[ [ The blog has been remade for the sake of hitting RESET on the follower count. Same URL, same backstory, same everything -- just resetting the counters.

Having nearly 4.5k followers was fun. It really, really was. But that number is a little daunting for someone like me. It’s only been a day since I remade, but my stress levels have already gone way, way down. I feel like I can do what I want, without worrying about the possible repercussions of something being taken the wrong way on a major scale, or accidentally “siccing the hounds” on someone, or overwhelming someone just by liking their post.

I don’t have time for long threads. I don’t have time to draw. I don’t have time to keep up with everyone. I don’t even have time for movie nights, with my work schedule. But more notably, I can’t deal with looking at that number and having that immediate thought of “am I doing enough?”

I constantly felt like I had to be doing something to keep everyone’s attention. It’s the same thing I felt back when I ran another popular blog. And it’s an absolutely awful feeling, even if I know a lot of the people that follow me aren’t expecting my constant attempts at entertainment.

(Or, really, that a lot of them are inactive blogs, but that’s besides the point.)

I would rather be back in the hundreds than deal with the feelings of inadequacy. Not to say that blogs with only a few hundred (or less!) followers are lesser than me in any way, no-- I envy you. I always have.

I just don’t want to be seen as someone’s “senpai” or whatever. I don’t want to be on that pedestal anymore.

I just want to go back to how things used to be. Like when Flowey was still around, when things were small and I could just.. talk to people. Do little plots. Have fun.

And this is the only way I feel like I can really do it. ] ]
