Apologies to all the visitors for our, ah, unexpected hiatus. There has been issues with the entities that we need to deal with, and even a few with ourselves. Don’t worry, we’ll be back to helping you all again soon!

I don’t see what you two are having trouble with- everything’s fine. Unless you can’t handle yourself now, Guidi? I didn’t know you could have troubles, everyone seems to think you’re so perfect and never, ever wrong. What? Don’t give me that look, you know I’m fluent in sarcasm. …it’s gotten worse. Somehow. I can’t keep going if this pain keeps up, alright? If one of you finds something to help with this, please let me know. I’ll take anything at this point. Anything to make this agony stop.

*A group of soldiers run through the hallways* “Remember! The main target is Seek! If any other threats show up, neutralize them like this!” *they zap Timothy with a taser, before hitting them with a big hammer. It doesn’t seem to oof Timothy, as the spider is seemingly sent to another dimension*

*before the soldiers can continue their search, the door ahead slams shut. A blue seal appears, the kind used to keep Seek and Figure from escaping and hunting down the humans. But you are the threat this time.*

Stop!! I don’t know who you are or what you want, but I am not letting you hurt the entities! Where did you send Timothy? What right do you have to come charging in and taking my friends?! You are a visitor here, not a god! *There’s a thud as Rush slams into the other side of the door, but he can’t get through the Architect’s barrier.*

Return Timothy from wherever you trapped him, and leave immediately! I don’t like hurting anyone, but if you don’t leave us alone, then the entities won’t be the only thing out to kill you. Stop this madness while you can still leave in one piece!

I’m glad the entities are happy to leave you be. They can be rather unpredictable, but it’s always nice when they behave. And thank you for the coat, Crow! It tends to be warmer in the Hotel, with all the fireplaces, but the Mines are rather chilly.

Ah, good to see you again! Staying safe, I hope? This was rather kind of you; would you like something in return? I only have starlight and shakelights to offer, unless you count a conversation as a gift. But if I know you correctly, I’ll guess it’s the starlight you’d prefer.

Oh, thank you. I’m resistant to the cold, but it still gets to me sometimes… not that it matters much in the long run! The entities keeping out of your way isn’t my doing for once- perhaps they just like you.

Please don’t! I much prefer you safe and not broken on the ground. Plus, the windows tend to be quite strong, so I am unsure you’d be able to get through anyways.

If I knew how to get out of here, I wouldn’t still be here, would I? Hm…thinking further, I might still stay even if I found an exit. This place has started to grow on me.

Tell me if you find one that opens- I’d like to test a few things.

What caused Halt to leave the old hallway and settle in the dining room? And since us humans are trespassing in the hotel and therefore all the entities' home, did they really find it so offensive that they followed us down into the mines?

Of course, we're only talking about our‐-as in humans--side of the story and we're notorious for twisting stories into making it about us being the good guys...

While yes, the entities do consider the hotel their home, there’s a more pressing issue to them. You humans tend to take a lot of items and make a lot of mess, as well as disrupting the entities during various tasks or routines they have- I know Dupe’s been woken up from napping a few too many times! Following you into the mines isn’t generally about attacking humans, although for some it definitely is. The Grumbles and Giggles are always in the Mines, for example, while entities like Seek and Figure prefer to stay in the hotel. Some of them, like Rush and Ambush, don't seem have a preference, and I’ll find them moving between floors whenever they feel like it, which can be rather hard to predict. I always try to stay with you humans, so I can continue assisting you. I’m not much help if I’m on the wrong floor!

As for Halt, there’s a few reasons for his switch. The old hallway was rather narrow, which I’m sure you remember, and even entities get claustrophobic sometimes! Given Halt’s physiology, it also makes sense that he chose the dining room; objects such as tables and shelves are much less of a problem for him than most, so the clutter is part of how he catches people in his space. Navigate carefully, especially if you encounter Halt in the Mines. The floor there is much more unstable, and he uses the collapsed parts to his advantage.

Some humans try to do this with the glass panels in the Rooms, too. It never works.

And now that you mention it, there has been some changes recently. The entities are getting restless, if they weren’t already before, and Blitz has started trying to escape the Backdoor from time to time. I’m not entirely sure what’s happening, but hopefully it doesn’t cause too much damage.
