* JACKSON WANG, the twisted prodigy
( please accept the friend request within 48 hours )
DOB march 28, 1997 YEAR sophomore, visual arts studies major & philosophy minor HOUSING gukwa, double / 102 EXTRACURRICULAR orchestra - first seat trumpet SUBPLOT truth seeker - follower CANON wang
VICES snobbish & aloof VIRTUES disciplined & funny
W I T H I N
Jackson is an arts prodigy and he is fully aware of it, leading many to believe he is self centered. He lets people believe he is self centered and rude simply because he does not care what others think of him. What others may say about him have no affect on his ego, this could be because he doesn't care but most just believe it's because his ego is so large.
He fully believes in all things mysterious and beautiful, he would do anything for the arts. The arts are Jackson’s world, anything that would get in the way of that should be eradicated in his mind.
As a young boy Jackson was taught in almost every art form due to coming from a rich home, though he excelled in classical art. His biggest inspirations being Pieta and Raphael in his earlier years, he then moved to Hieronymus Bosch and Francis Bacon in his later years for their dark imagery.
The way Jackson receives inspiration for his art and composition is very unorthodox, some might even call it gruesome. His work is often showcased in many art galleries across the world, though not many are showcased due to most of his work being quite dark. Most of his painting in the galleries are from his younger years when his art still remained quite light and by the book.
Though being high strung when it comes to the arts, Jackson is completely carefree in all other matters and will likely be the first to joke about a situation. He’s also extremely self-aware of his self-centered appearance however, it doesn't bother him.
W I T H O U T
Jackson Wang is the only child of a long line of wealthy Hong Kong natives their main focus: art and discipline. It was only natural that Jackson had been born a classical arts prodigy, he practiced day in and day out with the finest instructors money could buy. One would think that the rigorous training his teachers set for him would annoy him, but it only made him flourish. He became a monster of the arts.
Soon there was nothing anyone could teach him that he didn’t already know. So, at age thirteen he took up the trumpet and he quickly excelled to the point where he was unmatched by all his peers. This was also the time when Jackson began realizing he was an unrivaled genius.
After years being surrounded by the arts, his own mind, and no love from his parents, his mind state began to warp. Jackson’s love for the arts began to move from adoration to obsession. His muses became more twisted and dark as years went by. Had he been more exposed to the outside world and had friends, perhaps he could have had a more normal mindscape. But for now he is unfiltered pure artistic creativity.
In hopes of having Jackson become more normal, his parents sent him to college much earlier than some others in hopes of him gaining friends and a more natural way of seeing things. Little did they know that this college would become his playground.
Though Jackson may come across a stuck up arts major, once getting of know him you’ll see he is quite a jokester he loves to mess around and have fun.

* WON JONGJIN, the puppet master
( please accept the friend request within 48 hours )
DOB may 1, 1987 PROFESSOR of philosophy HOUSING yeonkot, staff studio / 301 EXTRACURRICULAR wicca club staff advisor
VICES fanaticism & manipulative VIRTUES determination & patience
W I T H I N
Jongjin is very skilled in manipulating people and getting them to do as he wishes, bending their will with the use of clever and devious ways to control or influence somebody.
His beliefs in the existence of paranormal and supernatural are dreadfully high; they enthralled and captivated him ever since he was just a little boy. Some even believe he’s able to use magic.
Because of his determination, dedication and devotion, he’s able to solve even the hardest of riddles and even if takes him months or years, he’s patient enough not to mind at all.
Jongjin as a person is fairly secretive, not keen on sharing his life with others unless they’ve earned his trust. This is the reason why people think he has two faces, two sides while approaching people.
He can be stubborn and distant, taking on the mask of a cold-hearted prince, unless you’re one of the very few that are given the chance to get closer to him; meeting the Jongjin hidden under the mask.
W I T H O U T
A child captivated by a certain thing, a child that firmly believes, often grows up in a certain way influenced and shaped by these beliefs, isn’t that right? Outer factors influence kids the same way as parents and family do, if not even more. That’s precisely what made Jongjin into who and what he is right now, allowing him to reach heights others won’t even dream about.
People thought that his deep love and obsession with philosophy, astrology, nature and magic will fade over time as he matures and starts prioritizing other aspects of life; they were however horribly mistaken. His family, later his teachers and even professors realized that instead of focusing on ordinary day to day activities as everyone else, Jongjin put his interests and hobbies before everything else. However, no one really cared since his school results were excellent and no one had suspected any secondary objective behind Jongjin’s actions. Yet, there was countless of them. He believes that knowledge and intelligence has the answer to every question in the world and even beyond. That’s why he devoted every second of his life to study and research, mostly around the subjects of philosophy, astrology and nature. However, the young man delves even deeper than what an ordinary human knows about and studies arcane arts, witchcraft, spell chanting, even potion making.
Once his school years have ended, thanks to his excellent achievements Jongjin acquired his Ph.D title. The young man become a rather well known personality in the fields of philosophy over the years thanks to the number of extensive and extremely detailed books and works regarding various topics. It’s unheard of for someone so young, still under the age of thirty, to be so knowledgeable and insightful about philosophy, since it’s a study that requires decades to fully master.
Jongjin is a humble soul however, so he very easily resisted the corruption and impure effects of fame recognition. All he cares about are his studies and research but these past two years, there’s been something else. When he became the professor of philosophy at the Kinsan University, his views and perspectives widened quite a lot. He decided to teach and share some of his knowledge in hopes of people opening their eyes and obtaining a finer, greater and superior understanding for the life cycle they are all part of. Such a thing is hard to accomplish with mature people who have developed their own way of thinking or just adjusted their views to fit into the society, but students, those who have the power and potential to change things in the future, are the targets of his efforts. The ones he can captivate, shape and form, before the world has the chance to corrupt them.
There’s one last thing worth mentioning about Jongjin. It wouldn’t be him if there wasn’t a secondary, hidden, motive behind his decisions to teach at Kinsan. Of course he heard the rumors and stories about the unsolved mysteries tied to the university’s history, said to be caused by paranormal or supernatural phenomena.
He’s the Wicca Club’s staff adviser, because he had spent years and years learning and practicing it, so his knowledge is useful for the students that only recently began to get into it.
Jongjin feels and senses the mysterious vibes all over campus and beside his duties of a professor, he’s always buried in research and study, eager to find out everything there is to know about the prestigious university of Kinsan and it’s surroundings.

meet the brightest, loudest, and smallest person in the entire world
she’s the living embodiment of a sunflower, and tends to wear bright colors
wheein is absolutely in love with her cello, and creating music that brings a smile to people’s faces
heart of gold that just wants to be happy & make others happy
The Biggest Extrovert Ever ━ can and will get along with everyone

W I T H O U T
I. jung wheein is brought into the world with a loving mother that cannot stop looking into the beautiful eyes of her newborn child, and a gentle father that is afraid to hold his daughter in fear of breaking the delicate bones. she is raised as a tender flower, showered only in kindness and the warm affection only a parent can offer. like many other sprouts, those that are grown with dedication and showered with love begin to blossom with strong roots and beautiful petals. II. she is a thinker of tender thoughts. she is a thinker of fantastical thoughts. she is a thinker of wandering thoughts. a swirling mind of never ending activity, spreading an overwhelming buzz of childlike wonder with a smile that is not unlike the beams of sunshine reflecting off wild hair in the crisp air. her place is among the peculiar and the curious; singing a song of lilting laughter and glowing compassion that makes jung wheein truly her mother’s daughter. III. the first time she lays her eyes on a cello, wheein falls irrevocably in love with the smooth wood and artistically perfect curves. tiny hands reach out to pluck a string, and young ears hear a deep tone that brings a curl of the lips. she’s already in too deep. an obsession of sorts begins to grow; music is the only way for the sunshine child to truly translate a mind full of disorderly chaos into a beautiful melody for the world to hear ━ the world to understand. for the first time in her life, wheein doesn’t feel clamped inside the endless field of her thoughts, and she loves it. with the simple graceful shift of a bow on strings, a delicate tune flows from the instrument like a river; bringing a collection of beaming grins as the notes dance through the air. that, is what jung wheein strives for. IV. fingers fly across a wooden neck with the familiarity of an old lover, swaying along to the hidden beat. childish preschool melodies have morphed into complex minuets that require precise movements and the practiced technique that can only come from years of passion and ardor for the art of bringing music to life. the wispy sprout has grown to become a strong blossom, sporting the strangest color palette that somehow clashes in the best way possible. it’s a never-ending growth, always working to reach the sun in an impossible struggle; it is precisely the improbability of the task that brings a glimmer to her eyes. V. she’s never left the land of the bizarre, mind and body always in two places at once. jung wheein knows that the world is not what it seems; childhood friends still linger around her, drifting through the air with invisible faces and a faint scent of damp moss. the girl does not fear the unknown, she embraces it. curious eyes continue to wander, lips curling at the sensation of buzzing energy that her peers ignore. perhaps it is the curse of the foolish and naive, to see the best in anything ━ to disregard the hidden darkness lurking within proclaimed allies, and overlook creeping shadows to instead smile at the brightness that was placed there themselves. oh, what a curse indeed.

* ZHA LIHUA, the perfectionist
( please accept the friend request within 48 hours )
DOB december 27, 1983 PROFESSOR of architecture HOUSING off campus
VICES impatience & resentfulness VIRTUES compassion & orderliness
W I T H I N
As a rule, Lihua never lets anyone see her without make-up or dressed less than perfectly.
Does not believe in the supernatural but never dismisses a student’s beliefs, having had more than enough experience with what that feels like.
Tends to only give people a shallow insight in her life and enjoys that parts of her can remain a mystery.
Her biggest fear is becoming her mother. As a result, though she carries herself with confidence and pride, she is more than willing to lend an ear or a helping hand to anyone who might need it, especially if that person is younger than she is.
She only drinks wine. Most other alcoholic drinks do not taste good to her, and the last time she got drunk she ended up with an illegitimate daughter, so she absolutely refuses to have more than her limit.
W I T H O U T
The book was loud as it fell on the floor, breaking the concentrated silence that had settled in the living room. Changying sighed and shook her head.
“Again,” she ordered, not a single hint of emotion in her voice.
Obediently, Lihua knelt down to pick up the book, placed it on her head again, and continued walking around the room. She felt her mother’s eyes watching her every move, her every breath. If even a single hair was out of place, her mother would know. This time, the book didn’t fall, and Lihua finished her laps.
Changying stood up and gently picked the book off her ten-year-old daughter’s head. Her long fingers traced a line down Lihua’s cheek. “Well done, my flower.”
Lihua beamed with pride.
She felt the gaze of the businessmen as she poured them and her father more wine. Being watched wasn’t new; it was a social setting where everything she did could be judged. The comments they made - quiet, hushed ones, hidden behind hands and perverse grins - were new.
“She’s still a minor, right?” one of them murmured.
“Older than fourteen, though. Technically legal.”
The laughter that followed never left her memories.
“It is time you start thinking about your future, darling,” her mother said to her.
Lihua glanced up from her homework and set down her pen. “My future?”
“Your older brother has become a doctor, and your younger brother is expressing interest in taking over the company once your father retires.”
Confusion shadowed Lihua’s features. “Zhinu is twelve, mother.”
“And yet he is already doing more for your father than you are, my flower. I met with a consultant and with your current knowledge and grades, it is very possible for you to become successful studying law.”
Lihua thought of her dollhouses and the floor plan of her room where she’d pretend she was allowed to rearrange her things.
“May I have time to think about it?”
“You have until your eighteenth birthday.”
One month.
At 22, Lihua received the first email from her mother in almost a year. In it, Changying inquired about law school and how Lihua had been doing on her exams. The reply was forgotten as Lihua’s focus shifted to her architecture professor.
As the years went buy, she worked meticulously on distancing herself from her family. Angry phone calls, emails, letters, and texts all eventually left her life as she changed her contact details one by one. She knew, as she completed her Ph.D in Architecture, that her mother had given up on trying to find her. When she read online that Zhinu was to take over the company in a few years, she tucked that information away and left to teach a seminar.
Her last contact with her family was when she ran into her older brother on the street at the age of 30.
“I’m friends with the doctor you always go to,” he’d said, and even then she wasn’t able to read him. “I hear you have a daughter.”
Lihua promptly moved to South Korea, found herself a different doctor, and informed her ex lover that he was not, under any circumstances, allowed to let more information about their daughter slip out to her family. He wasn’t surprised and obeyed, and his wife supported him through it.
For the first time, Lihua truly felt that she could live a life away from her family and start anew, and the place she chose for herself was Kinsan University. She doesn’t let the students and their rumors distract her from the liberty she can finally feel.
