Lewin vs Yukio

Lewin asks Yukio one question.

"Was he scary?"

Meaning Todo.

An average 16-year-old boy might admit to being terrified, and rightly so. And if we replay the Impure King Arc, at times, Yukio was terrified. But Yukio doesn't admit to it. He promises to vanquish Todo the next time he sees him, acts braver than he is, and bottles up his true emotions. Lightning sees right through it.

Lightning knows Yukio is vulnerable, especially to demons and thus dangerous. His idea for the Mornath contract was a way for him to keep tabs on Yukio. In the grand scheme of things, he's much more dangerous than Rin.

Of course, Angel doesn't see it. Angel and Yukio deny feelings in the same manner. Yukio is a problem because he's crazy smart, and Angel isn't.

Lightning will keep a close eye on Yukio, and even though Angel is the Paladin, Lightning is in charge and running the show.

There was zero doubt about who was in charge of the executive exorcist table. But of course, the Grigori couldn't make Lightning a Paladin because Lightning is a maverick and collaborates with demons, thus making him untrustworthy like Mephisto.

Lightning is so powerful that he's almost a demon and can kill demons with the tip of his finger. Of course, like most demons, he must recharge afterwards with junk food and rest. Part of me always wonders if Azazel gifted him his demon heart.
