Oh this idea is so epic. Alright, here's my ask.

Victor couldn't bring back Eli after he died in the bathtub. How does he react?

Eli. Dead. It’s difficult to even picture, especially after all this time. Ha. To think that he could have been the one to fail in the end, and not me. I think I’d have found a sick sort of humor in it at first- Locklands star student killed for the sake of science. Would it even be perceived that way? Since I really was trying to revive him… would I have been seen a Hero? “Courageous student bravely attempts to rescue roommate from suicide attempt.” Hell, they’d likely have given me his research grant.

Would my life have been better? Easier?

The absence of Eli would be like losing a limb. Impossible to live without, almost as if I’d gained a critical flaw. Would he become merely a phantom to me? Something I learn to live without? An idea I once had- the concept of a rival, an equal, someone to challenge me on all parts.

No. I don’t think I’d have fared well with the knowledge that his heart stopped beneath my own trembling hands. A life without Eli… that’s no way to live for me. At least, not unless I’m the one to end it on purpose.

Victor, what's your favourite poet looking for recommendations

Well, that’s not a difficult question. When given the opportunity I can’t help but recommend my own work. Here are a few poems I’ve been working on recently. I think it’s a big improvement from my senior art thesis (albeit that went unfinished of course). In actual answer to your query, I read contemporary poetry mostly, the kind of thing that is as much art as it is words.

I’m always happy to put my work out there. Feel free to ask for more poetry whenever you like.
