We served up some of these Cilantro Jalapeño Moscow Mules yesterday at a charity event called Hell on the Hill. Amazing day surrounded by very inspiring people, many of whom ran 80 yards at a 35% incline....100 times!!! (Works out to over 8 miles, all for charity.) One of the specialty drinks we did was a watermelon mint martini with fresh fruit from Halas Farm and the host's garden. Aptly named The Recovery. Very inspired by the hosts of this event, they are amazing people.

Today we tested a holiday cocktail called a Rompope. It took some time to get right; however, the finished product was perfect for this time of year. The milk, cinnamon, egg yolk, vanilla, almonds, lemon rind and sugar paired exceptionally well with rum – we used Appleton Estate – to create an experience that by far transcends your every day eggnog. Also, this drink dates back to the 17th century in Puebla, Mexico... It seems meaningful that people were drinking this hundreds of years ago, and here we are drinking it on this (somewhat) cold December night! This is a great drink selection for a small gathering, served out of a communal punch bowl. www.artofpour.com.

We really like this Pumpkin Martini recipe and thought we'd pass it along:
2.5 oz Crop Organic Spiced Pumpkin Vodka 2.0 oz milk or half & half 0.5 oz vanilla cane syrup
For the vanilla cane syrup, boil a 1:1 ratio of sugar and water with 4 vanilla beans. Let cool. Add all ingredients to a rocks glass with a large ice cube (this also works well in an old fashioned champagne coupe) and dust with nutmeg and cinnamon. Garnish with a vanilla bean and enjoy this amazing - and simple - seasonal cocktail! www.artofpour.com

The 10-year anniversary party at Desires by Mikolay was an elegant celebration that we were honored to be a part of! We created a signature cocktail for owners Tara and Scott called The Pink Star (named after the famed Steinmetz Pink diamond), and debuted it at their event.
The drink features organic cucumber vodka, apricot liquor, Aperol, fresh-squeezed lemon juice, grapefruit bitters and a splash of Santa Margarita Prosecco.
If you're ever in Chappaqua, NY, be sure to stop into this amazing full-service jewelry store to pick up something special. (http://www.desiresbymikolay.com/).

We wanted to post one last winter cocktail before our minds turn to spring! This indulgent concoction is sure to warm up guests; it features Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey and just the right amount of pure Vermont maple syrup. It's garnished with chocolate-covered smoked bacon dusted with Himalayan sea salt. Mobile mixology by Art of Pour.

We thought we'd share some kind words from an amazing client of ours in Bedford, NY. www.artofpour.com
"We used Art of Pour for cocktail service at our store launch party. From the initial consultation through execution of the event everything was flawless. Alex is a genius and came up with the perfect cocktails to embody our signature 'Dark Horse' and 'White Horse' cocktail concept. Brad was exceptionally professional behind the bar and our guests loved interacting with him. Throughout our dealing, the communication and client service was outstanding. It is my pleasure to recommend Art of Pour for your next event."

Art of Pour now carries DeLeón's flagship tequila Leóna - which we added to our rare label service in the Tequila category.Showcasing this bottle alongside our specialty cocktails will surely give guests something to talk about.
Aroma: Ripe fruit with rich caramel undertones
Taste: Full-bodied and elegant with caramelized cherries, crème brûlée, and layered spice with hints of exotic cinnamon
Finish: A velvety smooth vanilla finish tapering off with rich caramelized-oak and warm spice

Art of Pour was just mentioned in The Record-Review, the official newspaper for Bedford and Pound Ridge, New York. We helped RIDE, a new equestrian shop in Bedford, celebrate the launch of their new store in style. Here's the article (apologies for the blurry image!)

2014, An Exciting Year for Art of Pour
2014 has been an exciting year for Art of Pour! As this is our initial blog, we’ll start with some background on the company. Art of Pour was originally founded in 2011 to solve a problem we have all experienced – mediocre cocktails at private parties, weddings, corporate events, fundraisers and other social gatherings. The common practice is having a folding table covered with a white tablecloth, upon which rests a limited selection of wine and basic spirits. Sadly, the cocktails at many of these events are rather dreadful. They are often overly sweet or made by an inexperienced hand, resulting in unbalanced flavors that disappoint. Art of Pour’s mission is to reinvent the beverage service at these events and introduce artisanal cocktails – handcrafted by expert mixologists – to guests in the New York Tri-State area.
It took three years of planning to provide a world-class cocktail lounge experience in any location. Happily, this year, the year of our launch, has been extremely busy. Noteworthy events include a charity fundraiser on Candlewood lake in CT, and a small business promotional launch for RIDE, an equestrian store in Bedford, NY.
At this time, available dates are booking up quickly, so if you plan on hosting an event and want to provide guests with the best experience possible, contact Art of Pour by sending a communication through our website, www.artofpour.com. We presently serve New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.
Our bar is 100% configurable to meet your space requirements, and it can be set up anywhere, inside or out. Picture the possibilities for your next event!
