The Downfall
WARNING!!! This story contains mentions of r*** and abuse, threats of violence, body harm/agony, and sickness. The sickness gets pretty bad in my opinion-
You have been warned.
Reflex felt fucking terrible.
His body ached all over, and his stomach felt even worse. It was probably due to the constant fear and anxiousness he felt. He had never in his life felt so terrible.
Reflex was in too much pain to stand, but also too much pain to sit down. So, he paced Baldi’s classroom, hoping to relive some of his pain. He knew he needed rest for at least 2 weeks, and loads of his medication, but Baldi wouldn’t let him rest. He always wanted something from him, weather that was hugging him close to his chest (A bit too tightly for Reflex’s state), or…More than that…
Yesterday, he was forced home with Baldi. Baldi showed no kind of remorse or mercy, even though Reflex had begged him to stop and let him rest. He hated this so much…All he wanted to do was go home and never look back at his work ever again. But, he knew if he did, Baldi would “make his life not worth living anymore”. Whatever that meant, Reflex didn’t want to find out…
If it was more than Baldi was doing right now, he didn’t want to fuck up.
Reflex, who was pacing in front of Baldi’s desk, kept his blue gaze fixed on the ground, gripping his sides in pain. Every time he would slow down, or whimper in pain, Baldi looked up from his work, giving him a glare.
The nurse couldn’t think about anything else than his co-worker’s angry red glare as he was forced against the soft fabric of the bed.
Reflex’s body gave a strange shudder. His vision blurred, and he almost fell to the ground. A gurgling sound rose in his throat.
Oh shit.
He was gonna be sick.
Ignoring Baldi’s command to stop, Reflex darted out of the room as fast as he could manage. His body began to convulse, but thankfully, he made it to the bathroom in time.
The world around him began to grow dark, and his body’s convulses grew more violent as his jaws opened. Agony rippled across his stomach as he threw up, his face shoved into the toilet. He gripped the sides of the toilet, trembling and shaking. He coughed and gasped after his body stopped.
Tears welled up in his eyes. He felt like he was going to pass out from how much pain he was in.
His body started spasming again. Reflex opened his mouth again, but nothing came out but a small bit of bile. It stopped, and he gasped in sick air. He collapsed on the floor, unable to even sit. He closed his eyes, trying to calm down, but he was shaking so hard…
“Dr. Reflex? Hello?”
Reflex barely heard the soft voice. It sounded so far away…
“Oh my goodness!! What happened?!” Mrs. Pomp’s voice of shock.
Reflex felt gentle hands wrap around his small trembling body. He let the warmth envelop him. What else could he do? He was too weak to speak, or even make a small sound. Mrs. Pomp rubbed his back gently. Reflex relaxed against her bigger body, and for the first time in the past 3 days, he felt safe again.
“Don’t worry Reflex,” the high heel whispered to him. “I’ll take care of you. We’ll make sure Baldi will never touch you ever again. I’ll take you home and get you rested up…”
That sounded nice…
But even though Reflex completely trusted her, he couldn’t help but fear what would happen. Would someone else take advantage of his weakness at her house? Her? Her husband?
Dazed, Reflex could do nothing but slowly nod. Mrs. Pomp was the only person who could help him…Because everyone, including Baldi, feared her.
His thoughts blurred and danced in his mind. The dark, that pressed at the edges of his vision, overwhelmed him. The last thing he remembered was the soft arms of Mrs. Pomp gently picking him up and carrying him…Somewhere…

hey null
do you mind me asking... how you even got here?
“Your Questions have been answered. Please enjoy.“ -Unknown
Tw: Violence, fighting, yelling, mentions of abuse, death, death threats, death wish.
The room was dark around Baldi and Dsci, only being illuminated by the soft flashes of the tv in front of them. Baldi felt calm for the first time that week. It had been stressful. All of his students really seemed to get more and more obnoxious everyday. Friday night though, Baldi’s mother invited him to visit. At first, he didn’t have the energy or will to face his family, but now. Sitting on the couch and talking with his older brother made his heart warm a little. He was also grateful that Badsum wasn’t there too…
“Baldi,” Dsci said quietly, breaking the comfortable silence between them. “I don’t mean to pry but…Sometimes it feels like you really only talk to me. Like seriously I mean.”
The math teacher glanced at his brother, before looking back at the TV. “You read me well,” He chuckled lightly.
“I’m sure you work with people that would love to help you Baldi,” Dsci reasoned, resting his hand on his shoulder.
Baldi pulled away from his grasp with a sigh. He knew there were people out there to help him with his problems, but he was too much of a cowered to admit to anyone what he has done…Perhaps this was just something he was meant to carry alone. “They wouldn’t understand.”
Dsci rested his hand against the couch again. “You’re living in a darkness you created yourself. Why don’t you ask someone to pull you out?”
“Because I don’t want anyone to ‘pull me out’,” Baldi retorted, giving his brother a sharp look. “It isn’t that simple.”
“Baldi, stop feeling sorry for yourself and do something! You won’t get anywhere moping around and crying about how bad your life is!”
The math teacher stared at him. A spark of anger shot through his body. “You need to stop acting like you know what it’s like.”
“You’re right,” Dsci admitted. “But you need someone to tell you this. If not me, then someone like Micah, or Badsum.”
Baldi growled to himself, but he didn’t respond. He brought his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around them. Dsci didn’t say anything more, seeming to get the hint that his brother didn’t want to talk anymore. They sat in silence again, but this time, it felt more tense.Baldi suddenly didn’t want to be here anymore. He focused his attention on the silly cartoon on the TV. He wasn’t actually watching it, but he didn’t want to catch his older brothers eye.
The body of water jerked his head up. He caught the faint sound of something Crackling… His nose twitched, picking up the smell of something burning. His heart skipped a beat. Something was on fire. He turned to his brother, but he also seemed to pick up the sound.
Baldi jumped up and raced toward where he thought the fire was.
“WAIT!” Dsci called after him. The math teacher ignored him. He needed to find the source of the fire.
He ran through the house, toward the kitchen. That was the most probable place. But when he reached the opening into the kitchen, the countertops and stove looked untouched. He darted back down the hallway. If it wasn’t in the kitchen, then this must be something serious.
Baldi skidded sharply to a halt. He had almost crashed into his brother, Badsum, coming out of his room.
“What the hell is going on???”
“Fire! Someone set the house on fire!” Baldi panted. Badsum’s large black eyes widened in surprise. “You go find dad, I’ll get mom.” Without another word, he dodged around him and raced into his mother’s room.
Baldi froze, so abruptly that he almost fell on his face. He stared down at the unmoving shape at his feet. “No…”
On the floor of his mother’s bedroom was herself, laying in a dark pool of her blood. It drained from the large slash on her back and throat. Her eyes were stretched wide in the last emotion she would ever feel again. Her body was soaked in her own blood, and the smell that filled the room made Baldi gag.
“How did this happen…”
Baldi was so stunned and shaken he barely knew where he was anymore. All he could see was her cold, stiff body. Baldi started to cough. He looked up to see smoke filling the room.
He backed away from his mother’s body and looked at the doorway. He hated to do this, but what choice did he have. He turned and sprinted away from the room and to the entrance of thehouse. He burst into the cold air. He didn’t realize how hot it had gotten indoors.
A jolt of regret shot through Baldi. Why did he leave his mother alone in the blazing fire?
“Baldi! You’re safe!”
Baldi turned slowly at the sound of Dsci’s hopeful voice. He saw both of his brothers, and standing behind them was Micah, their father. At the look on Baldi’s face, they seemed to grow concerned.
“Baldi…Where’s Mom…?” Badsum asked in a slow voice.
The image of her body played before Baldi’s eyes, but he thrusted it sharply away. He couldn’t have saved her…She was already cold…
The math teacher took a deep breath to steady his voice. “She…I found…She…Was killed…”
Both of them stared at him like he had just asked them if they could fly.
“Where is she…?” Dsci asked quietly.
Baldi turned to look back at the house. Smoke was billowing out from the front door. That was answer enough. He didn’t expect his older brother to punch him in the face. He yelped and jumped back in surprise.
“YOU LEFT HER IN THE HOUSE?? TO BURN?? WHAT IF SHE WAS STILL ALIVE??” Badsum snarled at him, the anger clear on his face. “AND EVEN IF SHE WASN’T, YOU LEFT HER BODY IN THERE TO BURN!!”
“Badsum- I-”
“This is the last straw Baldimore. I’ve HAD IT with you and your stupid fucking excuses!” He interrupted his younger brother.
He turned sharply and stomped back to his twin and his father. He tugged Dsci away from the burning house, grumbling under his breath. Micah gazed at him silently, his gaze as cold as it had always been. He turned, and followed his sons away. Baldi was left alone in front of the house. Despair and grief threatened to overwhelm him. He didn’t have an excuse as to why he left her alone. Was he selfish…?
He turned back to the house. His eyes narrowed as he saw a form floating just above the ground, in front of the fire. Despite his transparent skin and see-through eyes, the anger on his face was obvious.
Null.
Without hesitation, Baldi held his hand out and called his ruler to him. He held the ruler in front of him like a sword, ready for anything the being would do.
Realization hit the teacher like a rough wave of water. Null had set the house on fire. Null was the one who had murdered his mother. Rage made Baldi shake. He knew he should have donesomething about the boy long ago.
“It’s such a pleasure to see you again Baldimore,” Null said in an infuriatingly calm voice.
“I should skin you alive.”
Null tilted his head to one side. Baldi could tell very clearly that he was acting.
“And why is that Mr. Baldimore?”
“YOU KILLED MY MOTHER!”
Null seemed to find his anger amusing. He scoffed and floated closer to him. “Now how does it feel to get a taste of your own medicine? When you slaughtered me, I lost everything. There’s no better punishment then taking away the ones you love most.”
Baldi’s eyes turned to a shade of dark red, the same shade of the blood that was spilled. He grabbed Null by his throat and threw him to the ground. He placed a foot on his chest so he couldn’t move, but before he could strike him, Null teleported away.
He kicked him in the back of the head, so roughly he fell to the ground. Null turned him on his back and pinned him, raising a fist to strike his face. Baldi flinched, anticipating the pain he would feel. Moments passed without the blow landing. He opened one eye to still see Null with his hand raised. He was shaking hard, and his eyes were wild. Despite his big words, he couldn’t seem to land the blow.
Baldi took advantage of this, kicking his legs up to strike his back. Null yelped in pain and jumped away. Before the placeholder could straighten to his feet again, Baldi threw his ruler at his arm. It impaled through the flesh and stuck into the ground. He screamed as the sharp wood went through his skin. White blood pooled around the wound, dripping down his arm and Baldi’s ruler. He fought to pull the ruler out, but it was too slippery, and he was weakening.
“You have some nerve doing what you did,” Baldi growled at him.
Null’s eyes hardened as he glared at his attacker. A moment later, he dropped his gaze. “Kill me. I have no wish to live anymore.”
The body of water was close to giving him what he asked for, but he didn’t want to ‘bless’ him. He instead shook his head. “No. Going on living is a far better punishment.”
Dismay shone on the placeholder’s face for a moment. “You can’t keep me here!” He retorted. “I escaped your office, I can do it again.” Baldi though his voice sounded a bit weaker than before. He must be losing a lot of blood. “I will keep haunting you until you die at my hands.”
Baldi ripped his ruler sharply from Null’s arm, causing another scream. He knew what he must do.
He recalled his boss telling him that there was a portal to another world that existed in the school. It was cleverly hidden within the many chalkboards in each classroom. He would leave Null there to rot for eternity. He walked toward the school without looking back at the house.
