned a third line. He immediately concluded that it was the lady.
However, the lady no longer had the third line, confirming the inconsistency of her third line and her not properly learning how to summon it.
He finally stepped in between the lady and the attackers and detained everyone in the area.
Wirth and some officers captured the culprits while the others who were free or had water-based magic helped stop the spread of fire.
When a few magic police arrived at the square, they put the people Orter caged in his sands in magic handcuffs and were placed in magic bottles. Orter gave out orders to the officers before excusing himself. He turned to the lady who was standing inside his sands and struggling to keep her eyes open. When he moved closer to her, she murmured a thank you. Instead of replying back, Orter removed his coat and wrapped it around her.
Without further ado, he carried her in his arms, which made her yelp. He then started walking toward her house. She told him that she could walk, so Orter stopped and they had a staring match for a few seconds before the lady grabbed Orter by the fabric on his shoulders. She threatened him not to drop her to the ground and she was also fine with not walking for the time being and murmured another thanks. At that time, she imagined Orter just dropping her without prior notice and her body was still not in a good state to hit the ground the second time tonight. Orter, on the other hand, huffed and continued walking.
Wirth saw them and ran toward his brother. He looked really worried when he saw the state she was in. He asked her if she sustained serious injuries and if they had done something else to her (even though she was now covered in Orter's coat, it was still pretty obvious that the clothing underneath was ripped. She reassured Wirth that she was fine and nothing else happened aside from the beatings.
Wirth, however, was not convinced because of the bruises and her tattered clothes. He blurted that he would bury the perverts in mud. The lady asked him not to go burying people in mud.
They arrived at her house which was luckily not affected by the fire. Orter carried the lady to the second floor while Wirth went to get a glass of water and a basin full of water so she could wipe off the dirt on her body. He used levitating magic to carry the basin to her room on the second floor.
As he entered the room, he saw his brother and the lady sitting at the edge of the bed. He was checking on her and asking if she was feeling any other pain in her body. The younger Madl gave her a glass of water and placed the basin on the study table near the bed.
When Wirth looked back at the lady, he witnessed Orter removing his coat on her, exposing her tattered clothes and her almost naked body.
Even though Wirth has a rough personality, he still considers himself a gentleman and is very flustered to see a woman in that state. He immediately looked away, apologized, and hurriedly exited the room.
He leaned on the door behind him to compose himself and cursed himself for running out pathetically. He also mentally cursed his brother for suddenly removing his coat, knowing she was in that state, and should have waited till both of them were out so she could wipe herself and change. That he is a moron for exposing a lady's body in front of men.
And realization hit him, his stupid brother was still in the room with the half-naked lady.
He was so angry at his brother at this point and was about to shout at him from the door when he heard someone entered the house. It was one of the officers who was looking for Orter.
Wirth suddenly felt a wave of panic. No one should know that Orter was in a room with an almost-naked lady or else the Madl's reputation would be at stake.
He told the officer who was standing at the main door on the first floor to wait.
As he was about to knock on the lady's room, he heard their voices from behind the door.
"I can't believe they ruined my favorite nightgown..."
"You seem to have lots of bruises here, show me your back."
"Ouch! Hey! It hurts when you touch it that way. Can you at least be gentle!?"
Wirth knows that NOTHING suspicious is happening inside and their conversation seems innocent. However, his mind had other ideas.
He told the officers that Orter was busy and to just do what he needed to do. The officer looked confused but then left.
Wirth wants to go somewhere to get rid of the embarrassment but he worries that someone might see Orter in that embarrassing scenario and rumors would spread about it, tarnishing both his reputation as a visionary and at the same time their family name.
He heard the main door open again, and whoever that b$tch was immediately walked to the stairs without saying anything. Luckily it was 008. He was greeted by Wirth who was leaning suspiciously on the door. He asked the young Madl what he was doing and was told nothing. Wirth then asked 008 why he was in Ursla. 008 reported that the Light Cane came with the security forces and he guided them to Ursla.
Yikes, the Light Cane is here, Wirth thought.
He was cursing his brother again mentally and was telepathically (though he couldn't do it) asking him how long is he planning on staying inside the room with the lady.
008 finds it suspicious that Wirth is so glued to the door and was making weird expressions. He decided to approach the young man and didn't seem to be listening even when Wirth told him not to stay back. 008 thought that it was unusual for Wirth to be in such a panic, and was beginning to worry if something bad happened. He was now facing the door with Wirth in between.
He asked Wirth what he was trying to hide. The young Madl was now praying to whoever Gods were available at that moment that those two inside the room wouldn't make any suspicious noise.
But the Gods did not hear his prayer.
The voices inside the room were a little bit louder.
The lady seemed to be groaning in pain with whatever Orter was doing to her.
"Hnnnn!!! That seriously hurts! I told you not to press too hard!"
"Sorry. I'm not used to doing this thing. How about this?"
"Hmm.. Much better. It hurts in this part too, but I can't see it. Can you check?"
"Sure."
Wirth was mentally screaming "WTF" but immediately tried to calm himself down and convinced himself that it was a NORMAL conversation and there was NOTHING suspicious in what they have just heard.
008, who also heard the voices, was now red in the cheeks and asked Wirth if the lady and his superior were inside the room.
Wirth told him it was just an officer but 008 was not buying it. He is 100% sure it was Orter and the lady. He asked again why they were in the room. The young Madl answered that they were just tending to the lady's wounds, which confirmed 008's suspicions.
He asked him again why he was not letting anyone enter the room if Orter was just TENDING to her wounds. In the end, Wirth tried to make excuses that made no sense.
Wirth prayed that no one else would come to the house. He probably can do something about 008.
But then again, he was abandoned by God.
Someone pushed that main door wide open, and in a big voice, called for Orter.
It was the head of the Magic Security Force and the Light Cane, Ryoh Grantz.
"GET LOST!!!" Wirth screamed at the Light Cane in his head.

Chapter 8 done. Seems like I need 2 more chapters to finish this arc. I wanted to add more after Ryoh arrived at the scene, however, I think I would end up reaching the word limit before I could finish his part. So, we'll continue this in the next chapter.
Luckily, my back pain is slowly fading. Maybe because I have now started doing morning and evening exercise. And that patch I bought online was working great.

Orter Madl HC part 7
parts 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 here
The people continued their attack on the Witch of Ursla. And now she's extremely pissed at a certain ex-official.
Warning: There will be violence and as***lt in this chapter.
Chapter 7 - Punishment
The horrible memories of the time they were cast away by the official kept replaying in the lady's mind, making her riled up. The lady started casting a strong spell to attack.
But before she could attack the ex-official, a voice suddenly came across her mind. It was the voice of the sickly girl she tried to save.
During that time, she also lost her composure due to pent-up anger and tried to attack the same official, but the girl stopped her and told her she shouldn't hurt people. That the villagers and her dad would be sad if she did so.
She suddenly stopped in the middle of casting the spell and the people at the back found it a chance to attack from behind. They hit her head with a bat so hard that she fell on her knees, and the people continued to assault her, especially her head.
The ex-official ordered them to pin her to the ground and shouted that dark witches like her should be executed. He asked the mob how they should punish her. Some shouted that she should be burned, others said impalement, while a few suggested beating her to death.
He thought for a bit and decided to impale and burn her to death. He also told the mob that they were very much welcome to throw things at her while she burned down to oblivion.
Another ex-official suggested that they should remove her clothing so she could feel the humiliation they had felt the other day. Some perverts took the opportunity to suggest that she should be viol*ted before impaling her so she would lose her dignity before dying. The ex-official said that black witches like her don't have any dignity at all, but if it adds humiliation and torture, then he will allow it. That she deserves all of it because of her sins.
While all of these were happening, the lady was lying on the ground, loosing all of her strength, silent, and was just listening to them. The pain in her head was excruciating and they had a strong hold of her arms and legs. Her wand was a few inches away from her but she didn't feel like grabbing it.
The lady looked defeated. She thought that maybe, this was her punishment from God. Because even though the people of Ursla hoped that she would make a change on how people treat magic users, she didn't do anything at all. Instead of enhancing her magic before the tragedy occurred, she was just playing around and not training at all.
If only she had trained earlier, she would have at least saved more lives. She would have saved her parents. The sickly girl wouldn't have to die so young and would have grown into a wonderful teenager by now. The people of Ursla would still be living their lives happily. She failed them, she thought. she failed her parents, she failed to make a change for the non-magic users, she failed the people of Ursla, even failed to protect what was left behind by the people she loved. She remembered what she said that morning to Orter's group and thought that she wouldn't be able to help them because she was weak.
As the men started ripping off her nightgown, she was just looking aimlessly at the sky and thought that after this suffering, she could be with everyone else and she wouldn't be lonely anymore. She can ask for forgiveness directly for failing them. As she closed her eyes, the image of Orter's spiral eyes suddenly appeared in her head, and remembered a memory from a while back that made her stare at his eyes all the time he was in Ursla. She remembered 008 telling her she shouldn't be blaming herself for what had happened, and Wirth asking her if she really wants to remain in the village. An image of the sickly girl appeared in front of her and told her to live and no one from the village blamed her and they were happy she came back home alive. For them, that was the most important thing. That it was time to move forward.
With that, the lady's tears started falling, and said to herself that she was sorry for giving up so easily.
Her magic powers started to rise again, and before the men surrounding her could touch her any further, they were all thrown away by the aura she released.
She shouted that she refused to die, especially at the hands of the people like them. She refused to be defiled by them and that she would fight them.
While holding onto the loose fabric of her tattered clothes, she cast a spell that made the mob's weapon move on its own and attack its owners. She had disarmed them of their wands as well. She used a strong offensive spell to hit the ex-official and throw him into a burning building.
Her vision started to blur from all the beatings she received in the head a few moments back. She noticed a new wave of mob trying to attack her but she couldn't see them clearly and her consciousness was fading.
As she prepared to cast another spell, she felt a very familiar aura appeared to where she was standing. It was the aura of the person she spent a few days in the village and was supposed to be on the way to the capital.
She tried to regain her vision and saw a green coat with the mark of the Desert Cane imprinted at the back. She said his name in a daze.
Orter, without looking at her, apologizes for being late and that they will take care of the rest. He commended her for being able to withstand this far without killing anyone.
She smiled a bit and told him that she may have just killed a certain someone (the ex-official) and that she should be compensated for this mess. Orter huffed at this.
The lady, feeling safe behind Orter, almost fainted and fell to the ground. But Orter's sand protected her from the fall and also covered her almost naked body with his sand.
Orter, using his sand, restrained the attackers and picked up the almost unconscious ex-official who was thrown into a burning building by the lady a few moments back using his sand.
He then made the official face him while still encased in his sand and threatened to end him at the scene if he made any movement. That he'll be sure that the ex-official will face harsh punishment once they're in the capital.
The said official was trembling in fear of Orter and passed out.

Also, the next chapter (hopefully-depends on the word count) would be the end of this arc.
After this chapter, the story will be lighter, and there will be some funny scenarios here and there starting from the next chapter.

Orter Madl HC part 6
parts 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 here
The men left the village and the lady behind and went to the town. As they prepare to leave for the capital, they receive a horrifying news
Chapter 6 - Burn the Witch
The next day, Orter and the rest bid farewell to the lady. They need to discuss with the higher about the case of Ursla and Orter needs to go back to the capital.
The lady gave Wirth some samples of the medicine she created all those years back so he could study it and said that if something similar happened in other places, they could always ask for her help. 008 thanked her for caring for them, though she said she never did. He also thanked her for teaching him new recipes.
Orter just kept looking at her without saying anything. Wirth ended up scolding him for being disrespectful.
The lady, who noticed Orter's staring, asked if there was something wrong with her face. Wirth told her that his older brother was just a constipated weirdo and to forgive him.
As they were walking away, Wirth asked if it was really right to leave her alone in that village. Orter casually answered that she'll probably leave the village soon, if "that thing" was accurate.
Wirth was confused and tried to pry for more details, especially about what "that thing" was. But his older brother ignored him. Wirth got suspicious and thought that the lady and his brother may have known each other before.
008 asked if they could use their magic broom to go to the main town. Orter and Wirth paused, realizing that they can summon their brooms and make their travel faster. They got used to not using it during the travel.
They still needed to do a few things in the town before heading back to the capital. Some magic police officers, together with the detainees, have departed to the capital early in the morning. They will meet with the magic security force waiting near the capital.
That night, while Orter was reading some reports, an injured officer came to see him and was informed that the magic police officers had been attacked by a group of men and freed the detainees from the magic glass bottles (they have different magic glass bottles used to detain a huge number of people and only from the magic police force and magic security force can use it). The attackers were a bunch of two-liners and they destroyed the officers' wands and stole their brooms.
Orter wanted to reprimand the poor officer for being weak and letting the detainees escape, but he decided against it and ordered the remaining troops in town to hunt down the detainees. Another report came that some people from nearby villages were seen walking towards the direction of Ursla armed with weapons aside from their wands.
He realized that the detainees may have spread some lies to these people and were probably heading toward Ursla together with them.
Orter and Wirth summoned their brooms and went straight to Ursla with the troops. 008 was left behind to coordinate with the backup troops and was calling the magic security force waiting at the border of the capital to report the incident.
It was dead in the night and the lady was having another nightmare of the past, she was startled awake. She heard strange sounds and smelled something burning.
She immediately went outside and saw some houses burning. She ran near the square and saw a bunch of men destroying and burning down the place.
She was horrified at the sight and tried stopping the people but someone shouted that the witch of Ursla had appeared. The man who shouted was pointing at her and told the others to attack her.
She was able to dodge the multiple magic and physical attacks directed at her. She wanted to use her magic but hesitated because she noticed that most of the people attacking her were probably residents from other villages. Also, aside from that altercation with Wirth a few days back, she had not used her powers in a long while so she was not sure if she could control it properly to avoid killing her attackers. Another thing is that because she noticed that Wirth was a strong wizard, she didn't need to hold back at that time.
So instead of attacking, she kept dodging the attack. The man who shouted kept telling people to attack her. That the witch needs to be burned to death to purify the place after killing everyone in Ursla and trying to lure people from other villages, that it was strange that she survived the disease while the others died, and that she had bewitched one of the divine visionaries so she won't get executed and put the blame on the officials.
The people believed him and they tried attacking with more powerful spells all at once, that even the lady was having a hard time dodging and defending herself unless she uses more magic.
She cast the offensive spell she used to push Wirth back during that time to counterattack but made sure it wasn't strong enough to kill anyone. The mob who were attacking her were nowhere as strong as Wirth, who was able to withstand the attack, however with their number, it would be hard for her not to use offensive magic.
The man who was still shouting found an opportunity to prove his point. He told the mob that the witch was dangerous and was willing to kill innocent people.
She suddenly remembered the man as the ex-official who drove her and the sickly girl away when they went to town for help. (It was the same guy that Orter mentally destroyed the other day) She got very angry and a dangerous level of magical aura emitted from her body.
She threatened to kill him this time and people like him should perish. Her menacing look and aura made the people surrounding her scared.
A third line started to appear on her face as she cast a power spell.

That ends chapter 6 of this story. This chapter was supposed to be longer, but it seems like there's a character limit so I have to divide it into two. There will only be two or three more chapters (probably just two) before the Ursla arc ends. I planned on having three arcs for this story.
Also a huge thanks to all those who have read this fanfic. I couldn't post anything for the past few days because of work and back pain (being old is hard).

Orter Madl HC part 4
parts 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 here
The Witch of Ursla decided to tell the real story of how the village became deserted.
CHAPTER 4 - The Plague
After a little bit of awkward silence, Orter decided to ask if she was born in Ursla and if the single-liner man in the picture was her father. The lady confirmed both.
She was an only child born from a single-liner man and a non-magic woman. Her mother was also born and raised in Ursla, while her father came to the village when he was about 10 after being abandoned by his own parents due to his weak power. The people of Ursla accepted and took care of her father and later on married her mother.
The villagers were very happy about her birth, being healthy and a double-liner at that. They hoped that the girl would prosperity in their village. Hoping that one day, she will bridge the gap between the non-liners and the magic users, making everyone realize that they can all coexist.
Unfortunately, around 9 years ago, a disease started plaguing the village and people died one after the other. The young girl noticed a thread-like aura surrounding the area and thought that it may have been the reason why people had gotten sick.
She wanted to find the source of the aura so she asked her parents. But her parents forbid her from doing so, saying that she would end up hurt since she had not trained using her magic skills for so long. She never went to a magic school, and because the villagers can't use magic when doing daily tasks, she also followed their example and got used to not using magic at all.
The village chief had sent multiple requests for help to the nearby town where the local officials were situated. But instead of helping them, they were ordered to not leave the village and if they do, they will be hunted down and executed. No one helped the villagers and were abandoned. The nearby towns and villages were given notice not to approach Ursla due to a contagious disease.
As days went by, the girl noticed that both her parents had become weaker, and her father's line started to disappear. Then, her mother passed away and her father could no longer move a lot. Two months after that, the line in his face completely disappeared and his condition worsened.
Almost every day, the villagers would hold a funeral for those who have fallen victim to the disease. The girl thought that if she didn't do anything, everyone in the village would die, including herself. So she started planning her escape.
She hesitated to go out of the village because she worried that her father might not make it before she returned. Not to mention, she had not gone out of the village before. But she desperately wanted to find a way to cure the disease, so she decided to continue with her escape plan and set off secretly in the middle of the night. The girl left a letter to her father, apologizing for leaving him and promising to find a way to cure everyone.
She was able to track down the source of the problem by following the thread-like aura and came face-to-face with a jet-black dragon. The dragon feeds on human lifespan, especially on weak humans. It had sent his aura to different places to find prey and ended up in Ursla.
The 15-year-old girl, with no formal magic training, tried to confront the dragon but was obviously defeated. She managed to escape the dragon through a magic spell her father taught her when she was very young. After tending to her wounds, she was contemplating if she should just report the dragon to a nearby town. It would be very hard for her to defeat the dragon.
The location of the black dragon was pretty far from human civilization. She worried that if she went to ask for help and they realized she was from Ursla, she would be executed. So instead of asking for help, she decided to confront the dragon again and started planning her next attack. She also brought with her some magic books from her father and some books she bought along the way and used to search for strong counter spells against the dragon. To save the villagers of Ursla, she needed to kill the dragon.
It took her eleven attempts in a span of a year to finally defeat the dragon using her personal magic. During that time, she was able to enhance her magic powers immensely and learned strong magic spells on her own.
Using the flesh and blood of the dragon, she concocted a medicine that might help cure the disease. She rushed back to Ursla, only to find out that her father and most of the villagers had died. Only a little girl remained alive but was on the brink of death due to disease and starvation.
She tried the medicine on the weak girl, however she was far too weak and was in the late stage of the disease.
Desperate, she carried the girl out of the village and went to the nearby town to plead for help. She was denied entry to the town even after telling them the cause of the mysterious disease and that she just needed a bit of help from them so she could make a more effective medicine to cure the weak child. They were pushed away by the officials in charge who told them that it is for the good of everyone if non-magic users disappear from this world. She countered that her father was a magic user and did not receive any help at all. The official shouted that her father must have been a weak person because he got killed by a mere disease. That society doesn't need weak people like him.
The sickly girl asked her if she could take her back home to be with everyone. With a heavy heart, they returned to Ursla. The sickly girl unfortunately died in her arms as they reached the entrance of the village. Since then, the girl who survived stayed in Ursla alone and the rumor about the witch of Ursla started.
Back to the present, everyone was quiet even after the lady told them the story from a few years back.
Orter was the first one to break the ice. He asked if she was able to summon her secondth while fighting the dragon. Wirth thought to himself that his brother should have said something else first before asking that question, that it was very insensitive of him. She answered that during the last battle, her wand changed appearance, and was able to summon something very powerful. But her memories of that day were now very hazy. She thought that it might have been the secondth she had read on one of the books she purchased during her journey. The men, who are more familiar with how personal magic works, wanted to tell her about the existence of Thirds. They realized that she was actually a third-liner and had access to Thirds.
Orter asked again if she was able to use "that" magic again, but she said no. She forgot how she was able to pull off such immense power probably due to the adrenaline rush. At that time, she only wanted to defeat the dragon as quickly as possible so she could return to Ursla immediately and save as many villagers as possible.
She sadly smiled as she said that in the end, she was not able to save anyone and was not able to see her father again.
Another round of awkward silence befell everyone. The lady then turned and stared at Orter's eyes and was the first one to break the silence.
She said that she remembered something while looking at Orter. Orter asked what it was and if there was something wrong with his face but she just casually said it was none of his business. She apologized for staring and for telling them such a depressing story and went back to her house.

Orter Madl HC part 5
parts 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 here
Orter had a second round of calm rampage. The men then bid farewell to the witch of Ursla.
CHAPTER 5 - The Last Night
The next day, Orter and Wirth returned to the town where the officials were located. It was the same town the lady mentioned last night. It was also the same town that the report about the witch came from.
When they came to the town, a magic police officer greeted them at the entrance. Poor guy, he immediately senses Orter's not-so-nice aura, so he quickly leads them to the provincial office. After that, he suddenly vanished from the scene.
Orter had a very long talk with the head official, slapping him with question after question. The official tried to make excuses as to why the capital was not informed of the situation in Ursla at that time, the reason he disregarded the plea from the village head and the survivor for help, and the reason why he did not include the report of the jet-black dragon that the survivor mentioned when she came to the town with the dying girl.
The man then said that the head official at that time actually wanted to execute everyone in Ursla for being non-magic people. During that time, the former head of the Magical Power Administration was in town due to personal reasons. So, he was well aware of the situation in Ursla. The man had given the order to not extend any help to Ursla and let them die out because it would be a great way to remove the non-magicians without them lifting a finger. He also said that they no longer need to send the report to the capital.
Wirth was really trying his very best not to lose his cool and kill the official in front of them and hunt down those in charge at that time. Orter remained composed, his tone was not the amused one.
He was actually pissed that they dared to hide such an important case from the central, that people may have been saved at that time. That they, including the nutjob former head of his department, disobeyed the protocol of their office. He suddenly remembered Alex's last word of bringing order to the world so that no more lives would be lost.
He told the official in a very cold tone that if he had not mandated all reports from 15 years back to be sent to the capital, none from the central office would know of this case. And if something similar occurred, they would end up investigating from ground zero, wasting precious time that could have been spent curing victims. All because they did not take the words of the one who defeated the dragon into account and disregarded her. He added that they had the nerve to eliminate people, indirectly it may be, without proper trial, not to mention innocent people. This is a ground for severe punishment and all officials involved in this mess will be served.
Orter had all the people who were officials at that time detained and sent to the capital for further questioning. He had also written to the captain of Magic Security Forces, Ryoh Grantz, about the investigation and an influx of detainees coming to the capital. He was contemplating if he should write to the head of the Magical Cemetary Administration, Renatus Revol, to prepare the cemetery for an influx of dead corpses due to mass execution.
He did not forget to send an order to detain the former head of his administration whose currently enjoying his retirement in the capital.
After an entire day of dealing with the investigation, the brothers decided to return to Ursla one last time before heading back to the capital. (They shouldn't be leaving 008 behind cause he's in Ursla) When they arrived, both 008 and the lady prepared dinner for them. They were actually surprised and asked her why since she mentioned on their first day in the village that she would not be treating them as guests and would not provide them with anything.
She answered that she knew they went to town to investigate the matter from 7 years ago. They confirmed it and told her what transpired a few hours ago.
She had a feeling that that's what they were going to do because that morning, when they left the village, they had this weird look on their faces. Wirth commented that she shouldn't be telling people that they had weird look on their faces.
She added that even though it was too late since the villages had died a long time ago, she still wanted to thank them for what they had done, for helping her get justice for the villagers, and for listening to her and believing her when no one else did.
She also apologized for her hostile behavior and that she had nothing to offer as thanks, so she decided to cook for them and hoped that they would be fine with it.
Wirth said after a long day in that town, a nice meal was the best thing she could offer. He thanked her for the meal.
Orter didn't say anything and went directly to the table to have his meal. Wirth was mad at his brother because he could at least say thanks first.
While having dinner, Wirth asked if the lady was going to stay in Ursla. She planned on staying in the village for the rest of her life and said that it was her way of atoning for her sins of leaving everyone behind while they were suffering. 008 told her that she shouldn't be blaming herself for something that wasn't her fault, but the lady just gave him a sad smile.
Orter woke up in the middle of the night and decided to go outside for a walk. He passed by the graveyard and saw the lady praying. Orter approached her and stayed standing next to her while she prayed. After she was done, she stood up and looked at Orter. Orter returned the gesture and looked at her. After a minute or two of awkwardly looking at each other (with the cicadas making sounds and the winds blowing), Orter finally broke the silence by telling her that ever since the day they first saw each other, she kept staring straight into his eyes. He was wondering if they had met somewhere before.
The lady told him he shouldn't say things like that to a lady as it would make them embarrassed. He asked if she was, but she answered no and didn't mind if Orter would be blunt to her. She apologized for staring at him.
Orter said he is used to people looking at his eyes because of how they look. The lady told him that his eyes leave a long-lasting impression.
When asked why she was in this place at this hour, she answered that she had a terrible nightmare, and whenever that happened, she would come to the graveyard to calm herself.
Orter remembered the old lady on the outskirts of the village and asked if she knew some granny from nearby villages. She said she never had the chance to talk to anyone outside of the village except when she decided to go to town with the sick girl.
He wanted to confirm if she really wanted to stay in the village (the granny asked him to bring the lady with him) and she confirmed that she wanted to stay.
She started walking back to her house and Orter walked by her side. They walked in silence, listening to the sound of nature and enjoying the view of the village. When they arrived at her house, she bid Orter goodnight. He nodded and watched as she entered her house.
A memory suddenly crossed his mind. It was one of those days he spent with Alex. He was trying to coerce Orter to try out something that Orter found ridiculous and a waste of his time. He refused at first but then Alex teased him that Orter was afraid of showing off his "weak powers", so Orter decided to take the challenge, begrudgingly.
Back to the present, Orter was staring at the closed door of her house. He was contemplating about what he saw that day together with Alex.
PREVIOUS NEXT CHAPTER
-----------------------------------------------
Chapter 5 is done. I have transferred almost all of my written drafts in here and just waiting for it to be posted (scheduled). I made a lot of changes to the story, like the mention of Ryoh and Renatus. The memories of Alex's last words during the interrogation were not part of the original draft, but I ended up adding it.
Also, Orter's timeline in the canon is confusing. I dunno at what age did he become a Divine Visionary. And there was that canon convo about Domina killing the Divine Visionary after Orter and before Rayne. Based on age, Tsurara should be the next visionary after Orter, but with how that sentence was constructed, it seems that Tsurara became a visionary before Orter (or I may just be too dumb to understand it). And maybe the police academy was like a university version of that world and Orter became a visionary in his twenties after the academy got incorporated with Easton. If I remember correctly, someone mentioned that Alex died when he was 21 in canon. I am also not sure if Alex was older than Orter or younger or the same age. He calls him senpai but also sees him as his bro. I dunno. I'm confused.
But for the sake of this story, I'll have Orter become a visionary when he was 18. Alex died when Orter was 17. Alex and Orter were the same age (with Alex born months ahead before Orter and transferred to Magic Polic Academy a few months after the school year started so him calling Orter senpai makes a tiny bit of sense.
The lady was around 15 when she went to fight the dragon and returned to Ursla at 16. The year she returned to Ursla was the same year Alex died.

The men continued to investigate inside Ursla and were able to uncover new information about the village.
CHAPTER 3 - A Lonely Person
They only spotted the lady three more times during the two days they stayed in the village.
The first one was when she was planting vegetables. The second was when she was cleaning the houses. They tried talking to her but were ignored completely.
The third time was when she was cleaning the tombstones on the west end of the village. They suspect most of those were the graves of the people who died 7 years ago because the tombstones didn't look old.
Wirth decided to approach her while Orter was standing not too far away with 008.
Wirth tried to start a conversation with her. He asked why she was cleaning the graves of the people she said she may have killed. (really Wirth...nice conversation starter you have there!)
She answered that they deserve proper, clean graves, even if they are considered a bunch of pariahs. Wirth told her she doesn't seem to think of them that way. The lady said that it was because they were good people and should have lived longer. That they were the ones who deserve to live.
In a very low voice, she added that if there was a spell that could resurrect the dead, she would search for it and use it to resurrect the people of Ursla, even if she needed to give up her life in exchange. She said it in an absentmindedly way like she was talking to herself instead of Wirth.
Wirth realized that the lady was innocent. Orter, who was listening attentively at the back, had the same conclusion, too. But they still needed to know the truth about the plague, and only the witch could answer it. They left her alone and called it a day.
On the third day, they realized it was the 16th of the month. Orter remembered a report about a ghost in white dancing in the village square on the evening of the 16th day of every month. So Wirth and 008 went to check for any kind of information they could get about the 16th.
After rummaging through some stuff (both Wirth and 008 felt uncomfortable looking into dead people's things), they found out that the villagers usually gathered around the village square on the 16th for a small celebration. They call it "Nihara". During Nihara, people celebrate the good harvest during the month, pray for the protection and good health of the villagers, perform a simple ritual to protect the villagers from harm, and pray for the departed loved ones. The theme of the Nihara changes every month, depending on the season. The last Nihara recorded was around 8 years ago. They suspect that it must be because of the plague and people had started dying at that time.
On the night of the Nihara, the three men stayed on the roof near the village square to see if the "ghost" would appear. 008 commented that they could actually just stay downstairs near the square. The "ghost" would just spot them anyway. Wirth said the view is better from the top. Orter remained silent throughout the conversation.
They saw the lady dressed in a simple white dress with a flower crown on her head heading to the square. When she reached there, she started dancing and singing. She actually noticed them but did not heed them any mind.
She was singing a song in an old language. The song was about the moon goddess that gives blessings of eternal happiness to everyone.
The men seemed to be so engrossed by her performance. It was like looking at the moon goddess herself dancing.
The lady danced for roughly 3 hours before she concluded her performance. Both Wirth and 008 clapped while Orter was just looking at her. It was like he realized something else about the lady. Wirth noticed it and was trying to distract him from staring way too much even after the performance ended. It took him a minute to finally get Orter's attention. Orter just stared at Wirth and stood up. The younger brother was a bit pissed with Orter's reaction if you call that a reaction, but then his brother is always a weirdo and a socially inept one so he let it slide.
They went down to the square so they could talk to the lady who was now sitting on the edge of a small fountain. The lady seemed lost in her thoughts before noticing them approaching her.
008 pulled out the picture they found in one of the houses (the one with the villagers, the single-liner, and the young lady). The lady stared at the picture and suddenly tears started flowing in her eyes. She looked incredibly sad and it made 008 feel horrible. He apologized profusely to the lady for taking the picture without permission and for being too insensitive while Wirth scolded him for making a lady cry and Ryoh Grantz will be very disappointed in him.
The lady told 008 that he need not apologize. Instead, she apologized for getting emotional all of a sudden. She then proceeded to scold the men about being awake at that hour and people should get 8 or more hours of sleep so they could do their jobs well. Wirth commented on her talking like a mom and that he is normally awake till the early hours of the next day due to studying/reading/working. 008 said he is normally awake at this hour due to work as well. She then called them work zombies.
Wirth asked why she still does the Nihara. She wanted to continue the tradition even if she was the only one to celebrate it. She wants to remember the days when everyone was still alive, trying to live their lives normally, reminiscing the happy memories of her childhood when everyone that she loved was still alive. If one day, non-magic users end up living in Ursla, she wants to be able to continue the tradition that the old villagers left behind. She hopes that Ursla will become a safe haven for non-magic people in the future.
However, Wirth frankly told her that with her reputation and the rumors about this village, he doubts any non-magic people would want to live, much less step foot in the village. He added that she was very rude to them when they first came to the village so it will put off any potential residents.
The lady teased him for not getting over the fact that he lost to her the other day, with Wirth retorting that the fight was not over at that time because Orter meddled.
She then confessed that she let the rumors be because deep down, she wanted to just be left alone and die alone in the village. She wanted to cherish the memories she had with everyone, hence why she kept maintaining the houses.
The men felt like it was the best time to ask about the event that occurred 7 years ago as she was starting to open up a bit. Both Wirth and 008 were looking at Orter since he hadn't spoken yet, hoping he would use his mouth for the love of God cause both of them were tired of talking on his behalf.

Orter Madl HC part 2
parts 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 here
It's time for the men to meet the rumored witch.
CHAPTER 2 - Meeting the Witch
The group went to Ursla to search for the rumored witch. They went their separate ways when they entered the village to investigate. Orter noted that the village doesn't look abandoned at all. 008 went inside some of the houses near the entrance of the village. Wirth went farther into Ursla.
While strolling around, Wirth heard sounds of something hitting. It was coming from the far end of the village. He followed the sound and ended up in front of a warehouse on the village boundary.
He noticed that the sound was coming from the rooftop. So using his magic, he levitated himself upward.
He noticed a lady wearing a long blue and white, long-sleeved dress fixing a damaged part of the roof with a hammer. The lady took notice of Wirth and looked in his direction. She looked surprised as she stared at Wirth, probably because she did not expect anyone else lurking in the village.
She asked Wirth who is he and what is he doing in the village. Wirth just answered her with his name and that they were looking for the witch of Ursla. The lady told him that he should leave the village now and that the village doesn't accept visitors.
Wirth refused because he had spent so many days traveling to this part of the country only to be shooed away. The lady did not like the answer and became angry, releasing a menacing aura and declaring that anyone who dared enter the village would perish by her hands.
It might be because he's used to it, he just realized that the lady has two lines on her face. He thought this village was only occupied by non-magic people, so why is there a double-liner living in the village. Not to mention, he wondered if the lady was the one the old granny in the outskirts mentioned as the living survivor from 7 years ago.
The lady told Wirth that she loathes magic users like him. He retorted that she is a magic user herself. He was on guard with his wand up, noting that the lady in front of him has a very strong magic aura.
Orter felt the aura from the entrance of the village and rushed to the scene. 008 also went to the source of the menacing aura.
When they both arrived, they saw Wirth and the lady casting spells against each other.
Orter noticed that the lady had a huge amount of magic powers and was stronger than his brother and Wirth would not stand a chance against her.
Wirth was on the verge of releasing his secondth (he can now release this spell without the drug, but sometimes it is inconsistent). However, the lady performed a strange, powerful spell that knocked him a few feet away from his original position. When she cast her next spell, Orter came in defense of his brother and blocked her attack with his sand.
The lady seemed surprised as she stared at Orter. But regained her composure when he asked her if she was the witch of Ursla. She confirmed that outsiders seem to call her that, and she doesn't care at all since people left her alone because of the rumor accompanied by that name.
Orter asked again if she was a survivor of the disease that plagued the village 7 years ago and if she had something to do with the death of the villagers. He also added the fact that the village was once occupied by non-magic users so it was kinda surprising to know that there is a magic user among them.
The lady was visibly pissed with all the questions and told Orter that it is none of his business. She confirmed that the previous occupants of the village were non-magic users abandoned by society, and shunned by people like him, so he shouldn't be caring about those dead people.
Orter told her that he came to the village to investigate the event that occurred 7 years ago that claimed the lives of the villagers and learn the real cause of their deaths. Even if they were non-magic users and are already dead, it is still worth investigating. He also mentioned that he wants to investigate the witch of Ursla and her connection to their deaths.
The lady asked Orter if she'd be executed if she said she killed the villagers. He answered that it would depend on the investigation, but right now she will be considered a person of interest. If she was innocent, she'd be left alone. If not, then she will be executed. Even if the victims are non-magic users, killing innocent people regardless of their status is against the law.
The lady laughed at this and stated that she's fine with both outcomes. If proven innocent, she can stay in the village till her death, if not then she can be with "them" again.
Orter asked who are "they", but she only said it was none of his business and that she may have killed the villagers back then.
The lady told them they could stay in the village for the investigation, but she would not be treating them with hospitality and would not be providing them with anything. That they will be on their own and not to disturb her. She went back to the warehouse and continued on fixing the roof.
Orter wasted no time and continued to investigate the village with Wirth and 008. He actually wanted to press the lady for further details, but because of how hostile she is towards them, he decided against it and will catch her off guard next time.
They went inside one of the houses near the middle of the village. Both Wirth and Orter were surprised to see how well-kept the inside of the house is, like it was not an abandoned house at all. 008 told them it's the same as the other houses in the village.
Wirth wondered if the lady from earlier was the one maintaining the houses and if she was trying to hide some evidence. He was still kinda bitter about the fact that another person defeated him and that his big bro had to step in to protect him.
Orter just shrugged and went to the next house.
In one of the houses, they saw a photo on the shelf of a group of people. Most of them didn't have lines except for two people. The first one was a male probably in his early forties with a single line on his face. The second one was a very young double-liner girl who looked like a young version of the lady in the village.
They wondered if the man was also a resident of the town and was a relative of the young girl. But one thing is for sure, the lady is the girl in that picture and the survivor of the plague.
They were able to uncover one of their questions, but they also got more questions.

So that's the end of Chapter 2. To be honest, I have already written (on paper/during work) almost half of this story. But I ended up editing some parts while typing it on the drafts. Hopefully, I'll be able to put all the parts I've written so far in here.
A big thank you to the people who took time to read this. '3

Orter Madl HC
Currently into Mashle and I fell in love with almost all the characters. Some Mashle HC ideas came into mind recently. I wanted to make this into a proper fanfic and post this on Archives but it's tiring to do it (I'm lazy and busy) and my English is not good so I'm just dumping my idea here.
I'll have my HC/fanfic story about one of my biases, Orter Madl. Some characters will appear here. This happened post-war against Innocent Zero.
CHAPTER 1 - The Legend of the Witch of Ursla
After the war, the Bureau of Magic was very busy restoring the capital. It took almost a year before everything went back to normal.
During that time, the Magical Power Administration was especially busy. They are trying to hunt down criminals and magic users connected to Innocent Zero.
Orter Madl, the current head of the Magical Power Administration, was reading through case files from before he became the head of the department.
Reports of ALL cases from other provinces dating back 15 years were sent to the office per his instructions and were thoroughly reviewed by Orter himself. He looked calm and composed on the outside, but was cursing the heavens on the inside. He knew the former administration was incompetent, but he didn't expect them to be SO incompetent. A lot of reports are missing important information, records of provincial court hearings that looked suspicious, and so much more.
He was also appalled by the number of case files that were not submitted to the central office. Officers assigned in big towns (aside from the capital) are tasked to submit reports of big and relevant cases to the capital. It was part of the protocol. But it seems like no one from the provinces followed this protocol before he came to office.
He regretted not doing it sooner. And cursed himself for it.
Orter noticed a case file about the "Witch of Ursla." The information on the file sounded like a local legend told to kids so they wouldn't do bad things. It was about a lone witch in a deserted town. He only ever heard of Ursla from the Geography class when he was still in the Police Academy.
He began his research about the village and found out that it was once inhabited by non-magic users. Unfortunately, around 7 years ago, it became a ghost town. According to the report from a big town near Ursla, the people from the village suffered from a contagious disease and died. Thus, no one inhabited Ursla after that because of it and the other rumors surrounding the village.
Rumors include hearing cries of the villagers at night and the appearance of a ghost in white dancing in the square every 16th of the month. Not to mention, because the village was once inhabited by non-magic users, no one bothered to know the real cause of their deaths.
The one that struck Orter the most in the report is about the Witch. One of the reports suspects that the so-called "Witch of Ursla" is a ghost apparition that had killed the villagers and has been luring people to kill more. So everyone left the village alone.
Orter was not amused that this report was not submitted to his office at the time he was appointed as the head of the Magical Power Administration. He had specifically ordered at that time that all big active cases (potentially harmful ones as well) should be reported back to the capital. In his perspective, this case is not only a big active one but also a potentially serious event that may jeopardize the safety of the neighboring towns and villages.
He is now determined to rip the scalp of the officers in charge of that village, even if it means going to the village himself. So, he immediately informed his staff that he would be away to investigate a certain report for a while. He asked 008 to accompany him as well.
Even though 008 is no longer his servant, 008 is still working as Orter's subordinate in the department. 008 happily agreed to accompany Orter.
He also needed someone from the research department, so he asked Tsurara if she could lend him one of her subordinates. And of course, the Ice Cane took this as an opportunity to let a certain younger brother bond with his estranged older brother. So she ordered Wirth to accompany Orter. Wirth was not so pleased with it, but he couldn't say no to his boss. Also, Abyss and Rayne who were present at that time encouraged (forced?) him to go with Orter. He ended up coming.
After a few days of journey (because instead of just using their broomstick, Orter decided to use the carriage so he could spend more time with Wirth. This dude, even though this is a work trip. But he also did not talk to his brother during the trip, just sitting reading work stuff - how in the world is that "spend more time"!?), the group reached a big town near Ursla where the local officials in charge of that province, including Ursla, is stationed. While Orter was rampaging with his very calm and composed, but intimidating voice, Wirth and 008 were asking some townspeople about Ursla. Some people believed the story of the ghost, and some thought that the people of Ursla were cursed to death and anyone who dared come to the village would be cursed as well. Others think that the departed people of the village were the ones who put a curse on Ursla because they were abandoned when they needed help the most.
After Orter was done with his calm rampage, the two reported back to him what they had heard from the townsfolk. They decided to head to Ursla.
As they were nearing the village, they saw an old lady tending to her plants. Orter asked Wirth if he could ask the old lady about Ursla, but Wirth refused, saying that it was Orter's job to investigate.
Orter approached the old lady and asked her about the village. He also asked about the witch and the rumors as well. The old lady thinks that the rumors are ridiculous and exaggerated. She said that she felt very sad for the people of Ursla, especially for the only person living in the village at the moment. The old lady said that the "witch" and the "ghost" might be referring to the young lady from Ursla. This person was the only one who survived the plague. Her entire family, together with the villagers died 7 years ago. The old lady hoped that she would leave Ursla because it must have been very lonely living in that village on her own. But the young lady refused and stayed. She asked Orter if he could bring her with him and that the "witch" was actually a kind young lady, however, because of what happened to Ursla, she became distrustful of others, especially magic users and people in positions. Well, Orter is both a magic user and someone who holds an important position in the bureau, so he doesn't think he could convince her, but he didn't say it out loud. He just said "I see" and proceeded to the village together with Wirth and 008. (Hey at least say thanks!!!)

It's confirmed (if the translation is accurate and if that image is really fire) that AFO has a fire quirk (probably stolen). I'm wondering if we are now closer to an DFO reveal.
My HC is that AFO and Hisashi knew each other and not the DFO one. But I don't mind the papa villain thing becoming canon. 😙

I absolutely am in love with this guy 💗. We've got tons of similarities, not to mention we're both born on the same year 😽. He was one of the reasons why I got out of my depression ❤️💟😺 . I can say his smile saved me. (cliche right? but it's true) Though, I so love Daiki's serious side. 🥰😍
I am very happy when he debuted as a music artist. 🥰😍 Among all the seiyuus that I followed, he has the most amazing voice and I was praying real hard to see his debut, and it came true. 😘🥳
I hope I could meet him and get his autograph one day. ☺️🤩
