(Hold your tongue, Mischievous cat) Figaro SSR Card Story Translation
Tumblr media
Figaro's Secret Plan - Episode 1
Akira: (They did mention that it was a party for pet enthusiasts, but there really are all kinds of animals...)
Cats, dogs, birds, goats... Just looking at the range of species makes you feel like being in a zoo and it's so fun.
Figaro: Master sage. There you are.
Akira: Ah, Figaro.
I turned my eyes toward the voice and saw Figaro standing there with a dog.
Dog?: Woof!
Akira: Huh? Murr, did you turn into a dog?
Figaro: Hmm, half right?
Akira: Half?
Figaro: Murr did turn into an animal, but now he has Shino as his owner and is enjoying the party.
Figaro: This dog here is Cain who has been transformed by magic. Unlike Murr, he's a good boy, so it's really easy on the mind.
Figaro: Right, Kai?
Kai: Woof!
Figaro pets Cain's– no, Kai's head with the ease of a practiced hand.
Figaro: What do you think? Do we look like a dog loyal to its owner and an owner who cares for it?
Akira: Yes! You look like you both get along very well.
Akira: (weirdly enough, I don't often see Figaro with animals a lot, so it's a bit refreshing…)
Man with a squirrel: Wah! It ran that way!
Akira, Figaro: …. !
A sudden scream made me look around.
Then I spotted a rampaging monkey at the end of the venue.
The agitated monkey intimidated the people around it, and the crowd scattered in an instant.
Monkey: Screech!!!
Kai: Wo-woof?
Figaro: This is bad, it's reacting to Kai. Let's undo the spell right away.
Akira: Eh? Are you sure it's okay to use magic?
Figaro: No one will notice in a panic like this.
Figaro: 《Possideo》
Cain: Woof! ...Oops. I can talk now.
Cain: Where did the monkey go?
Cain has returned to his usual form and looks in the direction the monkey ran off to.
Woman with a lizard: Ahh! It jumped onto the chandelier!
Owner: Hey, Josephetine! It's dangerous, please come down!
Cain: Are you the owner of that monkey?
Owner: Ah, yeah. Why did it have to happen today? She's usually a quiet and cute lady.
Figaro: Oh, so she was a lady.
Cain: For a Lady… She sure was trying to provoke me.
Figaro: Haha. Maybe she was nervous being in an environment she's not used to.
Owner: Maybe so. It's her first time being surrounded by so many animals.
Monkey: Screech!
Owner: Aah, she's getting so agitated. What if she falls off the chandelier and gets hurt?
Figaro: You must be worried about Josephetine, too.
Saying this, Figaro pats the owner's back.
Owner: I'm sorry. I was so upset.
Figaro: It's okay. But if you keep going like this… The other owners and animals will get restless.
Figaro: Would you allow me to help you get her back?
Figaro's Secret Plan - Episode 2
Owner: Are you sure?
Figaro: Sure. I have reliable helpers with me too.
Figaro: Master sage, Cain, would you help me?
Akira: Of course!
Cain: No need to ask.
Owner: Thank you! you're a life savior.
Figaro: Well then, let's get started...
Figaro beckons Cain and me over, calling us closer. Seems like we will be discussing the strategy in secret.
Figaro: Let's get the monkey off the chandelier for now.
Figaro: And also, Cain. I think we should try not to use any conspicuous magic, think you can do it?
Cain: Got it. If they find out that a wizard has infiltrated them, it could cause even more panic.
Cain: Alright then, let's try to lure her with some food first.
Cain: Any suggestions for something that Josephetine might like?
Akira: How about this banana?
Figaro: Yeah, sounds good. Let's give it to her while keeping our distance for now.
Cain reached out to Josephetine from the chandelier, gently offering her a banana.
Cain: Hey, Josephetine. Want some bananas?
Monkey: …….
Akira: She's staring… but doesn't look like she might come down.
Figaro: Maybe she is not that fond of bananas?
Owner: Could be. She's very much a grommet.
Cain: I'd try to get it a little closer to her, maybe the scent will get her attention.
Cain called out to a nearby servant and asked him to bring a banner. He attached a banana to the end of it and stretched it towards the chandelier.
Cain: Here, How about that?
Monkey: ...... sniff sniff.
Akira: Ah, it's sniffing the banana!
Cain: Oh! Did it work?
However, Josephetine suddenly seemed to lose interest and brushed the banana away.
Cain: Ah, guess not. I actually thought it would work too.
Figaro: Monkeys are pretty smart. It wouldn't be that easy.
Figaro: By the way Cain, the reason I turned you back into a human was because I wanted you to catch the monkey using your body, not by magic–
Figaro: You're good at that sort of thing, aren't you?
Cain: I mean, thanks for thinking that high of me and all but the chandelier is way too far for me to do something.
Cain: Now if we can get her a little closer it might just be possible.
While Cain was thinking about it, Figaro seemed to have thought of something and suggested.
Figaro: Got it. Then let's try to draw her attention even more.
Figaro's Secret Plan - Episode 3
Akira: Draw her attention? But how?
Figaro: Just watch.
Figaro takes a step forward and whistles at the monkey.
Monkey: ……
Akira: Ah, she looked over here!
Owner: So Josephetine responds to whistles…
Akira: Hm?
Owner: Oh, I've never whistled to call her before, so I didn't know either.
Akira: Did you know that this method would attract her attention, Figaro?
Figaro: Just kind of. Even in the southern country, I was sometimes called to handle animals.
Figaro: I'm glad she's a more obedient lady than I thought.
Akira: (Amazing... He attracted Josephetine's attention in a way that even the owner didn't know about.)
Figaro whistles again.
Josephetine responds each time, but she won't come down.
Monkey: Kee!
Cain: This isn't good. She's getting more and more annoyed.
Akira: Figaro! Let's keep some distance for now…
Figaro: ……
Monkey: …..!!
At that moment, the air around Figaro changed.
Figaro: ……..
The smile disappeared from Figaro's face, and he turned a sharp, piercing gaze upon Josephetine.
Josephetine froze, pierced by his gaze.
At that moment, she stared at Figaro, as if she was not even allowed to escape and—
Figaro: ...Phew…
Monkey: …..
Startled by the whistle, Josephetine lost her balance.
Akira: Oh no... she's falling...!
Cain: ……!
Cain ran under the chandelier and successfully caught Josephetine as she fell.
Cain: !! …Are you hurt, miss monkey?
Monkey: Ooho...
Owner: Josephetine! It's okay, it's all okay now.
Akira: She calmed down completely in Cain's arms.
Owner: Yeah. But why did she suddenly become so calm?
Figaro: Hmm, maybe she was just captivated by me.
Owner: Eh?
Cain: No, I think she probably couldn't handle Figaro's pressure...
Akira: (I guess wild animals can sense these things...)
Apparently, the owner, who was standing a little distance away, didn't notice Figaro's change.
Owner: Thank you so much. Thanks to you guys, no one was injured so I'm really glad.
The owner thanked us and left with Josephetine. As I watched them leave, I looked around the venue once again.
The people who had been in a state of dread just a moment ago finally seemed to relax, and looked relieved.
Cain: Well, that settles the matter.
Figaro: Yeah. It feels good to do something good.
Figaro: Right, Master Sage?
Akira: Haha, You're right.
Akira: (He was good at handling animals, but for Figaro...)
Akira: (Maybe he just had a strong desire to help the owner instead...)
I steal a quick glance at Figaro's profile.
Figaro looks refreshed and satisfied as he looks towards the owner, chatting away in a happy manner.
As many as possible - Card episode
Figaro: Hello, Master Sage.
Akira: Welcome back, Figaro. Have you just returned from the southern country?
Figaro: Yeah. It took more time than I thought, and I've gotten late.
Akira: Huh? That bottle in your hand… Did you bring it from the southern country?
Figaro: Oh, this? It's goat's milk.
Figaro: When I went to check on a regular patient of mine, he asked me to check on his goats as well.
Figaro: I wasn't used to it, but I did examine it and he gave this to me as thanks.
Akira: It's amazing how Figaro can treat animals on the spot.
Figaro: Well, animals and humans are similar in basic structure. So I can treat simple things.
Figaro: But I prefer to deal with humans.
Akira: Is it difficult to treat animals?
Figaro: That's part of it, but humans also thank you after you help them, and you can build a closer relationship with them.
Akira: (I see. For Figaro, treatment is a way for interacting with people precious to him...)
Akira: I think you feel that way because for Figaro, you make sure to connect with your patients while treating them.
Akira: So for you, the smiles and gratitude of your patients becomes a great source of strength.
Figaro: Haha. I'm so happy to hear that from you, Master Sage.
Figaro: Let's see... You're right, I want to save as many patients as possible, and I want to remain someone they can rely on forever.

Murr asked me for my opinion on "true solitude" based on my experience. I can't believe he asked such a question to a popular guy like me who is loved by everyone, he really messed the mark with that one. I had no choice but to explain to him in detail how much he was asking the wrong person.

Honestly, the lil lore that I wanna give Lachesis and Atropos is, which, am still holding onto in case I need to change things up for it when I get to Finally know more bout the story again is that when they were human, Lachesis was a Judge and Atropos was an Executioner. I wanted silly sisters angst where Atropos was forced into that role for Reasons and Lachesis taking on the judge role to fully carry the burden of guilt for the people that Atropos executes by being like "I chose for them to die, their blood is on my hands, not yours."
But I think that's too dark for a silly pokemon game about exploring dungeons and something bout time being frozen.

The Lazies got me also when it comes to my Expanded Sky save orz... I wanted to redo it at first so I can finally get a female Popplio and female Pikachu but the lazies... (if anything it was the fact that my focus today is non-existant, I still haven't even migrated my old save to the new version too).
I'm just gonna continue with my Silly and full of whimsy idea (Lachesis being transfem and later on, Seafoam Also becoming transfem that she changes her name to Seabloom afterwards).

Also, I dunno how it'll go for the sisters thing in my pmd saves cuz I haven't finished the game yet (still too early in the story... I keep forgetting to play orz) and it's been Years since the last time I played it so I don't remember the story much. But I wanted to make it so that the sisters got turned into a pokemon where Lachesis (the older sister) got turned into a Popplio first and then Atropos (the younger sister) got turned into a Galarian Ponyta later on.

I love playing around with my Stardew Valley farmer. He's stuck in a timeloop + reincarnation each time I make a new save. His life as Asante is the best thing cuz he didn't know of the Horrors (getting sent back to the very start of the game in a new save all while having a whole different identity).
Then there's their life as Perdita which is being so lost and confused bout everything but continuing on with his farming duties again but everything is Strangely different too (modded save).
And now, I plan on making Another modded save but with the addition of a whole different farm and a new person in town in which my farmer is just sooo tired of repeating this and not having any answers.
But despite the 3 repeated lives, he will always continue to love Elliott.

My brain was so easily Distracted today that I jumped from game to game and now have tiny lil lore tidbits to add onto my characters in Stardew Valley and Explorers of Sky.
Like-- I plan on making Another new save for my Stardew Valley (I saw an Argenti mod and I just Had to try and get that + a modded map too). And so, making my farmer More depressed.
And then for my Explorers of Sky, I went and got a save for Explorers of Fortune so now I just think that my hero in Fortune is the sister of my hero in Expanded Sky.

PMD: Expanded Sky version 2.0.0 - DUSK Version is now live!
(For context to those who haven't seen the original post, this is a PMD EoS romhack that adds all starters from gens 5-9 into the game as heroes/partners)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No additional starters yet, but a long-awaited change is finally here:
All starters are now available as heroes and partners in one version, with no gender-locking!
That's right - you can pick your hero and partner's gender without it factoring into which Pokémon you can pick, and the MIDDAY/MIDNIGHT divide is no more. Welcome to DUSK!
This comes at the cost of the quiz unfortuntely, but does mean even more starters can be added in the future (A few planned are Hisuian Zorua, Yamper and Espurr!) without having to lose any. Starters formerly removed such as Riolu and Skitty are now back - in fact, on top of new starters, all starters from all PMD Games (excluding the wiiware titles) are selectable as both heroes and partners!
(New hero/partner selection courtosey of Chesyon's Starter Menu Tool, go check it out!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A bunch of additional sprites and portraits have been updated to match with the PMD Sprite Repository, and all starters can now evolve fully save for the Quaxly line - Quaxwell doesn't have sprites yet, so Quaxly now evolves into Quaqaval.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, it was recently pointed out to me that Moonblast was doing damage of the user's primary type rather than Fairy type, which was caused by some strangeness with the move ID I'd assigned to it, so I've moved both Moonblast and Disarming Voice to new move ids to tidy things up a little. This shouldn't affect new players, but if you're continuing from an old MIDDAY or MIDNIGHT save file and you had one of these moves, you may notice you now have Milk Drink or a move with a name comprised of symbols instead. This can be resolved by learning Moonblast/Disarming Voice at the Electivire Link Shop.
To update to the new version, patch a clean copy of EoS with deltapatcher (or one of the alternatives provided in the readme and original post). If you have an existing Expanded Sky save file, rename the .sav file to match the name of the .nds file after you've patched it.

Celeste and Grovyle things
My headcanon is that pokemon in the pmd universe can evolve without Luminous Spring but only in life-or-death situations so it still doesn't happen very often. After time stopped, evolution became even more rare with Luminous Spring not working anymore, so the second and third images are based on a silly idea of Grovyle evolving and both him and Celeste having no idea what just happened lmao

Project SEKAI - White Day card lore + story
or; my personal insanity
To make my preamble short, I'll keep the story simple: in the game they have events themed to irl holidays, like Christmas or Valentine's Day. Well, there's also a celebration called White Day. Since 2022, the game has had annual events about White Day. The card sets are themed after high medieval European fantasy, and to the observant eye contain consistent details that hint at a larger implied story behind these illustrations.
This is basically an updated version of an older post I've made, which you can view here. I just feel like making a newer version of it, and also because I like yapping about this.
My explanation of everything is going to be absolutely monstrous in length and detail, so its all under a read more for the sake of all of our dashboards.
The Cards
The White Day events and their gachas are as follows:
The Gentleman Thief's Thrilling White Day!? - Knights of White
Never Give Up Cooking! - Imperial Soldiers
Relaxing Teatime - What Awaits at the End of Battle
Connect hearts message - The Endless Battle to Protect
From here, we can gather the necessary information needed to put the pieces together since we can look at the cards through Sekaipedia.
Characters currently missing from the lineup are as follows:
Luka Megurine
Honami Mochizuki
Haruka Kiritani
Shizuki Hinomori
Kohane Azusawa
An Shiraishi
Nene Kusanagi
Ena Shinonome
... So please ignore their absence from this lineup. Yes, I wish they got cards already, too.
A note before we get into the actual card lore: There's an event I would like to mention, which is The Power of Regret and its gacha Noble Knights Fighting for Supremacy. I mention this because, despite it being a unit focus event, the cards carry a lot of visuals and iconography seen in the White Day sets. Despite this, I have decided to exclude it to maintain some semblance of simplicity (which I have already failed at, as I am talking about insanely small details in card art for this entire post). However, if you would like to see a simplified version of my thoughts, check this post.
The Factions
In White Day, there are two main factions: the Knights and the Empire. There are two minor factions aside from these, which I refer to as Third and Fourth as they do not have official names. There are some characters with no clear allegiances, as well.
The Knights of White
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Knights of White is a major faction in White Day, introduced through the event The Gentleman Thief's Thrilling White Day!? and its gacha Knights of White. Their outfits are largely characterized by white and blue colors, and their symbol is an eight-pointed star. The faction currently is known to consist of the following members:
Akito Shinonome
Tsukasa Tenma
Shiho Hinomori
Len Kagamine
The Empire
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Empire is a major faction in White Day, introduced through the event Never Give Up Cooking! and its gacha Imperial Soldiers. Their outfits are largely characterized by black and red, and their symbol is a dragon. Additionally, each of their outfits has a distinct red gemstone located somewhere on it. The faction is known to consist of the following characters:
Toya Aoyagi
Rui Kamishiro
KAITO
Miku Hatsune
Saki Tenma
Third Faction
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Third Faction is a minor faction in White Day, introduced in the event Relaxing Teatime and its gacha What Awaits at the End of Battle. The colors on their outfits can vary but a consistent one seems to be blue, and their symbol is a four-pointed star. Interestingly enough, their outfits also have distinct red gemstones on them, similar to the Imperial outfits. There are only two known members of this faction:
Kanade Yoisaki
Mafuyu Asahina
Fourth Faction
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fourth Faction is a minor faction in White Day, introduced in the same event and gacha as Third Faction. Their colors appear to consist of teal, red, and white, and their symbol is a pattern of four lozenges. There are only two known members of this faction:
Minori Hanasato
Airi Momoi
Unknown Allegiances
There are currently two characters in White Day that hold no clear allegiances to any known faction, and they will be talked about separately.
Mizuki Akiyama
Tumblr media
Mizuki's outfit consists of white and different blues, along with distinctive silver trims instead of the usual gold or bronze. It's unclear as to what her emblem is, but based off of the banners in the background and some details on her outfit it is likely her emblem is that of a heart. While having been introduced alongside the Knights of White, she carries no indicators that she is a member of their faction.
Ichika Hoshino
Tumblr media
Ichika's outfit consists of the colors white, black, and red, and the emblem she wears resembles as fleur-de-lis. Her outfit does not contain any noticeable allusions to other factions, so I currently have her sorted under this category.
The Time Skip
Yeah, there was a time skip between the other sets and the fourth one. This was confirmed in a blog post by Colorful Palette where they talk about this particular set, which was introduced in the event Connect hearts message with the gacha The Endless Battle to Protect. Additionally, there are details on Saki's outfit in particular that link her directly back to her 2* from the Imperial Soldiers set, which further proves that these cards exist within the same continuity.
None of these factions have official names, so I refer to them with names that reference the shape of their emblems. Also, both of these known factions have some kind of animal-like theming to them. I won't be pointing it out in the following descriptions, but its interesting enough to bring up at least once.
The Stars
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Stars' outfits largely use white, with accents and trims of gold. The secondary color tends to vary between each member. Their emblem is that of a five-pointed star. There are currently three members of this faction:
Saki Tenma
Rin Kagamine
Shiho Hinomori
The Hearts
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Hearts' outfits consist of whites and light blues. Their emblem, as their name implies, is that of a heart. And YES, it's different than the emblem that Mizuki has in her card--I checked and can verify this to be true. There are currently two members of this faction:
Emu Otori
MEIKO
Outfit Names
Alright, we need to take a moment to talk about outfit names before we get into the meat of the lore. Mostly because it's important enough for me to want to include these. We will go through them sorted by the events they released in.
Tsukasa Tenma - Chivalrous Chevalier
Akito Shinonome - Noble Paladin
Mizuki Akiyama - Optatio Eques
Tsukasa's outfit name is partially in French, the word "chevalier" meaning knight iirc. "Chivalrous" pairs up nicely with it.
The name for Akito's outfit is self explanatory in my opinion: he is a very high ranking military leader.
Mizuki's outfit name is unique compared to the others, her outfit's name being in Latin. "Optatio" likely means "choice" in this context considering the origin of the word. "Eques" is a type of knight, specifically a member of the cavalry. It also has the implication of being a high-ranking member of society due to the word's origins being in reference to the Roman army. I do wonder what "choice" has to do with her here...
Small note about Len from this set that I literally cannot fit anywhere else, but his card is called "Innocent Squire".
Toya Aoyaki - Chevalier Noir
Rui Kamishiro - Mad Sorcerer
KAITO - Wandering Gunner
The word "noir" as an adjective means "dark" or just the color black. Since we already know what the word chevalier means, we can easily infer that the name of Toya's outfit just means "black knight". I will point out however that the stock character of the black knight is usually a villainous type and contrasts with the white knight of the same kinds of stories. This makes sense, considering that in a blog post from Colorful Palette, it was confirmed that this was the allusion they intended to make with this set when paired with the Knights of White.
Rui and KAITO's outfits don't really need an explanation like the others do, sorry. The names are so obvious and don't use any big or interesting enough words to warrant me talking about them at length. I will point out that the use of "wandering" for KAITO's outfit name does imply he may be a mercenary of some kind--a "gun for hire", if you will.
Kanade Yoisaki - Fleeting Light Knight Attire
Ichika Hoshino - Illuminated Courtyard Knight Attire
Mafuyu Asahina - Abyss Knight Attire
The names for this event's outfits are much more simple to explain, and I don't need to use too many words on them. Each of them reference times of day; "Fleeting Light" is twilight and "Abyss" is likely the night. "Illuminated Courtyard" directly refers to the background of Ichika's card, which is likely set during the day (inferred due to the amount of light in the scene). Between the ideas of the "black knight" and "white knight" I think the outfit names here are interesting.
Saki Tenma - Saint Beast Sorcerer
Emu Otori - Beastman Summoner
Rin Kagamine - Golden Sheep Soldier
While I don't have much to say on Emu's outfit unfortunately, I do have thoughts on Saki's. In the blog post about this event, it was stated that the artistic intention behind her trained card illustration was to create an atmosphere of "sacredness". The idea of her being a saint-like figure is interesting in this regard, with saints throughout history being holy figures who are seen as being close to their god. The idea of "saint" paired with "beast" is something I find particularly interesting, for two reasons:
The overall animal theming of the set.
The idea of a "beast" in theology tends to be something negative.
So the idea of a holy kind of beast is something I think is fun to think about. In this point in time (in the context of White Day), being a beast is a neutral thing. Alongside this seems to be a more neutral view on magic--the usage of "sorcerer" here contrasts with how it was used in the outfit names from the Imperial Soldier set.
The name of Rin's outfit is possibly a reference to the golden fleece and by extension the ram Chrysomallos. Her being reflective of the ram--or at least the myth surrounding it--checks out imo.
The Story/Lore
Finally, we can get into the story and lore of the cards. This is where things go into the realm of me truly going insane. Bear with me here.
Rose Meanings
There's a reoccurring symbol seen on some of the White Day cards, which is of a rose. The following characters spotted with this are as follows:
Tsukasa Tenma
Akito Shinonome
Mizuki Akiyama
Shiho Hinomori
Len Kagamine
Toya Aoyagi
So, what does this mean? I suspect it may be a reference to the real life historical event known as the Wars of the Roses. This war was, putting it as simply as I can, fought between two opposing houses in a battle for control over the throne of England. We'll get more into the specifics of that later.
Roses, in the case of the White Day timeline, may be representative of characters who are canonically to this world of noble birth. This is in line with the outfit names for the characters listed here [who got outfits].
Possible Alliance Change
As previously covered, each of the factions has a distinct emblem that [most] of the people in the faction wear. However, there is one exception to this rule: Rui. On Rui's outfit in the Imperial Soldiers set, his belt has an emblem on it, but its not that of a dragon like everyone else in the Empire--it's of the Knights of White's eight-pointed star.
This has so many implications for his character. People have suggested that maybe he holds an allegiance to the Knights even as a member of the Empire, but I disagree with that. Instead, what I believe is that something happened to have caused Rui to leave the Knights of White and join the Empire. Why is he still wearing the emblem of the Knights? Well, I wouldn't put it past him to be sentimental about his time on their side of the war. He probably misses his friends.
Now, why would Rui leave the Knights? This is something that really goes from being based in evidence to me coming up with random ideas in an effort to piece the story together. I think that, possibly, Rui was shunned for being a magic user. He's the only character in the entire pre-time skip lineup that uses magic, and his outfit has the name "Mad Sorcerer". This is of course is just speculation on my part and is caused entirely by me having lost my mind.
The Dragon
This section is going to be pretty short, but we need to address the elephant in the room, or rather the dragon in the room. Information about the dragon itself is vague, but what we do know is that the dragon is referred to as Toya's "aibou" ("partner") in the blog post about the Imperial Soldier set from Colorful Palette. Important to note is the word used there is the same one that tends to refer to the relationship between Akito and Toya in canon.
I've seen some speculation that Akito may actually be the dragon, but I am inclined to disagree. Instead, I think what happened is that Akito and Toya had some kind turbo divorce and that the dragon is Toya's new partner in battle.
The War
If its not obvious enough, there is definitely some kind of war going on in this timeline--likely between the Knights of White and the Empire. This is less implied through the card art itself and more through the aforementioned blog post about the Imperial Soldier set and general "dark vs light" theming going on. So, what exactly caused all of this? Putting it simply, its very hard to say what exactly they're fighting about. They could be fighting over anything, so my main guesses relate back to the dragon and my speculation over Rui's allegiances, or maybe just Akito and Toya making their divorce everyone's problem.
While the war is primarily fought between the Knights of White and the Empire, that ignores the roles of the people who fall outside of those two factions. The bulk of my thoughts here when it comes to entire factions has to do with the involvement of the Third and the Fourth factions.
A lot of the iconography and colors of the Third faction resemble both of the major parties in the war, which is something I find really interesting. The outfit names for the members of Third also intrigue me in the context of the color symbolism at play in this world. They may be some kind of middle ground between the Knights and Empire, acting either on both sides of the war for their own interests or as more of a mediating entity between the two sides.
Fourth faction is equally as interesting, as well. They seem to exist outside of the binary entirely, carrying their own emblems and colors separately from the rest. Their role is much more speculative than Thirds, so I propose the idea that they possibly seek to end the war entirely. May I remind, the name for the gacha of the event that Third and Fourth were introduced through is What Awaits at the End of Battle. This is where I base a lot of my ideas from regarding the possible motivations of these two groups.
Something else I would like to speculate about regarding some of the characters is the catastrophic levels of divorce between unit members in this world. I have a lot of thoughts about this subject and none of it has any proper basis in the cards themselves, but I will throw out the idea of the units all having the craziest divorces of all time, along with how Mizuki and Ichika don't have any clear allegiance to any specific factions.
The Time Skip (War, cont.)
At some point in the timeline, there is a big time skip between the first three White Day sets and the fourth. As talked about previously, this was confirmed in a blog post about this particular set from Colorful Palette.
The environments around the characters and their designs reflect this time change. They are surrounded by older, crumbling buildings--structures that are still intact retain a lot of similar architectural stylings, though. Magic is a lot more common in this age as well, with the majority of people in the set wielding it to some degree. There's also the detail of how characters now have traits like larger ears and tails like animals; the allusions to mythology and beasts make this even more clear. The characters with horns remind me a lot of the set from the event What Lies Behind, What Lies Ahead, but this isn't to say they are related in any way of course.
Something in particular I do want to talk about in detail here is actually Saki's design for this set. There are details that imply that this is the very same Saki from the Imperial Soldiers set, which has been pointed out by both myself and other people who have posted about this set. Again referring back to the blog post about this set, the artists specifically designed Saki's hair here to resemble her normal hairstyle, the major difference is that it has grown out significantly as to indicate the passage of time. Additionally, Saki wears a garter on her left leg in this outfit, which can also be found on her design from her previous card in the White Day timeline.
This means that this Saki is the same as the one from the past. Given the passage of time and how she is referred to as a "saint" by the outfit names, I would not put it past the story here to suggest that she may have found a method of obtaining immortality.
What's interesting is that war still goes on, even this far into the future. What's good is that Leo/need seems to have stopped being divorced--presuming that they also found a method of immortality, depending on how long its been between then and now. There could be the possibility that Saki is the only surviving person from the time before the skip due to her immortal nature, which is really sad to think about tbh...
Concluding Statements
I honestly have no good way to wrap up this post aside from saying that my interpretations shouldn't be heralded as fact. I'm doing this for fun and also because I've been thinking about these little details since November of last year when I first took notice of them. My main goal with this is just to get people thinking about these little details. I want people to come up with their own ideas regarding how White Day's timeline goes, mostly because making stories like this is fun!
Anyways, that's my autism blast.

Honestly, a good thing that we didn't throw out my old mouse cuz I cannot deal with this current one. It's absolute shit and no amount of smacking it can help. It's a gamble whether it'd double click, not click, single click, OR right click all in one action of just... clicking the left click. I can't even use the scroll cuz there's Also a chance of it doing a right click on a single scroll, it's so maddening I'd rather go back to a mouse with One(1) problem than multiple.

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping
