"For some who no longer has Archdruid responsibilities, you seem mighty busy lately," Evy coos playfully as she leans against the head of their bed, eyes alight with mischief as her gaze follows Andreas as he moves around the room. She knows, without a shadow of doubt, that he is up to something. She is very sure of what that something it's too, the tabs on his phone looking for jewelers and the sneakiness adding together with their conversation right before the war had begun.

God, my dad is probably freaking out right now. Either that or he's probably saying, "I told you so," 'cause he has, like, this whole theory about the winds being cursed or, like, I don't know, making people act out of character. I mean, you did ask me on a date. That's pretty uncharacteristic. Yeah. And, no, my dad doesn't mean, like, uncharacteristic in a good way. He means people acting crazy, like, super depressed or kind of like seeing things that aren't there.

"It's been a busy couple of months so I haven't exactly had time to go out." It's less of an excuse than it could be, but it's true nonetheless. It's been a busy couple of months for everybody, but with the tensions on the pyramid and the war brewing, Evy had focused on her job and on training the new acolytes and had altogether forgotten to take a lot of free time for herself. Now that she has the support of her fellow Keepers and Senators, she has begun to be able to delegate more, but she is still busier than she was before returning to Rome. "Yes, of course, I couldn't cheap out on buying you a drink," she gasps exaggeratedly, putting a hand over her chest as she smiled at the banshee. "Now, between the two of us you are the rockstar, I am just an understudy. Or worse, a politician."

"I DJ every night at the Embassy. You can always just come there, Evy." She merely shook her head at her dear friend because, well, she felt that was common knowledge now. Paloma really did nothing but make music at all points in her day. She worked at a record shop, she DJ-ed at a gay club. Everything she did seemed to circle around her being a DJ. Then again, when she really thought about it, she hadn't headlined a show in a very long time. That was just a normal occurrence to not show her face for some time after she did one though. People would start to wonder why she wasn't aging and it would just be a whole mess of a situation. Paloma, the unaging DJ. That would be one hell of a mystery to unpack though. Maybe she'd think that over. With a gasp, she grabbed the clearly obvious cup of hot apple cider from Evy. "Shut up! Is this from the market? You're an angel. No, even better than an angel, a rockstar."

"Our kind has long memories, which sometimes is more trouble than help." They are a dying race, only a handful survivors from the attack last February, and with a number of Octavian's acolytes presenting themselves despite his exile. Only one Archdruid can make more druids, and it is the one that has been all but kicked out. Whether they like it or not, their species is in danger, and they need to ensure they change enough to survive what is coming. Complacency in moments like this will kill them. "And I want to ensure that we do change, and for the better."

"Not much has changed since I'd last been here," he'd been invited by Dionaeia, and now this Keeper, as though the Pyramid was a sacred place to revere for their kind. Where once he was a golden child, inspired and amazed by the knowledge and sights within, it was the same place which crushed and embittered him. "Which says a lot considering how long it's been," not much of a jovial talker Nicolas was; he'd never been pleasant company since he'd been unbound. "Thanks, I guess."

"Yeah, I figured he would have his fun kicking and beating people into shape with Dionaeia instead," Evy admits with a such as she closes her eyes and rubs them to get rid of the heaviness on her eyes. Maybe it had been a bad idea to prompt the modernization of the archives, but it would be much more convenient to have access to a summary of each document online and have a database of where they were held, at the very least. "That works. Maybe we can rope in Safiye and it will go faster. I think she knows enough about technology to help too," she muses as she opens her eyes and sends her fellow Keeper a worried look before focusing back on her work. "How are the classes going? I know you have a couple of troublesome acolytes on them."

"Eren isn't going to touch a computer with a 10 foot pole," she muttered, sinking into the hand her chin rested on. Esme adored her brother but he wasn't about to deal with their modern technology. His little sister, on the other hand, had made the online world part of her career as it made it so much easier to reach out to the world. "I'm a fast typer. I can do at least a third of it..." Esme had taken a hiatus from social media and photography, only working on only one small article for the environmental journal she wrote with. "I'm not doing much of anything else." A small sigh. "The only thing is the Alban Arthan ceremony on Saturday with the acolytes and canidae anatomy lessons on Thursdays. Aren already promised to summon some coyotes for me."

"Cold enough to get sick enough for it to matter," she deadpans. Last year had been fairly cold, but this one? It had hit the subzero temperature's as soon as winter did. Likely to do with the new power given to the former fey-now high elf courts. It is unnatural, to see winter sweep through the warmer climate, but after everything, she guesses the Lunar Court should get to have some fun as well. Hopefully the winter storm ends one and for all soon, though. A laugh bursts from her lips as she shrugs. "Fucking, making love, going on dates, pretending I didn't see the fucking ring on his room. Yeah. Did you think otherwise?"

"We live in Italy how fucking cold do you think it's going to be?" There was definitely a chill in the air but Alek remained as crass and stubborn as ever. He lit his smoke then laid back, folding his arms in the process as he did. It's not like he was cold now, maybe Evy had a point, maybe she didn't. Alek wasn't sure he cared, it was nice not caring about anything again. Liberating in a way, he could breathe easier and walk away faster. "You and Andreas fucking still?"

"I was referring more about dragging Ariston in to help. He is old enough to know not to mess with things above his weight class," she offers with a small laugh. She knows were Eren's skills lay, and after her chat with Esme she was extra sure that it wasn't with technology. Additionally, she thought it best to start bringing Octavian's acolyte into positions that show cased some degree of trust, and from them all, she trusted Ariston the most.

"No, it's your job, now. I thought we agreed I'd have nothing to do with paperwork." The records were fun, he'd looked through it to find himself. Over and over again. He enjoyed that. There was a really good spell of his he'd created a long time ago, and even now, he thought of the curse he'd trapped into a crystal. Magic transference, that's what they were good at. "

"Aside from his current exile? I don't have anything planned, but the Archdruids might have something in mind now that they are not in charge." She hasn't had time to touch base with Nettelia or Dionaeia, but she knows how much his brother's betrayal had affected Andreas, so she suspects this will not be the last they will hear from the conflict between siblings. "Octavian is family, too, so I hope that we can figure out how to welcome him back once tensions calm down— But, there is no denying that he was the reason we lost the war the first time around, and his selfishness cost us the world and everyone on it."

Fen hadn't done anything wrong, they were being punished for their proximity to Octavian and anyone could see it. They'd been made senator and deserved it, they were wold, well-informed, powerful, and had a unique insight that seemed invaluable to Atlas. That Fen and him were good friends was only part of why he was so annoyed. "I guess we'll see." How true Evy's words were would ultimately be tested. "What are your plans for Octavian?"
