I think it's important to understand that discussions around amatonormativity usually aren't (or shouldn't be) asking people to see their individual romantic relationships as less important, because wanting a long-term monogamous romantic relationship isn't inherently amatonormative.
Amatonormativity is about the bigger picture of how society treats romantic relationships. It's about placing romantic relationships at the top of a hierarchy and then claiming that most meaningful close and intimate connections to other humans are only accessable through them. Amatonormativity is the assumption that everyone wants to end up in a monogamous long-term romantic relationship and then decrying anyone who wants a relationship that doesn't fit into that very narrow category.
Every individual person has to figure out for themselves which types of relationships they desire or don't desire and how much importance they want to give them. Amatonormativity criticizes the fact that that's not a question you are normally asked in the first place, because the answer is always assumed.
I think if in the end someone decides to prioritize their romantic relationships, they will still have defied amatonormativity simply through consciously making that decision, and through not assuming the same for everyone else. To me, dismantling amatonormativity is about deconstructing the assumed hierarchy of relationships, giving people the chance to actually think about what they truly want, and opening the pathways for those possibilities.

Lotta people, even a lot of queer people clearly think that gender presentation begins and ends at hair lenght which I gotta say is boring as fuck you need to open your eyes. Masc + long hair is such a powerful combo I will not be silenced on this

originality's cool but don't forget that the guys you're scared of ripping off almost always talk openly about the pieces of art that directly influenced them

For those that don't get it: when alloaros (or other non-ace aros) complain about asexual posts in the aro tags we're not talking about aroace posts
We're talking about posts that have nothing to do with aromanticism being tagged as aromantic just because it mentions asexuality
We're talking about posts that have nothing to do with asexuality being tagged as ace or aroace just because it mentions aromanticism
We're talking about posts made by alloaros about being alloaro being tagged as asexual/aroace
If you are aroace and you make a post about your experiences then you're allowed to tag it as aroace
If you reblog someone else's post about being aspec and it's not tagged as ace and has nothing to do with asexuality and you tag it as ace/aroace then that is the problem
If you make a post that's for all aros and it's something that all aros can relate to then it's okay to tag it as aroace, but tag it as alloaro too. Make an effort to include all aros when you talk about being aro
This isn't just word semantics or us making an issue out of nothing. Alloaros often have no idea that they're aromantic because they feel sexual attraction and assume they can't be aromantic because they aren't asexual. They think this way because every single aromantic experience is immediately assumed to be an aroace experience. Our community is tiny and we have trouble reaching people because they think they can't be aromantic without being asexual.
Even in real life, out there in the world, people assume we're asexual and refuse to believe otherwise when we come out as aromantic.
Our identities are being erased and a majority of people who fit the definition of alloaro don't realize that being a non-ace aro is even an option.
This is happening because of the way that aromanticism is treated in the aspec community. If your aromanticism is inseparable from your asexuality then that's fine, you just need to stop treating aromanticism as a whole as inherently tied to asexuality.

preaching to the choir obviously but to rob people of a personal choice out of the ostensible fear they might come to regret said choice is a thousand times crueler than allowing them the freedom to do things they might ultimately regret
