when I was with my ex I used to always tell him I would follow him to the ends of the earth. when my mental health took a decline I knew I needed to get better, and I did. I learned to take care of myself first. I learned self love and care.
the last time I told my ex I would follow him to the ends of the earth, he said that he knew that wasn’t true. I told him, “I would still follow you, just not if it kills me.”
he looked so upset, like I broke his heart. and all I could think was why would someone who loves me want me to die for them? and I still wonder that.

You know, I started listing the traumas I’ve experienced in life to show that I deserve to say my peace in response to what you’ve said to me. I came to realize I don’t have to prove anything. You were incredibly invalidating. You don’t know me or anything that I have gone through. Learn some empathy, and please don’t assume anything about anyone because you certainly look foolish. BTW Sam, I’m 100% Filipino.
