That damn riddle

So have you guys ever seen the movie “Labyrinth”? Well there’s a riddle in there that is so dumb that I can’t believe I spent a good 2 hours trying to figure out the logic behind it. It’s the one where there’s two doors, one of them tells lies and the other tells the truth and you only get to ask one question to figure out who’s who. There’s a much easier solution to if though. I’ll show you. Imagine the squad (Al, Benji, and Max) in the same situation.

Benji: Oh I know! We’ll just ask them which one is the right door!

Al: It’s not that easy Benji. They’ll both just say they’re the correct door. We need to ask them something that they’ll answer differently.

Max: This is literally just a waste of time. We’ll just split up and each take a path.

Al: That’s still not wise. One of us could actually die from this situation.

Benji: Well then what question do we ask them!?

Al: It needs to be something along the lines of which one the OTHER would say is the right door.

Max: How will that help us?

Al: The door that tells the truth will say truthfully that the liar would say that the liar is the right door. Likewise, the liar will lie and say the truthful door will say the liar door is the right door.

Benji: You lost me at door.

Max: *rolls eyes and walks up to the doors*

Al: Regardless, the doors will both directly lead us to the liar, which will then prompt us to choose the other door to be the correct door. Plain and simple!

Max: *to the doors* Hey. My name is Max and I have a question for both of you. What’s my name?

<the doors look at each other.>

Door 1: Your name is Max.

Door 2: Your name is John.

Max: Alright, door 1 it is. *walks through the correct door.*

Al: ......*frustrated* OR WE COULD DO THAT TOO!

Benji: YAY! Thanks Max! ^^

Max: ...Right...so Benji does that, the rest of us don’t really give a shit...except maybe Melody.

Al: Yes, yes we do. *holds Melody’s hand*

Hey guys, figured I'd drop by after the recent events! Are you all happy with the reaction Al & Mel got at Bronycon recently? - TeFA

Al: I was smiling the whole time!

Max: They all looked like they were 4-year-olds watching Loony Tunes or something.

Benji: IT WAS AMAZING! EVERYONE LOVED IT AND THEY ALL LAUGHED AT THE JOKES AND THEY CLAPPED AND AH! THEY ALL WANNA SEE MORE!!!!

Al: One of Chloe’s friends actually captured the audiences reaction to the whole thing. She said she’ll post it later for all to see.

Mel: *jumping up and down excitedly*

You know, I kinda noticed something... I looked back on some of the old interactions between Allister and the community. He's certainly changed, and he's definitely gotten more... nicer? More approachable I guess... Less intimidating. I dunno, it was just a noticeable transition that was interesting to see.... how are you guys doing? Excited?? Because I am most definitely excited! ^^

Al: Have I?....Well I suppose it makes sense, especially with all the recent events. And yes of course! Who wouldn’t be excited?

Benji: I’M EXCITED! THIS IS GONNA BE A GREAT SERIES!!!

Max: I mean I guess. We gotta start the thing somewhere.

Mel: *claps happily* :D
