TRICK OR TREAT!
"Eh? Oh yes! Today's Halloween; the day where little children, teenagers, and some adults donned in costumes knock on the doors of their neighbors, friends, or even complete strangers and ask for candy... Anon-san; it's not all that safe you know! There could be poison in the candy! Ah well; sorry that I'm a bit unprepared but here's a sandwich as a substitute for candy! It's made specially by my mommy."
"Stay safe! It's dark out!"
Yui is giving out free Asunaburgers everyone.

"Where Yui was.. before meeting mama and papa..." she mumbles. How should she answer this question? All her options are equivalent to blowing her cover as a little child! "Yui doesn't remember." she lies.
“I’m sure you will be.” 22nd floor. 22nd floor, why does that floor seem so important? Oh yeah, I caught an A-Class fish there! That thing was yummy.
Okay back on track now, I’d like to see how she answers this question. “So… where were you before you met Asuna and Kirito?” A thought crosses my mind, could this in any way lead to Yui coming to harm at the hands of Cardinal? That would be really unfortunate. Hopefully it’s not consciously watching us at the moment.

"P-people can't see Menma? Why? Yui can see Menma just fine!" Yui protested. "Menma is a great person! I'm sure she can do something cool! Something great! Something that people will make people remember her forever!"

"Menma said she's trying to find out what her wish is, right? Yui will help Menma!" she proclaimed with determination. "Because, Menma is Yui's best friend now!"
Menma was amazed (not to mention a little envious) when she head of her new friend’s life. ”Menma thinks Yui must have a fun time exploring! Yui’s mama and papa sound really great as well!” She smiled, trying to think of a way to answer Yui’s question.
“Menma is trying to find out what her wish is.” She declared, her bright smile becoming one filled with nervousness. “Menma doesn’t really do anything else. In fact, Menma can’t do anything else. Most people can’t see Menma.”

Yui giggled sadistically at Liz's panic and fright, clearly not understanding how expensive the floor, and entire workshop, was to the blacksmith. Yui stood waiting patiently like a good child as Liz rummaged through her belongings to find some appropriate writing material.

Happily, she accepted the items with a squeaky "thank you" and began writing down her parents' respective IGN's.
"Kii--to... Auuu-na..." she mumbled while spelling out "Kirito" and "Asuna" on the scrap of paper. Once she was finished, which was a few brief seconds later, she hollered, "Do~~~ne~!"

Yui shrugged at Liz's acting. If she didn't want to talk about her sickness, then Yui decided she wouldn't pry on it since she could sense that it made the latter uncomfortable. But, if it got serious, then Yui would have to borrow one of her parents' healing crystal and use it immediately.

“Carve it into the — no!”

Liz put her hands up and shook her head. “No, don’t… don’t do that, Yui. Liz’s floor is very expensive, and replacing it would make Liz very broke. Here…” Glancing over at the little girl once in awhile to make sure that she didn’t destroy the wood paneling, Liz hurried over behind the main counter and rummaged through a couple drawers. When she found what she’d been looking for, she returned to Yui’s side and crouched down, pencil and paper in hand. “You can write on this instead, right?”
If anything, the girl’s comment about Liz’s flushed cheeks only succeeded in making them redder. “I! Uh!” She placed the writing materials on the ground and turned her face away.

“I’m not sick! I just… uh. It’s, it’s nothing!” She shook her head and looked back at Yui, a forced smile on her lips. “I’m fine, Yui, see? Completely… fine.”

Not.

Noticing his discomfort and confusion, Yui stayed silent; waiting for an answer and thinking of a way to somehow ease his feelings of uneasiness. Maybe she could just hug Minato. Hugs usually worked despite how awkward the approach would be. Did he say something about his "destiny"? Yui couldn't understand a single thing Minato was musing about; was that good or bad though? Perhaps she should gain a better understanding of what Minato was talking about, his background, and everything. He did seem pretty composed even after being informed about SAO's true nature, had he gone through something similar?

"Yes; it was really painful seeing them all suffer from trauma. I felt so guilty that I couldn't do anything about it even though my very purpose was to comfort them..." she admitted with an upset voice. "I was specifically designed to be like this so players could be at ease with me; as well as the ability to emulate human emotions."
Yui gave Minato a perplexed look, "I'm not sure, but to be on the safe side, I think it would be best if you do not test whether or not you are considered a player."
It was obvious that Minato wasn't meant to be here, as stated earlier, but she was greatly concerned of the matter that Minato didn't come here with the use of the NerveGear. If he could somehow wander into this game, then maybe others would be able to as well. "You didn't use a NerveGear... then, do you recall how you ambled into this game?"
Magic was nonexistent in both SAO and the real world; so childish theories of magical portals appearing in midst of cities and such were not valid reasoning. At least, not to Yui. SAO was a virtual reality cut off from human intervention, key word was virtual, so no one could just somehow walk from reality to a fabricated land like traveling from one city to another in the real world. The only known way to get into SAO was through the accursed NerveGear, or it was like that up until now. Minato's intervention made the statement above no longer fully true.
“D… Dear God… To think this much chaos is caused because of one game…”

This idea of letting a game kill off a person in real life as their avatar’s health depletes has never come across the mind of the Wild Card, not even when he played Innocent Sin ONLINE before. Just that surreal idea is making him think of how many people would use the very advancement of technology for dastardly deeds like this. Of course, after hearing Yui’s very detailed disclosure, he knew for sure he’s in a completely different setting than he’s usually used to; one virtual world, that is. More importantly, how the frick did I travel ten years into the future, landing in a Virtual Reality MMORPG of all places!? I thought I couldn’t time travel!
Usually, one would sit comfortable for countless hours in front of their computers as they control their created characters with a simple hit of a button on the keyboard, activating special skills that can never be replicated in the real world, and interacting with people you’ve never dreamed of meeting from different far away locations. But this Kayaba Akihiko, the culprit and creator of this game… Sword Art Online… Why would he decide to turn a video game adored by the masses into a mental massacre? A Virtual Reality MMORPG can be pretty much considered as the ultimate wish of a gamer; a chance to experience the game as if you yourself are in the world made of pixels and data, and with the technology that has been upgraded for a decade forward it was made possible. But why? Why do this? For what purpose did he turn SAO into a death game, leaving out both the log out feature from the NerveGear, and all means of revival in-game? This Kayaba Akihiko guy must have a motive… I mean, who else other than people with evil intentions would lock 10,000 innocent players in a game that could kill them?
And then, there’s the action that’s present in all multi-player games and detested by every professional gamer. “Player Killing…”

“Hmmm… Looks like my destiny wasn’t enough to appease malice within hearts of mankind, even if they got themselves stuck within this kind of predicament…” The Universe Arcana mumbled to himself, clearly distraught that his sacrifice over a decade ago wasn’t enough to erase the darkness within people. But then again, the mental state of the trapped was to be considered. Sometimes, the mind will matter more than the heart… To say at the least, SAO was a survival of the fittest; it’s either you kill or be killed. Some online gamers are very envious by the earned equipment from people who’ve earned it with battle-weary blades and all, and they kill said people to unceremoniously steal the items. There would be probably some who doesn’t believe about this whole charade, and kills just for the sadistic heck of it. I wouldn’t even dare try PK-ing in this world. I saved the real world once; why should I kill someone when I probably saved him or her a decade ago?

“So you’re like an NPC run by Artificial Intelligence, huh?” The Universe Arcana turned his gaze back at Yui, letting one of his hands briefly and gently rustle her raven-black hair. “You’ve been monitoring the players here since the game started, huh? Must be tough seeing hundreds of people die…” His tone hushed in sympathy, clearly feeling what she has gone through with similar pain. If she kept watch of the mental psyche to prevent any suicidal deaths, Minato had to save people from Shadows in a previously-existent hidden hour, just to prevent any and all kinds of casualties that can cause quite a ruckus; eventually peaking at becoming the Great Seal to keep watch over the world and to prevent Human Malice from calling Ultimate Destruction. “And you don’t like that much of a program to me… You look like an innocent child who is also trapped in here…”
He then gazed upwards above his head, to where his cursor is supposed to be if he is an official player of Sword Art Online, glancing once in a while at something peculiar on the upper-left corner of his view. I should keep silent about what could possibly be my HP here… She doesn’t know that I’m seeing it right now. “Do you think that the Cardinal System is beginning to register me right now as a player? Or am I going to be kicked out? I mean, I didn’t come here through the use of the NerveGear…” Another heavy sigh was added to Minato’s big repertoire of yawns and such, as he hoped that Yui would know or not if he’s becoming an official player of the cursed death game, Sword Art Online.

Yui thought for a moment at her papa's question. Where did she want to go? She had no idea. All she wanted to do was to play at the moment so the location of the activity had escaped her brain. Maybe they could play back at home? It was a safe location from ambushes and everything after all!

"How 'booout... at home?" she suggested, "Yui can brush papa's hair and add some pizzazz~!"
For probably no valid reason, the girl had emphasized the last word of her sentence. As of now, the only thing she's thinking of is how she would "add some pizzazz" to her papa's hair. Ribbons and glitter? Oh wait, glitter is nonexistent in SAO. Perhaps paint made of crushed berries could be an okay substitute.
Seeing her upbeat— it calmed him. Kirito’s mood had been dragging pretty recently; at night he couldn’t help but envisage his future. Not of the real world, but of his life in Aincrad. Sometimes it worried him how attached he had been, but seeing smiles like Yui’s made him forget. “All right, Yui. Where do you want Papa to take you?” He asked cheerfully, picking her up from the floor.
