Feyre/Rhysand Playlist (with bonus tracks)

Hi there @emikadreams ! Here is your playlist for the @acotargiftexchange, getting in *right* under the wire.  I hope you like it - I do feel like I owe you a fic (a fic was my original intention), but my brain just completely emptied out over the past few weeks.  The next time the writing bug hits, though, it’ll be for you!

A few things about this playlist:

The main twelve tracks in the playlist roughly go along with the timeline of Feyre and Rhysand’s relationship in the original ACOTAR trilogy.

Below, you can find quotes from each song along with their orientations within the trilogy and quotes from the books (except for ACOTAR, because I don’t actually own that one so I couldn’t look them up).

There are bonus tracks for other songs that just feel very right for various ACOTAR relationships.

Fun fact: Track Eight (”Set Fire to the Third Bar”) is the first ever song that I heard where I was like, oh, obviously this is about Feyre and Rhysand.

Oooh these are VERY good questions.

1. Fave acotar book is ACOSF, with ACOMAF a very close second.

2. Fave ship is probably Nesta/Cassian, with Azriel/Gwyn and Feyre/Rhys tied for second and Elain/Lucien a very close third. (Mor/Emerie will probably get there once I actually see them interact.). I'm also a huge sucker for the whole romance of friendship thing, so Bat Boys, Valkyries, and Archeron sisters are all A+ dynamics for me (and honestly, I would be delighted with any of them in any fic).

3. Fave trope - hmm. I like some basic romance, especially hurt/comfort, eventually-fulfilled-yearning (one bed, amirite?), and seeing-the-couple-through-the-eyes-of-others. I'm always into the "all of these idiots share one brain cell" friendship OR romantic ships. One of the fic tropes I really love is "dude realizes how amazing the generally-underestimated girl is," but that's almost unnecessary in SJM fic because she always includes it in the actual books - so I guess that would be more applicable for Azriel/Gwyn.

4. Fave Court in Prythain - this is hard! For weather and scenery, Autumn. For tinkering and cleverness, Dawn. For Velaris, the Night Court.

5. This is also hard! Umm. Amren, Cassiel, and Azriel, but just to be a fly on that wall for the relentless mockery.
