hey sorry if this is insane but would it be possible for you to point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to extract face textures from dragon age: inquisition? i want to try and slap something together for my own use but dai modding scares me...i dont know....

omg hiiii sorry i completely forgot this in my inbox.. to be honest no. I used to get them the papercrow modding tutorial method (archive link here cause they deleted it 🙄🙄 society if people stopped removing everything from the internet for no reason), but the mod manager is insanely unstable and outdated at this point, i use the frosty editor ❤ It's a lot easier to use, you don't have to worry about .dds files and such cause it supports regular jpg (i think) images as well... and it looks prettier imo. The only downside to it is that you can't extract other people's mods to tinker with them (i only do slight personal edits ;_;)

Sadly I don't have DAI installed ATM so I can't show it step-by-step, BUT I think it's actually super easy to navigate without needing a tutorial imo :> the face textures are found in Data\da3\actors\baseheads

hi! I hate to be a bother, but I love your morrigan! however after redownloading it now that it's not on the nexus, I got the glaring issue that even with all the requirements, morrigan is a white woman and not. melanated like she should be sdfhjksdfhkj

I just want to say I tried to replay da:o back in 2019(?) & I was so sad that your morphs for leliana & morrigan were gone that I uninstalled the game & didn’t try again until this year. Idk what ppl on nexus said but it’s literally my fav mod for da:o & I love it so much so thank u for reposting it

omg thank you this is so kind of you 🥺 honestly it was just nexus' userbase being kind of annoying, I just have a very low tolerance level for people bugging me on the internet -_- someone posted "improved" versions without my consent (and like yeah okay the first morphs I made really were far from perfect but that felt so rude) and someone else complained about me saying that I don't want anyone to whitewash Zevran if they change the files somehow. Heyo, I am having a similar issue with your Mod. Morrigan works out except for her eyes, which are white. While Leliana has issues with her eyes as well and skin (I think, it doesnt look right either way).I downloaded all of the mods you listed as requirements except for the 45 real skintones. I also excluded the companions you listed from El's companion mod. So I'm somewhat unsure what I should do haha

you need the 45 real skintones for it, otherwise I really don't know how to fix this issue with the eyes sorry

Hi! I'm trying to redownload your companion morphs because they are my favourites but when i click on the link it just sends me to a blank dropbox page and nothing is downloading

it works perfectly for me when I open in incognito tab?? It's only a blank page for about a second or two

hi! i just recently downloaded the companion mod and its absolutely beautiful, sadly ive had trouble with the eye textures missing, ive tried removing all my other mods and only keeping the ones i need for the mod to work and there still is only white eyes. if you know any fix it would help so much! so far ive only seen this problem with morrigan and zevran

Hm, as far as I know, that usually happens when the eye texture is either missing or there are conflicts, but you said you removed all other mods and I wouldn't know how Ellise's mod would conflict with anything out there... if you want I could upload the newer versions I made of Zevran and Leliana to see if the issue remains

Heya I know this message might be like, out of thin air, since you posted a while back but here goes nothing. Recently got into modding DA Origins, saw your awesome mod and I finished installing all the other mods. But since the page here doesn't have super explicit instructions, I assume that installing the mod is just putting it in the override folder? Or is there anything specific I need to do? Its the one with Morrigan, Zevran and Leliana.

hiiii this isnt random or anything at all and yup, basically!!!! sorry I kind of assumed everyone knew how to install mods, you just have to drop the required files and everything in overrride.

Be careful with ellise's mod though because it also includes morphs for Morrigan, Leliana and Zev that aren't compatible with mine. If you want to use my morphs, go to el_companiontexturesDAO/Companion Morphs and delete the Morrigan/Leliana/Zevran folders. So these

I made this mod a loooong time ago for an incredibly old version of Viva La Orlais and the mod has been updated since. I tried my hand at updating it to match the new version, sadly to no avail :( Somehow it just wouldn’t work for me.

On the bright side, the main reason for this retexture was because the original mod at the time didn’t have a proper normal map, meaning the texture was a little flat. Ladyofpayne has since vastly improved the quality of their mods by adding a better normal map and the new versions look amazing in-game! I personally now use it with Unique Character Overhaul (DIFFICULT installation that took me a few tries and a lot of frustrated quitting reloading of areas, but oh so worth it). I definitely recommend downloading it, here’s how it looks in my game :)

(i found out the author of the original mesh port gave permission to include their stuff in other mods so i figured i’d post this. it’s a very simple retexture of the fereldan noble dress, plus replacement for anora included)

DOWNLOAD THE DRESS HERE

requirements: 

viva la orlais by ladyofpayne

install instructions:

put “viva la orlais” into your override folder

go into […] override/Viva la Orlais/Orlesia outfits

now unpack the retexture, open the “fereldan clothing” folder and drag the “Ferelden Noble” into the one you previously opened. replace all files.

i haven’t made any files for the epilogue yet so anora only wears this after you rescued her and in the landsmeet. will update eventually.

ARTHMIS' COMPANION MORPHS - [link] (also known as that Morrigan Mod)

yep, this is a repost of my old Dragon Age mod. I took it down because of Nexusmods’ rather unpleasant community but a lot of you guys keep asking about it!! so I figured I might reupload this (and pray that the weirdos from Nexus won’t find and repost this AGAIN).

A HUGE shoutout to ellise on nexusmods because this heavily relies on her mod (linked below). I edited the Morrigan one to work better with the facial structure I gave her, with permission to upload it of course.

UPDATE 2024: I have since updated this mod, here's the new version! I won't take this one down in case anyone still wants to use it, just note that it's unsupported at this point!
