The Nature of Reality
"The connection between the Phatemis and the Vastor must not be understood as a mere Paraxis Interplanum. It is not a plane, not a gate that can be created to travel from here to there. Nor is it an event horizon one can pull open like a shutter. It is much more than that!"
He folded his hands, and the slightest shift in weight made the leather of the decades-old armchair creak. The stale air was thick with dust from all the collected disk-documents—thousands of tiny specks of light floated nearly weightlessly through the harsh glare of the window, which barely managed to illuminate the otherwise dark Topekumh ("gentleman's room").
"We must clearly speak here of a Perzeptor, a Transversal that comprehensively captures the informational construct of a person, transfers it into the Phatemis, and reinterprets it there - naturally under the laws that apply in that realm."
His counterpart nodded gently, while his eyes, driven by lively thoughts, darted from one corner of the ceiling to another.
"So a Patochui-tz'tikarru kutemheplin - a heavy "Vase" of Reality. A kind of vessel that holds together the otherwise fleeting, fluid essence of a person within the in-between space, to enable the leap of consciousness into the Phatemis. But of what fabric could this Vase of Reality be made, if the nature of the transition itself is wild and unstable? How can a pattern of order exist in this space of chaos?"
The student suddenly widened his eyes, and it burst out of him: "Gotikodohaleto! That is the proof you mentioned. That is the proof that the Arc must be in league with him, and it is the proof that the Creator himself has laid his hand upon the Orders! He is the higher order required to form this 'vase'!"
A proud, acknowledging smile crossed the teacher's face.
"Yes, that is the proof!"

After quite a while, I've finally managed to get myself to do a little drawing again, despite the high temperatures. So here we have a class/role concept for the Bulwark, the tank class in Arcpunk.
It might be a bit misleading, though. Bulwarks are tanks, but in Phatemis (where fights take place), basically anything can serve as a weapon or protection. Which is why tanks don't necessarily have to look like typical tanks.

What's ur opinion?
Question: What would u like to see from the Arcpunk cosmos? Characters, creatures, technology, something else? The world of Arcpunk is vast and full of detail, but what interests u most when it comes to worldbuilding projects?

As arcpunks, we fight bad motivations, not people!
Tumblr media
In Short: In Arcpunk, Arcpunks receive missions through mysterious hubs called Arcs, usually to rescue or support people in distress. They use a device called the Marphorion to enter a layer of reality known as Phatemis, where emotions and motivations manifest as creatures. Arcpunks fight negative manifestations to resolve conflicts without violence, leaving their opponents unharmed in the real world. Victory in Phatemis can alter the behavior of opponents - sometimes profoundly. In doing so, they manage to make a strong positive impact on many lives, even if only in small ways.

Resistentia
Tumblr media
Some might ask: "But why is the man wearing golden rings as jewelry? Isn’t that a contradiction in the fight against the rich?" The answer is: no. First, it’s not about opposing wealth or a certain degree of luxury entirely, but about distributing it so that everyone gets a share. Also, in the Arcpunk universe, gold is a relatively common metal. Actually, it’s among the more abundant ones, like aluminum or iron. However, it’s far less evenly distributed. Especially in the "Near"(cardinal direction) of Oneiros, it occurs quite frequently, and therefore doesn’t hold much material value there.

Finally, after months, I’ve finished the retopology for Namor, which means I was finally able to give her the characteristic skin pattern. Hopefully I’ll get through the other characters a bit faster. But the Texture is still WIP :D

The Akutao Huntress
Tumblr media
The Akutao are, after the P’kun, likely the most well-known culture of the Aloo. This is not only due to their relatively large population but also because of their distinct, culturally influenced appearance. The Akutao often paint their already heavily tattooed bodies, tend to dress very revealingly, and are seen as friendly, sometimes even naive. What many P’kun view as negative traits, however, often makes the Akutao more likable among other peoples, especially those who have suffered under P’kun dominance.
Here we see a huntress dressed in traditionally inspired attire alongside her companion, a Baz Akuenara Bakomi. “Inspired” because truly traditional “clothing” would mostly mean wearing nothing at all, something that would be considered offensive in most P’kun-influenced worlds. Like many other Akutao, she adapted to those rules.

The Aloo (One of Arcpunks sapient Species)
Left: Lapett (1. gen), Right: Lumina (2, Gen), Middle: Letoho (3. Gen)
The Aloo are the numerically largest and most widespread sapient species in the cosmos. Estimates suggest that nearly 50% of all sentient beings in known space belong to the Aloo. As such, they are not only a biological force, but also a cultural and political one, shaping much of cosmic civilization.
Biology
The Aloo belong to the Atin family, which also includes the Dulay, Kur, Gwond, Shugi, and Kzikka. Within this family, they form a subgroup with the Dulay known as the Sapient Atin (a somewhat misleading label, as the so-called Plump Atin, to which the other aforementioned species belong, are also fully sapient)
Like all Atin, the Aloo undergo three developmental phases: Labette, Lumina, and Letoho, with only the Letoho generation being fully sapient and socially integrated. In this third and final stage of metagenesis, Aloo differentiate into male and female sexes. Compared to other Atin species, sexual dimorphism in Aloo is moderate: males tend to be heavier and more muscular, while females are generally more agile and flexible. There is little to no significant size difference between them.
The average lifespan in the Letoho generation is around 80 years, while Labette and Lumina individuals usually live only 5 to 6 years. Letoho-Aloo reach sexual maturity around the age of 20. Their average height is 1u, which corresponds to about one meter in the metric system, remarkable considering their close relatives, the Dulay, often reach up to 2u in height, making them twice as tall.
The skin color of the Aloo ranges from gray-green to gray-blue. Interestingly, the base tone an Aloo is “born” with is not determined by parental genetics, but rather by the environment in which the Lumina-stage - from which the Letoho-generation Aloo hatches - is planted. The pH value of the soil determines the hue, while the temperature affects the brightness.
However, skin color is not a fixed trait: both hue and brightness can shift over time in response to changing climatic conditions or diet. As a result, an Aloo’s skin tone may offer clues about the climate they originate from, or perhaps even the region they were born in, but reveals nothing about their genetic lineage.
Society and Culture
Despite their relatively small stature, the Aloo were among the first species to assert cosmic dominance. A key driver of their expansion was the P’kun, a major Aloo cultural branch. The P’kun were the first to engage in large-scale interchunk colonization, which led to the marginalization, or in many cases, assimilation, of other cultures.
Although P’kun culture is today considered interspecific due to its many non-Aloo members, this status is only partly accurate: the overwhelming numerical majority of Aloo, coupled with their dominance in high-ranking positions, ensures that the culture remains largely aloonic in character.
Psychology and Politics
The Aloo are often said to possess an innate tendency toward egocentrism, coupled with a strong desire to share and display personal success. This psychological tension is deeply reflected in the political systems they have created, especially within P’kun society. It is marked by a hypercapitalist structure centered on competition, expansion, and the glorification of individual achievement (or the illusion thereof). These systems have been exported to vast regions of the cosmos, often by force.
Because of (or perhaps in spite of) their dominance, the Aloo remain an ambivalent symbol across the cosmos: admired for their inventiveness, yet reviled for their colonialist legacy, both past and ongoing.

The Hotilla, a wild herbivore and plains-dweller.
They live in small herds and use their long niol tekni to graze lumina. Their bodies are heavily front-loaded, which causes them to tuck their flexible heads backward between their front legs when running. This shifts their center of gravity to the rear, allowing for easier sprinting. It also gives them the unique ability to look forward with their two large primary eyes while simultaneously seeing behind them, between their legs, using their smaller frontal eyes.
