The concept of the Five is so interesting and so scary to me - a world where traditional democracy fell through, making way for corporations to rule the planet. Joe tells the kids they rose up and saved everyone. Maybe he was just being optimistic in front of the children, but it's pretty ironic of him to say that after having been told he and his sister are essentially eternally and irrevocably owned by Prodigy.

And as we see in every single other Alien project, Romulus in particular, these corporations (looking at you Weyland-Yutani) end up owning everyone like slaves, running their lives how they see fit and then and ending them at will.

also ironic of the company that buys every other company to put this message out in one of their horror shows ahhahahahhaa mom pick me up I'm scared
