are you adelram or Charlie by chance? 👀
[OOC: Haha you caught me! This is Adelram! I haven't touched this blog in a while since I've been busy with AHC stuff (and I wanna redo the art on that one post first, that was from before I figured out how to draw Bishop smh.) But there are definitely a good few asks in the ol' inbox I intend to get around to sooner or later! Apologies for the wait!]

Are there any experiences that have particularly shaped your career with EPF?
The majority of my work is classified, and as these are visible to those of all clearance levels I cannot answer this with specifics. However, there are particular missions I would point to in terms of the knowledge gained from them. Most of these would have been from my early career, though there was a recent break-through achieved through the collection of some unique DNA samples that I consider significant, as well.
The most significant will have been from very early on. A mission I had a personal stake in, and EPF’s first event of capturing a live extraterrestrial for study. The amount of progress made through the capture and study of that subject was invigorating; it’s only a shame it died so soon into our disassembly. EPF’s science division now can keep a subject alive far longer, and it is in part due to what we learned from this one. That mission was affirmation that EPF was doing the right thing, and earned the branch much more credibility, at the time. How soon people forget, once the immediate threat is gone.
The job is dangerous, especially with field work like you’re enlisted for, but the right person will also find it rewarding. May you find the same.

What do you consider to be our standard level of threat from and by extraterrestrial sources?

[Video transcript:
I understand you’ve only recently joined our ranks, so if your enlistment officers did not properly explain to you, allow me to impart exactly the level of threat we deal with on a daily basis.
In this lab alone are numerous specimens you might expect to see on any given field mission. Mantisoids, a population of which was found killing members of a small rural town seemingly for fun. False Mimics, an amorphous race that collects the skin of the living and wears it as a cloak. I would hope that by now you are familiar with the threat the Triceratons pose. The list goes on.
And there are still worse out there, monsters that can blend far more effectively among us than these creatures, monsters that can and will bring our world to ruin if left unchecked. Monsters that will kill, or do worse. Extraterrestrials see us as weak, resources to be used, our planet as ripe for the taking. They are creatures incapable of reason or peace. Nobody deserves the agony and devastation they are capable of inflicting, and it is our duty to be the shield between that cruelty and the blissfully-ignorant civilians. This means you will have to face some of that horror, yourself, so you damn well better be ready, because earth can’t afford wavering protectors.
…To summarize. On a day-to-day basis you will always have the potential of facing down a world-ending threat, and until technology can catch up, assume we are always at risk of invasion. I expect you to be ready to handle this. Be prepared.

Hypothetically speaking of course, sir, what are the chances of and requirements for promotion?
EPF is a specialized military branch, but a military branch nonetheless. You’ll find the promotion system familiar, given you’ve made it to EPF’s ranks. You will be evaluated on your performance and leadership qualities using a point system. This is a job for your squad leader, specifically. We do have some vacancies among non-commissioned officers to fill, in fact.
You don’t qualify for one at the moment, by the way.

The purpose of this section is to field any further questions not addressed in the operative orientation. It is understood that there are many divisions of EPF and operatives may have questions about the on-goings of other divisions. EPF wishes to ensure all operatives and other employees are aware of the organization’s operations and are educated on the matters it handles. When submitting a ticket, please keep these in mind:
Do not send field reports or urgent inquiries. This portal is for questions and suggestions. Reports and emergencies have their own dedicated channels for contact.
This site is accessible to operatives and EPF employees of any rank. Answered tickets will be visible to all with access to this portal.
Do not send inappropriate or irrelevant subject matter. Tickets will have the operative’s ID number attached. Sending unprofessional inquiries are subject to investigation and/or consequences.
OOC notes:
Welcome to an ask blog for Agent Bishop of tmnt 2003 continuity! This is just a side project for fun, and may include drawings with answers! Depends on the mood. Bishop will assume any ask is coming from one of his employees, so he may be more candid and less overtly villainous. I hope you have fun!
Events are prepared for when we hit ask milestones (like, the first might be at 50 asks, something like that.) Big events will include alternate incarnations of Agent Bishop taking over the blog for a while. Look forward to those!
EPF OCs may occasionally be mentioned. If asks are signed with specific names, I will keep those “characters” in mind, as well.
Bishop is a secretive guy, so it might be hard to get answers out of him. Don’t be discouraged if he evades a question! He also might call out questions he doesn’t like, sorry about that.
Enjoy and have fun!
