Crochet Dinosaur Gift

Aside from Valentines Day coming up tomorrow, my little brother Max's birthday is going to be on the 18th of February. He liked this little guy I crocheted for him, so he wanted me to make a much bigger version of him for this gift.

That would make it my second time crocheting a dinosaur, except a lot more bigger for my brother to have. Even though your birthday is in 5 days, happy birthday, Maxie!!

My First Crochet Order

Last year, my dad told me that my Tita Carol saw how pretty my crocheted collar was and she wanted me to make one for her!

As you can see in the pictures, I made sure the design had a shade of brown like she requested and I made it look as much like a flower as possible because my Tita Carol loves flowers. I think I finished it in less than two weeks combined with the blocking and sewing time.

It was around Christmas time when my dad delivered the collar to her, and he sent me photos of how it looked on her. And I can tell she loves it!

What I Love About The Sounds of Nightmares

After nearly a year since The Sounds of Nightmares audio series ended, I still find myself listening to a few of its episodes. With that said, here's what I love about this whole series.

Firstly, I love the fact that it acts as a type of audiobook because of how Noone recounts her nightmares each episode, and the sound effects are so good and feel so real!

Second, the story line of each of Noone's nightmares can give us some clues on the landmarks we could see in Little Nightmares 3, like the circus from episode 4, Two of a Kind (probably my favorite episode).

Overall, I can't get over how amazing this whole audio series is, and I will not stop wishing for a second season.

Crocheted Plushies!!!!

When I got my first set of safety eyes for amigurumi projects, these were the two of the ones I made recently!

The little blue dinosaur was meant for my little brother because he likes dinosaurs a decent amount and his favorite color is blue, so obviously I had to make this for him. And since this was my first time crocheting one of these, I would say it looked good for a first try!

The cat bee may or may not have been inspired by Cat Bee from Poppy Playtime (if you know, you know). But I am IN LOVE with how it turned out!!!! This is the biggest crocheted plush I've made since I've started crocheting!

Next time, I might even crochet a character from Little Nightmares, who knows!

What I plan to do for 2025

Since it is now 2025, I've been thinking about what I'll do with my art and crochet stuff this year. Currently, I'm working on making a Granny Square blanket for every month of the year, which will probably take a very long time. My mom has been helping me out with my entrepreneurship so I could sell my crochet projects online, so I'll think about what my shop will be called and what crocheted items I'll be selling.

Aside from the crochet stuff, my painting has been left out a bit but I am still continuing my current piece. I want to finish the painting by the end of the month, or at least before our 4th quarter of homeschool for this grade ends.

How I started to love Little Nightmares

About a year or two ago, I discovered a video explaining the story of the Little Nightmares Franchise. Now, I've heard of this game a few times before, but I was skeptical of watching it. At first, I was nervous to watch and let alone play this game because of it's graphics, but when I watched the video, it instantly drew me in. After watching multiple gameplay videos on Little Nightmares, I finally decided to play it along with my brother, it was the best memory I've had of gaming.

Ever since then, Little Nightmares has been and has always been my favorite game of all time! There isn't a day where I'm not watching videos on gamers playing each game, and there isn't a time where I don't have the game and lore itself on my mind. You should've seen my face when I discovered the trailer for Little Nightmares 3, I was ecstatic!

My heart always has a special for the franchise and I'll never stop loving it.

Getting back into painting

As you might know, I've been taking a break from painting for a while and instead doing more crocheting. But for my second quarter for this year of homeschooling, my brother and I were both tasked with making our own paintings. I've been getting excited to use pretty pastel colored paints for this project and I'm genuinely happy that I'm getting back into painting after months!

I haven't started it yet, but I'm planning on doing the piece in my free time and my art time at school. I've already planned out the drawing and the colors to put on the canvas!

The differences I noticed between Little Nightmares and REANIMAL

So I've noticed that when other gamers react to the trailers of both Little Nightmares 3 (or Little Nightmares in general) and REANIMAL, they seem to think it's the same thing.

But since they have the same developers, it's pretty obvious that you can tell the similarities. However, there are some aspects and designs I noticed in the games and trailers of the two games. Firstly, REANIMAL takes place in not only a city similar to the Pale City in Little Nightmares 2, but the city is much darker and ominous than the one we know in Little Nightmares. The land surrounding REANIMAL adds more mystery and suspension and the right amount of fear for the players to know what actually happened to the place.

Secondly, the monsters in Little Nightmares are more humanoid with different kinds of deformities and absurd abilities. REANIMAL's antagonists show more animalistic traits, like the Lamb and the worm-like creature shown in the demo gameplay. The monsters are also bigger in terms of size unlike the ones we encounter in Little Nightmares, with it's 'biggest' antagonists arguably being either the Monster version of Six and the Thin man.

Hopefully, we'll get to see what REANIMAL has in store for us.

The REANIMAL Announcement Trailer

Now that Tarsier Studios is making another game, one that is very similar to Little Nightmares, here are my thoughts.

One, I am very excited to play another game by Tarsier Studios. From what the gameplay looks like in the trailer, I'm going to assume that this game would be either better or scarier than the Little Nightmares game series.

Two, the world surrounding the upcoming game is a lot more different in terms of darkness and mystery compared to Little Nightmares, new perspectives to certain parts of the game could make it a but more difficult to keep track where your going if your running away from the monsters. Speaking of the monsters, some of them are more animalistic than the ones in Little Nightmares which are mostly humanoid, following the title; REANIMAL.

Overall, I can't wait to see what Tarsier Studios has in store for us in this upcoming game.

Willow Granny Square

The willow Granny Square is a good and fancy advanced pattern for beginners in crochet, especially for those who are learning how to crochet granny squares.

I tried out the pattern for this link, and it saved up a lot more yarn than the last pattern I first tried! I could follow this pattern to make Willow Granny Squares of any size to make bags, clothes, etc.

My thoughts for Little Nightmares 3

Since the gameplay demo was released, I've had some high hopes for the third game of the Little Nightmares franchise. Considering there are two new characters, I hope that there could be a player two available instead of an NPC. We'll also be introduced to a lot more new landmarks and of course, new monsters and bosses to fight!

This could also reveal how the complicated world of Little Nightmares works! There are several theories to certain aspects of the last two games, so the third one could be the charm to finding out what's really happening.

Crochet Hexagon Cardigan

This is my first project at trying to crochet my first Hexagon cardigan. I've been racking my brain on the colors for a while and I'm pretty confident with what I have now.

New Posca Markers

I bought these Posca Markers from Japan, one of them pastel and the other the original set. I even saw this sketchpad with black paper that I thought would look good with the markers.

Testing them out was my favorite part because I get to see how well they manage in certain patterns. I think I like the pastel ones better on the black sketchpad.

Gouache Sunset

Painting with gouache can be pretty difficult for some people, even for me! I'm currently practicing how to paint different landscapes with gouache, I like the result of this one!
