most frustrating thing in the world is when you really like a character who sucks, and you know they suck, so you’re chill with people who dislike or even hate them because… well they suck, you get it. but then a whole bunch of people hate them for things that just aren’t actually accurate or canon to the character and just treat these inaccurate and awful character traits as a given, so then you feel like you gotta be this scumbag’s defense attorney. free my man, he did so much awful shit but he didn’t do that

huge fan of that one moment in the vampire chronicles when louis came up with the solution to defeating the Big Bad and wanted to tell the other vampires and lestat was like i don't think that's a good idea :/ if anyone belittles or patronizes you i'll become very angry :/ and then they all get together and the only one belittling or patronizing louis is lestat

really enjoy the way a lot of anne rice enjoyers talk about her the way people do about incredibly evil little lapdogs. ...oh yes that's our anne! she has a deadname even though she's fully cis and she also gay despite being straight. she arrives at book signings in a hearse and very publicly fights the popeye's restaurant owners about lestat. she has some of the worst opinions you will ever hear in your life and you will hear them (only sometimes as voiced by 200+ year old vampires). some of her books are so bad they're innovative. watch out she bites. :)
