That enlarged vision was complemented by a growing interest in “green” design, emphasizing the conservation of energy and other natural resources. As a result, architectural trends moved away from the design of single isolated buildings toward collaboration in the creation of clusters of buildings and park lands—and sometimes entire neighborhoods
