I dont think they ever explained what the guardian spirits aspect of the lions were. Aside from their attacks, there are obvs errors like Keith's lion being the Guardian Spirit of the Core instead of Fire and Shiro's lion being the Guardian Spirit of the Cosmos instead of Sky.

Chapter 3 of "And they all fall down" By Asiramx is up!

Short excerpt from the fic:

“Any sign of the Red Lion?”

“No, sire.”

Sendak sat, observing the monitor. There were no reports of the Red Lion since he captured half of Voltron. So far, one Paladin is dead (the annoying one) and the rest are enslaved.

If there's any hint of the Red Lion anywhere. Hope will be restored. Something that Sendak wanted to crush mercilessly.

He questioned nearby stations if they saw a Red Lion.. And all had the same answer. No, they did not see it. He had heard from Zarkon a millennia ago how Red was the fastest one out of all the lions. So it was possible it had escaped during and after the zaiforge cannon fired at Voltron, separating them.

Even if the Red Paladin survived. It wouldn’t be for too long. The injuries would be too great and he would have to seek medical attention.

on the topic of ooc: every time lance is written as the annoying one whose friends barely tolerate him and use him as the butt of every joke, an angel cries. that angel is the actual canon lance. you are making him cry. please stop.

Ok so people seem to be talking about how Lance doesn’t speak Spanish/Spanglish in canon, but listen to this.

Lance only speaking Spanglish with Hunk because he feels comfortable speaking Spanglish around him.

Hunk eventually mirroring/mimicking Lance’s mannerisms and ends up speaking Spanglish himself without really meaning to.
