Iâm loving your style! I was wondering if I could request a reader with a too many thoughts in her million miles an hour brain, so sheâs always fidgeting or stimming, etc. but when the Saja Boys sing You Idol to her she just goes still, her inner monologue finally being manageable?
Which is the opposite of what the song was supposed to do. So the boys are very surprised, and then they just keep doing that when they notice it helps her later.
The Voice of a . . . Demon??â
1.6k words; Saja Boys x Reader Masterlist | Requests paused!
The Sajas' voices don't have the intended effect on you. Though somehow, this way is better.
A/N: Hi anon! Thank you so much. I hope this is to your liking! Enjoy!!

Jinuâ
Jinu was aware of your tendenciesâof course he was, he was always watching for you. He couldnât help it; sometimes, his eyes would flick up from what he was doingâreading, writing, thinking, just to see you.
And heâd just stare. Watch you play with Derpy and try to count all of her stripes. Watch you fidget with pen casings and paperclips and any other miscellaneous things you might find.
That day was no different; he was brainstorming the lyrics for Your Idol. You were milling about the room, fingers brushing along any trinket and piece you could find. The magpie watched you observe the various little items, some even that sheâd found herself. Derpy sat at Jinuâs feet, and the quiet noises of your inability to sit still faded into the background.
He hadnât noticed at first, starting to hum the tune. It was already established. Something sedative in nature, something enough to keep the fans in a daze. âYou know Iâm the only one whoâll love your sins . . .â
And you stopped. Because there was something about the way he sang sins that scratched your brain juuust right.
He repeated the phrase a few times just to get the next one correct, scribbling on the page that the lyrics were forming on. Jinu glanced at you again, surprised to find you already staring at him. Intently. Not doing anything, just . . . still, for once.
Normally you werenât paying him that much attention.
â. . . What? Should I change it??â
You shook your head, coming to sit on the floor next to him. Derpyâs tail flicked at your presence, and you pet the giant âcat.â âItâs . . . calming.â
â. . . Calming?? Itâs supposed to be hypnotizing,â Jinu raised a brow, a bit confused. You only shrugged.
âItâs more like it silences the irrelevant thoughts, and I can think clearly again.â
Jinu hummed, looking back down at the sheet. Interesting. He knew that the song was effective, but . . . in a different way than anticipated? At the same time, his goal was never to control you, so he supposed it worked out in his favor.
He couldnât help but smile as he went back to singing the song softly, even if he was past that part. The way your head rested against his knee was worth it, and there was something warm about seeing you relaxed for once.
Jinu was glad he could bring you some clarity, too.
Abbyâ
Sometimes, things were too much.
Not necessarily because anything was happeningâsometimes they just were. Sometimes, it was hard to focus on one thing because too many thought trains were rushing through your head, too congested and quick to really catch and hold on to one.
It was annoying.
Sometimes, you even get tired of hearing your own voice. Just from the fact that you couldnât keep a thought. Which is how you ended up face first on the cool kitchen table, fingers drumming against the surface as you waited for your food to get out of the oven.
The clock ticked annoyingly on the wall, and occasionally your eyes would flicker to the timer. You could hear the faint humming of the fridge from where you were. You felt a slight tick in your head.
Why did the little noise make you so irritable? It wouldnât be as bad if it were louder, but the little clicking of the clock, the buzz, the way your feet kicked and the slight clank as your arches hit the bars of the uncomfortable chair, it all just annoyed you.
They were just things, except it sounded more like nails on a chalkboard to you. Who even experienced that enough to make that a saying? Imagine your ear next to that. Even chalk on a board didnât sound nice. Especially when it screeched. You kind of missed sidewalk art. What were you even talking about anymore??
All of that seemed to disappear as Abby crossed the kitchen threshold, humming a song you hadnât heard yet. You zoned in on the flow of his words, your thoughts consolidating at the intoxicating way he sang âsanctuary.â
Woah.
Is he magical??
âWill you sing it again?â You asked, and he finally looked at you.
âFrom the beginning??â
âYes. Itâs nice.â
He didnât necessarily mind; Abby plucked the drink he was looking for out of the fridge and pulled out a chair next to you, repeating the lyricsâanother time after that at the expectant look on your face. You hummed, your eyes only closing as his words washed away the unnecessary thoughts cluttering your head.
âSometimes, I jump different thoughts like skipping stones,â You finally explained between cycles. âItâs helping to bridge the gap.â
Abby considered, a slow grin forming on his face. He only started singing the opening verse again for youâas many times as necessary.
Mysteryâ
Mystery understood you better than anyone; he could be pretty antsy himself. Not the loudness of thought, but the way little things could add up into something much larger, much more overwhelming. For example, heâd never forget coming back up to the surface.
His skin crawled just thinking about that nightmare.
All that just to reiterate: Mystery understood it. And he was incredibly aware of what made you tick, too. Good or bad. Because just like you seemed to notice and acknowledge little things about him that no one else really seemed to, he easily did the same for you.
So when he walked into your apartment and noticed you sprawled out along the couch, staring blankly at the ceiling, he knew just how he could help you.
Mystery didnât sing much outside of what was necessary, not that he had a problem with it. But as he leaned over the couch to disrupt your view with his hair and your thoughts with his voice, it didnât faze him. He even started from the beginning for you, watching you register him.
âKnow Iâm the only one right now, I will love you more when it all burns down,â he got to his part, before you interrupted him.
â. . . What are you doing??â
âSinging.â Your unimpressed look only amused him. Mystery moved to sit in front of you, tilting his head to the side. âDoesnât Your Idol help you?â
â. . . How do you even know that??â
Mystery didnât answer, his head lying against your arm. He just paid attention. âYou think too much.â
âItâs not exactly something I can help,â you frownedâluckily though, you had him and his weirdly captivating voice. A mystery, you supposed.
Badum-tss.
Romanceâ
Romance liked to hear himself talk.
Honestly, it was kind of because he hated the silence. That was just it, so when he heard himself sing? He could always be heard singing. If any Saja would spontaneously burst out into song, itâd be him. Which was fitting, since you did the same . . . match made in heaven, right? (Or hell).
So when Your Idol was finished being written and everyone was doing what they would with their parts, Romance sang it for you.
Only for it not to work? Which was fascinating, because . . . well, itâs not like he was intentionally trying to hypnotize you, but . . . you were just calm for once. Attention solely on him. No doodling, fidgeting, no spacing out, nada.
Huh.
âIt doesnât affect you? Besides the thought thing?â Romance probed your head curiously, and you only swatted at his hand. But then you decided you wanted it, so you took his wrist back.
âNot really,â you admitted, âit just . . . helps me think, I guess. I donât know, itâs like my mind isnât talking over itself when I hear it.â
Romance processed the words, his fingers tugging and carding through yours. âHmm. I mean, I guess thatâs just a diluted form of hypnosis. And probably the best outcome.â
You were content with taking that fact with a grain of salt.
â. . . I guess thatâs another reason weâre compatible,â Romance teased, and you rolled your eyes. Though, a smile did cross your face.
âDo you keep a list?â
âAnd if I did?â
âWeirdo.â
Romance only laughed, a slight grin tugging at his lips. He was always happy to sing for you, bonus points if it were useful. Besides, heâd do anything to bring a smile to your face.
Babyâ
To be honest? Not even lying, Baby set out with the intent to hypnotize you.
Well. Sort of.
He was just curious as to if it would work. Who better to test it on? Itâs not like he could go present it to the public. He was just finishing up, too, and you were always keeping him company when he was writing, anyway. So it began with chanting under his breath to the tune of the song as he added the final touches to the rap. Quiet, more for the rhyme than the emotion in the lyrics.
He only noticed you stop fidgeting with his stuff at first, but as he continued he heard you . . . humming?? You were mimicking him?
Baby listened harder, and came to the conclusion that yes, you were copying him. Which meant that he couldnât really mess with you using Your Idolâyou were capable of thought. Not catatonic.
So it didnât really stop you from thinking, instead making you focus on that one thing. Which, to be fair, was an accomplishment in itself. âFocusâ and âyouâ were not typically found in the same sentenceâand there was nothing wrong with that.
Baby didnât mention it past that, nor the fact that he was trying to test the effectiveness of the song. But you could hear the smile in his voice as he repeated the verses a few extra times for you.
                           âąââ°
A/N: I'm about to be busy guysđ I'm still going to make an effort to post around once a day though! Where there's a will, there's a way. Anyways, see you soon!

Really hate how much time I am being forced to spend begging everyone around me to call their elected officials so I can maybe keep my job + so my lab wonât be shut down in October + so my entire professional network wonât be laid off + so the Great Lakes wonât go back to being a poisoned dead zone of industrial sludge/dead fish/toxic algal blooms. I would rather be spending all this time doing actual, you know, science, rather than pleading for people to make phone calls to try to stop the deliberate strangulation of environmental research across this damn country. Itâs humiliating! Itâs nightmarish! And yet here we are!
Anyway, I am once again asking you to call your reps if you care about accurate life-saving weather forecasts, clean drinking water, having fish you can eat, climate change, and more, because the people who work on these issues â including me and my peers â cannot survive this without your help.

â ď¸â ď¸HELLO! WERE MAKING A âMAGICAL GIRLâ INDIE SERIES AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!
My name is Kenzy and Iâm creating an indie series called âTowards Galaxyâs Endâ
SYNOPSIS
After saving her friend in a car crash, Amina âAmiâ is given a second chance at life - so long as she chooses an extinct species. She becomes a space-vampire and upon finding out 6 other girls made the same choice, sets off to form a magical girl team from something that was never meant to be magical at all.
â¤ď¸â¤ď¸IF YOURE A FAN OF LITTLE WITCH ACADEMIA, OWL HOUSE, PRECURE, AND MADOKA, THIS IS YOUR SCENE
The story is a strange take on the Magical Girl genre, as we come to learn more about these characters and how they got into this predicament. We get to meet a colorful cast from all walks of life, who are met with the chance of choosing what to do with their new found second chance. The energy will be similar to that of Studio Trigger in terms of the upbeat nature and Kyoto Ani for the heart. Choices are the true theme of this story, so itâs important to see how that plays out.
âââââââââââââ
CAST
As of right now, we have 51 days to make this happen! Our team consists of artists and voice actors that have worked in anime, like AJ Beckles (The voice of Okarun from DanDaDan), Zeno Robinson (Hawks from MHA, Hunter from The Owl House), Emi Lo ( Mao-Mao from Apothecary Diaries), LaKira Porter ( Animation Station) and plenty of other talented actors/actresses!
We also have a stacked lineup of animators that worked at Mappa, Disney, DreamWorks, OLM, Science Saru, and plenty of other So if you want to see what we come up with, please, help us reach our episode 1 goal! (And perhaps we can also make it to episode 2!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHARE!

Writeblr Family Feud - aka Writeblr Wrassle
Writeblr Family Feud, aka Writeblr Wrassle in the works.
11 out of the 15-20 questions I want to brainstorm have been thought up of.
I'll think of the last bit, create a freeform form on google docs and then post it.
If you could, if you're at all interested in either being a "contestant" or being part of the survey, can you reblog this or send me an ask and let me know?
I don't want contestants to take part in the survey just because I feel like it would give an unfair advantage but would also just love to see how many people would want to play. Especially since this is gonna take a bit of work to set up. đ
Thanks!

Another reason that the Saja Boys being portrayed as a villainous but strong/close knit group of friends would've been neat is that it would go against what Rumi says early in the movie:
Rumi: Feel? Youâre a demon. Demons donât feel anything.
And then, we get to see more of the demon side of things (and not just Jinu's side... which is what I thought the movie was going to do) where the boys all care about each other and FEEL actual positive feelings about each other and support each other and act like real friends just like the main girls of huntrix do. And not just that, but they also support each other through the fact that they are all kind of messed up one way or another (these boys also need backstories, not just Jinu).
Also them paralleling the Huntrix's friendship: friendship forged in a shared sense of suffering vs. friendship forged in a shared sense of duty. And both becoming actual genuine friendships.

The reality of being Indigenous in so called Canada
⢠Indigenous women and girls make up 50% of human trafficking victims, while only making up about 2% of the population.š
â˘If the territory of Nunavut was an independent country it would have the highest suicide rate in the world (135 per 100,000, which is 10x the canadian average)²
â˘Despite Calgary having a fairly low crime rate the Calgary Police kill more people than any other police force in Canada. In 2018 CPS killed more people than the police forces of Winnipeg, Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto and Edmonton combined. ASIRT, the provincial police watchdog, has never charged an officer for these murders. If you control for population, the rate of civilians killed in Calgary by police is 8 times higher than in New York City. Âł
â˘Between August 30th and December 14th 2024, 15 Indigenous people were killed by police in Canada. 15 people in under 4 months. Because Canada does not collect data on victims of police violence it's difficult to know exact numbers, but it's estimated that Indigenous people make up 16% of police killings, while only making up 4.1% of the population. Indigenous people are killed by police at a rate 10x higher than white canadians.â´
â˘28% of people federally incarcerated are Indigenous. This number is as high as 40% in women's prisons. Indigenous women are incarcerated at a rate 12.5x higher than non Indigenous women. âľ
â˘29 reserves in Canada are under drinking water advisories. Some of these advisories have been in place for more than 25 years. âś
â˘53.8% of kids in the foster care system are Indigenous. In the province I live in (Alberta) that number is more than 70%. âˇ
⢠7% of non Indigenous Canadian children live in poverty. 38% of Indigenous children in Canada live in poverty. âˇ
Canada is not America-lite. Canada is not America's polite northern neighbour. Canada has its own brutal colonial history, and sits on forcibly occupied Indigenous land.

while I would otherwise lean pro-nuclear power I also respect that the Indigenous peoples whose land I occupy do not want it here therefore I do not want it here.
New Mexico has a nickname, nuclear New Mexico- it's called a sacrifice zone. we have seen firsthand the environmental impacts of nuclear waste being treated improperly. the Indigenous peoples here and across the country have every right to oppose using their land (which, for the record, is all of the land) as a sacrifice zone.
