what's ur favorite breed of dog?
Genuinely forgot about this.
I'd have to go with the turnspit dog. Pitiful little creatures, bred for a purpose that faded away. I have a whole folder of old artwork of them and to be honest, I feel like one some days.

Do you have a specific diet you need to follow? And also does changing forms hurt?
Nope, I could eat a whole rusty can and be mostly fine. No, changing forms doesn't hurt. Unless I have the bar earrings in but that's only sometimes.

What is the living abyss made of?
I haven't figured it out myself, but from what I can tell, the main ingredient is licorice tar and a kind of crystal powder I'm unsure of. My running theory is quartz as it's typically the easiest to pour magic into, but I'm unsure. Licorice allowed me to check exactly once because Pure Vanilla made Spider Lily make him. He's sort of my nephew but older than me so, complicated. Haven't seen sister enough to ask them, but I doubt all the voices would agree, they rarely ever agree.

How annoying are cookies to deal with? Also, as a shapeshifter, what challenges has that presented with cookie society?
Think a spoiled toddler in in adult body. That annoying. Most scholars I have this displeasure of talking to think they're the superior species and barely listen to me trying to ask them for actual sources, along with other stuff. Other species are a little nicer, especially if I take a form that looks like them, and stay out of the way. Unsurprisingly, the most information I've found of other species from cookies is from their cook books. Cookies seem to try and make a meal out of anything with a pulse, even creatures nearly fully made of magic.
To answer your second question, they hate me. I'm the LIving Abyss and the deceitful Shadow Milk's brother, of course they would. We're not related by blood but a majority of ingredients, but, still.

How is cream ferret doing?
Baba's doing good, they're probably fussing over my step dad at the moment. His fat ass was eating cake and crying over some hormone shit last time I was there.

Do any species give you trouble researching about them? If so what is the issue they present?
All of them. Half of cookie biology is murky and "lol you know how this works as a cookie yourself" and the other half is "we're better than everything else" while there's BARELY anything on any other creature.

Was the republic responsible for the Weredog program? And if so have they done similar or alternate programs with others?
Yep. Only one of it's kind because anyone who could do another program like that, with sentient creatures, actually have morals.

Are butter tigers maternal animals? If so would one adopt another species?
Not sure, I specialize in sentient species, like cookies, dragons, sugar gnomes, etc.

What are mermaid subspecies?
As far as I know, just the shallow water and deep water. Main difference is body size and gill size from what I've found.
Deep water mermaids tend to be larger, sometimes twice the size as their shallow water relatives, and their gills branch out more, think an axolotl.
Triforms share a lot more than you'd expect, werewolves and vampires also have gills, though they're small and won't do much other than give them about 15 minutes under water while completely still except breathing. They also glow in the dark! A lot of werewolves and vampires paint around the glowing marks during weddings. Learned that when my aunts got married and the whole party was a glowing, wet dog smelling dance party. I of course copied my baba's marks to fit in. I think mermaids just use it for identification where there's rarely light other than the sun, moon, or stars.

Are there any similar species that had to go through a specific thing like the weredogs?
The eugenics? If you mean any sentient species, no, if you mean any species, look at dogs.
And they're werewolves, or domestic werewolves, the word you used is considered an insult when not using it to refer to the Weredog program.

How do werewolves work?
Like you say cream ferret is a werewolf so are they not a ferret? Or is werewolf a term and not species?
Werewolves are a species, a subspecies of triform. There's three triforms, werewolves, vampires, and mermaids, all three have three forms, feral, cookie, and beastial.
My baba is a domestic werewolf, a slightly inbred( many, many generations ago) group of werewolves that the Republic kidnapped to pretty much fast track dog domestication with them.
Compared to swamp werewolves(Werehounds) or wild werewolves, domestic werewolves are smaller, fluffier, and look soft but are intensely territorial and protective of their family, to the point that wild werewolves fear them. Baba nearly tore someone limb from limb for flirting with me.
From what I've heard, the "Weredog" program was trying to make soft, protective nanny dogs pretty much, with the added benefit of them having enough intelligence to do chores and such, like an unpaid, full time babysitter and maid.
Many did go into childcare when they were finally freed, as they were eugenic'd into having a lot of maternal/paternal instincts, and that's the only field anyone trusted them in at first because the Republic government sending out notices of "yeah we did this we're "sorry" and they're great nannies".
They're only called Ferret because grandma is Fondue Ferret because she looked like one.

Which species have you found that is the hardest to kill and or autopsy? if you do that stuff
I don't do that.
I have, however, been on hunts with my brother's boyfriend and the group of cannibals who actually gave me a lot of info on cookies, to the point that some of the stuff they know isn't in typical records, and I find it strange but actually kind of expected for that group.
Anyway.
Apparently stormbeasts are the hardest to deal with as their hands and legs are attached to their main body with magic, and that magic also hides the vitals of the body, from what I've heard.

What creature’s biology is your favourite to study?
For me it’s those insect like cookies!
Probably not the most ‘ethical to pin them to a board like actual bugs but who cares!
Not like my friends know anyway, I don’t wanna scare more people off -m-
Anyway is there also a creature you hate studying?
I like studying dragons, they're related to wyverns, their cousins that have less magic, but the biggest differences is the types, which act more akin to dog breeds in that the amount of genes that control each feature is actually a lot less than you'd assume. They're actually mostly natural species, only recently did they all come together to pool magic and change themselves, making them all hermaphrodites to make sure the species lived on even with too many males as they had at the time.
On to the "breeds"!
Serpentine, which tend to be the largest, they don't have wings or back legs for some odd reason. Primarily carnivorous, but will eat other stuff. They can be as long as a kingdom is wide if they're old enough.
Swimmers, which, as the name implies, are aquatic, and have two back fins, and, from what I've found, the smaller pair doesn't change when they shift to half or Cookie forms! Mostly pecscatarian, but will eat more land creatures as available. They can get as big as whales!
Fourwings are actually herbivorous! They're midsized, a little over 4 stories tall, typically, and, as the name implies, have four wings.
Fire dragons live in deserts and sometimes Jungle's if they can live with the heat and are omnivorous, but lean on sweet fruits! They're 2-3 stories tall.
Mini dragons are feral little shits and I hate them. They eat dead stuff and have pouches that their young sits in after they've managed to push out 4-10 massive fucking eggs that should NOT be able to fit in their tiny cookie sized bodies.
Cattle dragons are a mixed group of the other "breeds" that have adapted to having their "quarter" form be their natural form, they're like centaurs! They're about one and a half times taller than regular cookies, and this happened because of animal husbandry!!
Also! Dragon bodies sort of "lock" in a certain form to protect any dragonets they have about 4 months before the eggs are laid, and whatever form they're in is the form the kids will hatch as! So, a cattle dragon in their "full form" when the eggs are laid will have dragonets that hatch in their "full form" but the offspring will likely prefer their quarter form!
I hate studying my own species.

Why do you study cookies? They’re just piles of wasted dough that could’ve been made into something tastier!!
Also what do they taste like? I always wanted to know!
I like biology, I don't know. I've never tasted cookie but I'm told they taste like boar but soaked in pure magic for a couple hours. At least when not cooked. When cooking, magic dissipates from a body faster, akin to alcohol burning away in meals.
I'm friends with a group of cannibal cookies and half cookies!

Researching is so difficult, Cacaoian is so difficult, I grew up with Flowering and a bit of Nautical, nothing like Cacaoian.
I'm trying to learn it but there's so many harsh sounds and my snowfall teacher insists I have to learn to speak, read, and write it in that order. At least I have probably forever to learn.
I think Mystic knows some I might ask her when I go over next.
Anyway, I'm learning Cacaoian to try and translate whatever surviving scrolls about themselves or other creatures they have. Specifically of the stormbeasts, what they call elkdogs, or death's helpers. Very intresting.

Can you please elaborate on watching someone have their guts ripped out????
Also did you like…eat them? Orr no?
Oh gods no, I didn't eat them. One of my brother's boyfriends did, I'm not saying which one, but it's not the one you'd expect.
And yeah, I watched a cookie get torn apart, I was about 16 and they were hitting on me.
