Being a lefty Captain America head is so hard because on one hand you have a bunch of weird people who have never read a Captain America comic and insist he's always been about the status quo when he repeatedly gives up the Captain America mantle because of being disillusioned with the US Government, and on the other hand you have a bunch of weird people who really want to insist that Captain America represents "the idealised America, the America that should be!" as a defence against this criticism as if the "idealised" version of America that is Good and Pure and is a Beacon Of Democracy isn't still pro-American Imperialist western propaganda. It's so tough out here.
