AoS Rewatch: First Week! + 6th Anniversary!!!

It’s finally here!!! The start of the #aosrewatch :D. So excited!!!!! 

It’s also the 6th anniversary of the premiere of Agents of SHIELD!!!!! I can’t believe it’s been SIX YEARS already!!!! Let’s all give a BIG CHEERS to this AMAZING SHOW :D HAPPY BIRTHDAY AoS!!!

This week we’ll be watching:

As already mentioned in the general post, there is no schedule during this week how you watch these episodes. You can find the schedule for the entirety of Season 1 here.

Sky(e)’s the limit in how you can contribute to the rewatch. Be it fanart, fanfiction, live blogs, metas, etc. etc. :D Remember that the tags are: #aosrewatch and #aosrewatchS1.

Also a reminder for those that may not feel up to create anything, not only can you participate by cheering the others on and reblogging their awesome creations but also in reblogging old posts! Go back through your archives to the day(s) when you first started blogging about AoS and re-reblog posts (especially from the first 5 episodes ;)).

BIG shoutout to the AMAZING @lilsciencequeen for setting up this rewatch with me (and more often than not doing the heavy lifting in organizing it!!!!!) and to the equally AMAZING @bunnykaye for creating all the incredible gifs for our posts :D.

Let’s get this started :D I can’t wait to see all the AMAZING stuff everyone will come up with and to share the excitement in rewatching this amazing show together with all of you :D :D :D

With less than a week to go until the 24th of September.

24th September - 30th September : Episodes 1.01. 1.02. 1.03, 1.04. 1.05

1st October - 7th October : Episodes 1.06, 1.07, 1.08, 1.09, 1.10

8th October - 14th October : Episodes 1.11, 1.12, 1.13 (Canadian Thanksgiving)

15th October - 21st October : Episodes 1.14, 1.15, 1.16

22nd October - 28th October : Episodes 1.17, 1.18, 1.19 1.20

29th October - 4th November : Episodes 1.21, 1.22, 2.01, 2,02, 2.03

Hello everyone :D

In less than two weeks the Agents of SHIELD rewatch will start! So excited already! A very very big thank you to the AMAZING @bunnykaye​ for creating that amazing header :D, YOU ROCK!

Here are some infos so everyone knows how it’s going to go down.

@lilsciencequeen, my amazing partner-in-crime for the rewatch already mentioned most of them in this post. This is just a bit more additional and more definitive information to get everyone up to speed ;)

-      We start on Tuesday the 24thSeptember, the 6thanniversary of the pilot :D.

-      During the first week we plan on watching episodes 1x01 – 1x05 and it’s totally up to you how you schedule watching them during that week.

-      Since most people asked for a maximum of 4 episodes a week, we’ll try to stick to that as often as possible but sometimes there will be 5 (especially until Christmas) because otherwise we won’t be able to finish all 6 seasons until May 2020 (when Season 7 will probably start airing).

-      There will be breaks during US Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years (this one will be a big break of about a month) and Easter since those are the breaks most people asked for. For those that don’t want or need to take a break during those weeks, this is a great time to catch up if you need to!

-      If a weekly schedule is not for you, fret not you can still participate! Our rough plan is to finish S1-2 before Christmas, and S3-5 before Easter and S6 until May. But even if you binge it in one go (and if you do, kudos to you!!!), please feel free to use the tag ;). The schedule is very good for a communal viewing experience like many of us have that watch the eps live or during the weeks they came out.  

-      The main tag will be #aosrewatch. For each season we’ll also have a separate tag, i.e. #aosrewatchS1, #aosrewatchS2 additionally.

-      We’ll post the schedule for the respective weeks every Tuesday.

-      We’ll also try to make a masterpost each week for the content that was created during that week. But already an apology in advance if we forget a post (and if that happens, which we don’t hope, please give us a quick heads up + the link via DM or replies and we’ll add it ASAP!) or if we can’t make it every Tuesday to make one, both @lilsciencequeen and I have rather tight schedules. If that happens, you can always check out the tags of course ;)

-      The content you create is totally up to you. Gifsets, fotosets, edits, manips, fanfic, fanart, metas, your thoughts while watching the ep and/or live-blogs, etc. etc. Sky(e)’s the limit ;). I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with :D.

-      Additionally to creating content we also thought it would be a nice idea if everyone would go through the archives of their blogs and reblog old posts that concern the episodes they are watching at the moment. Like that, old posts that haven’t been on our dashes for ages will get a revival :D. It will also be a nice way to celebrate all the fandom content that has been created the past 6+ years!

- As soon as the Earth vs Space contest starts (October 14th!), the content created for the rewatch can also be a part of that. You can sign up for the EvS contest HERE. You don’t have to participate to take part in the rewatch but it would be a nice thing to celebrate the show and fandom even further, so it would be really cool if as many as possible sign up :D Sign ups are until 23th September!

Thank you so much to all the people that participated in the poll, that info helped us a lot :D. I can’t wait for this to start and I hope many will participate :D I’m sure we’ll have lots of fun. And probably also shed a tear or two and get VERY nostalgic!

AOS Re-Watch

The results for the re-watch that me and @fitzsimmonsavengers have planned are finally here and they are as follows:

Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who participated, we received 81 responses overall, which was many more than either of us were expecting. Using the answers that you gave, we have been able to plan the re-watch.  And because who doesn’t love a good graph, I present the results!!!

100% of you wanted the re-watch, and honestly, thank you so much because, without you all, this would never be possible!

We got a wide variety of responses for this and for the majority of the weeks, 4 episodes shall be the way. HOWEVER, some weeks have five, and there are several reasons for this.

Timing. This was our main issue as we wanted to be finished before the beginning of May (and have the first 2 seasons re-watched before the end of the year), so to make everything work, some weeks will focus on five episodes.

Pods and finale. We thought that it was best we don’t leave anyone hanging for certain episodes, and we wanted to finish s2 before the new year so we had to do 5 a week occasionally. 

Overall, 4 episodes will be the focus, and you can watch all four in one evening, two in an evening, or one a day. We have no set days or times for each episode to watch, and if you fall behind, worry not as there are weeks when there are no eps that will be focused on, so there’s plenty of time for you to catch up!  

I also want to shout out the person who said they could do 18 a week! That is dedication!

This might be the one that you’re most excited for! With the results, the start date is now confirmed to be 24th September, six years after the season 1 premiere! Yep, we are going back to the start people! With it being such an important date, it felt fitting to offer this choice, and I am so glad so many of you agree.

The next set of questions confirmed that people liked the idea of everything we offered in terms of celebrating the episode, and more, as well as breaks throughout the re-watch so in the next section, how it will be done will be broken down.

How it will work?

Each week we’ll post which episodes will be watched and celebrated e.g. 24th Sept to the 30th Sept will be episodes 1-4, 1st Oct to 7th Oct will be 5-9. And during that week period, you can do whatever you want to celebrate those eps. Write throwback fics, make gifs and fanart, write your thoughts and feelings and point out what you missed the first time around! Or if you don’t have the time or energy to create anything, you can go back through your blog and reblog old gifs/fics/fanart, etc that you were reblogging while you were watching these episodes. 

Celebrate the episode and share the love whichever way works for you best. Each season will have a tag e.g. #aos rewatch s1 ect as well as the general tag #aos rewatch. Use those in the first 4-6 tags and we’ll help share the love but what we need is your help. 

Share gifs and fic, communicate with others about what you love in the ep because we can’t spreading the love and helping to celebrate the show and everything about it without you!

Breaks will occur during US Thanksgiving, the Christmas and New Year period, and Easter as they were the most requested, so if you fall behind at any point you have time to catch up! And we’ll be letting you know the dates for the episodes on a season and weekly basis!

Agents of SHIELD rewatch

Hello AoS fandom :D 

@lilsciencequeen and I were thinking that with this being our last hiatus we should do a fandom wide rewatch of the entire series.

  To get an idea how many want to participate and how we should best organize the rewatch we created a little survey to get a feeling how everybody would like to do the rewatch.

We’ll let the survey run for at least 1-2 weeks, maybe until the end of August and soon after we’ll let you know how we’d like to organize the rewatch.

  The rewatch will be held under the #aosrewatch tag, huge thanks to @ughfitz for letting us use the tag :D. 

I also talked with @ughfitz about the rewatch being part of the Engineering vs Biochem event and it’s a good possibility that a huge chunk of the rewatch can also be part of that :D
