Does the knight actually do anything to protect the royal?? No! Does the royal keep them around because they think their adorable? Yes!

Like a royal is just holding a tea party in the garden meanwhile the knight is on the ground trying to save their liege from an ant with a toothpick

Sleeping giants are just great.

This utterly massive being, one when compared to yourself completely outranks you in every physical facet; they could level cities if they so pleased, or perhaps engulf your entire form within their hand, your entire existence and life in the literal palm of it. They could do anything and you would be completely helpless.

But here? Here they lay sound asleep, a brief moment of vulnerability for an otherwise “invulnerable” being. Their deep breaths swaying the grass beneath their nose, or perhaps blowing sand out from under it. Deep hums arise from deep within them, perhaps reaction to a dream. Every now and then they move slightly, their head furrowing into the ground more, and their arms either stretching out or moving closer into their body. Their heard beats slowly and methodically in a clear relaxed state.

And you? Perhaps you lay upon them, taking in the warmth of their skin, or maybe listing to the sound of their heart and breathing as you slowly fall asleep within a pocket of their shirt.

Or are you are sitting beside them? Letting their warm breath wash over your small form, admiring their face as they sleep. Finally able to take in all of the little details that were usually lost when they were up and about. All the details that made you love them even more.

Maybe you’re sitting under one of their massive hands to keep away from the sun, only to be scooped up as they reposition themselves during a REM cycle. Trapping you within their large hand. It felt as if a mass weighted blanked fell over your body. A comforting feeling, but one you are unable to escape.

Their fingers will soon begin to unravel as this moment of rem sleep slowly passes by. Freeing you from their grasp. Perhaps you’ll stay in the position you’re in, relaxing against one of their many large fingers that surround you, or maybe you’ll move, finding a new sitting position or perhaps finally attempting to wake your large friend. The latter proving to be an entire story in itself

thinkin about how cute and sweet the dynamic of a female giant with a male tiny is. not even necessarily in the romantic sense, it can be entirely platonic but like, you know how femininity is often seen as being small and weak, "in need of being protected"? while masculinity often sees the person being assigned the role of being the protector, bigger and stronger. you know, cis-hetronormative nonsense like that

but in g/t when those roles are reversed.. the lady is the big one protecting the guy, and the smaller man welcomes it, knowing it's a display of her love towards him. it's so sweet.

guy who is full of absolute seething hatred but he's only a few inches tall this is fanart based off of @draconicsparkle's Hundred Line oneshot fic Minuscule Side Effects! go check it out! it has some sweet Takumi and Eito interactions, especially towards the end. tiny Eito was just such a funny mental image i couldnt resist drawing it. let's all point and laugh at him (and also be respectful of his needs and accommodate him)

language barriers in g/t...........

you already have the size difference creating a potential barrier for the giant and tiny, add in the factor of differing languages despite all that, the two of them still become friends and try their best to understand each other in some way just... ough. very cute

giants and humans in a war against each other the giants are huge, so to fight them, the humans build gigantic mechs that require several people to pilot them

maybe the giants wear power armor of their own, which conceals their human-like appearance, giving them the outward appearance of giant robots themselves. the humans perceive the giants as mindless mechanical monsters at first. It's not until one of the giants has their helmet broken/taken off during a fight that the opposing mech team realizes they've been fighting actual (giant) people.

as for how the giants perceive the humans, it varies. some look down on them (in more ways than one), thinking to themselves things like "look at the lengths they have to go to in order to even come close to our power" in response to their mechs. others think "but the humans are so tiny and cute !! do we really have to fight them? :(" while other giants still are more neutral in their opinions towards them there are moments of mercy. like a giant manages to get the upper hand on a human mech. the giant completely decimates the machinery, even prying open the cockpit and exposing the pilots. obviously the humans are gonna be terrified beyond belief, thinking that it's the end for them. But the giant just stares at them for a bit and then... just leaves. they've already decommissioned the mech, it would just be senseless to add to the violence and actually take lives. and of course throughout the whole thing, there are giants and humans who come together and befriend each other. civilians of both sides who don't want war. regular people, both human and giants, who just want to coexist peacefully with each other.

g/t cuddling while it's raining outside.... the giant is just holding the tiny to their chest, keeping them warm during the night as the two of them fall asleep to the sound of the rain falling, cozy and dry indoors

(link for those who haven't seen it. be aware it's rated Mature) i think it's a very interesting look through a g/t lens into Takumi and Eito's general dynamic. there's a certain level of care between them, but also clearly there's unhealthy elements to it and it's very fascinating. also Eito being the giant in g/t scenarios is terrifying asdfghjk

when the giant and tiny are hanging out during a meal and the giant is just casually giving the tiny bits and pieces of their food throughout it, since the tiny is too little to have full-sized portions

bonus points if the tiny is in one of the giant's pockets (probably funny for outside observers if the tiny isnt visible because it'd look like the giant is inexplicably just funneling food into their pocket for later) or they're sitting somewhere on the giant like their shoulder or lap

tiny parent being carried around by their giant child. the parent ends up falling asleep like that because they've been working so hard for their child lately. The giant child then carries the parent to bed and tucks them in, either in a giant bed too big for the parent or a doll bed just right for them (maybe the parent was recently shrunk or maybe they've just always been that size) the giant child has seen giant adults do this for their children before, so naturally it must just be what you do when you love someone smaller than you. they love their tiny parent so much !

ok but like.. does anyone hold little toy figures or those small wooden mannequins made for pose reference and get giant feelings. like.. it lets you vaguely experience how it'd feel to hold a tiny humanoid being in your hands i just did this myself and i have warm fuzzy feelings. g/t brain strikes again

a giant who lives out in a dangerous wilderness area and regularly rescues humans in danger. the giant brings them back to their house and nurses them back to health until they’re strong enough to leave. at any one time they may have multiple humans staying with them

the humans returning home bring tales of a very kind gentle giant running a great bed & breakfast in the middle of nowhere. other people question them like they’re talking about cryptids

when i'm in a tiny mood, part of the appeal of being small for me is just like.... being helped with everything being carried everywhere bc you can't keep up with everyone else if you walk with them, having to ask others to pick up and move everything for you because you're too small to, being lifted up to reach/see something... the idea of people being so kind and understanding, being cared for like that... it makes my heart flutter
