6 PROBLEMS EVERY PRINCIPAL DESIGNER FACES AND HOW TO SOLVE THEM
The principal designer and his team are always hard at work, managing multiple projects, and in turn, managing multiple tasks under each of those projects. There’s of course, a lot of back and forth, and the work needs to be assigned to different team members, executed with rigor and precision, and then delivered on time. And in the midst of all this, principal designers take some problems for granted, as a part of their work life.

Why branding is important?
When a brand’s values and promises are compelling, people buy its products or services i.e. they believe in the brand’s values and promises. Notably, a brand’s values and promises are more important than ever before because, as leading businesses know, there is little else differentiating their products and services from competitors’. Plus they know the tricks of building their brand.
Even when many professionals and design firms are very creative, they struggle because they lack the knowledge and skills to get their brand recognised. This is why they get lost amongst a sea of competitors, always struggling to get new business.

Inspiration and components from great brands and how to apply them
A design firm that is a recognised brand has an edge over competitors. This is because such a firm has a persona that is broader than that of a design firm. A design firm’s brand should evoke in project owners subtle and positive emotions. These emotions make the design firm more than it was before it became a recognised brand. Needless to say, when a design firm’s brand produces positive emotions among project owners, the firm’s services are in greater demand.

What is branding?
Branding is people’s perception about you and your business. Every human being and business is a brand. Whether a brand is good or bad, recognised or unrecognised, depends on how perception about it has been created in other’s minds. Those who create the right perception about themselves and their businesses are more successful than others. A brand is more than its logo. The name of a person or firm, the work they do, their expertise, culture, ethics, the value of promises they have made, their differentiators, market they serve, their recognitions, and more, count toward building a brand.
