“What is all this? Am I a game to you, or some kind of even more boring Truman Show? Do you believe I’m your Messiah? Your mutant Dalai Lama? Stop me if I guess it.”
I started drawing Leela a few days ago and I don’t plan on finishing it, so I’ll post it anyway. I was thinking about her awhile ago because she’s just kind of a great character. Like at some point the Strong Female Character was kind of a revolutionary break-away from the passive/weak/ruled-by-her-emotions character, but it’s to a point now where even the the Strong Female Character is kind of an overused trope. What I like about Leela is that she’s kind of both; she obviously kicks a lot of ass but she’s allowed to have emotions too. And it’s not because she’s a girl, it’s because she’s just human. Well.. sewer-mutant. Anyway the reason I was drawing her is ‘cause I really dig the idea of tentacle dreadlocks? I know kind of her whole backstory is about her LACK of mutant features, but what if… tentacle dreadlocks?? I know I didn’t really finish them but TENTACLE DREADLOCKS, GUYS.
ALso I guess I forgot her armband computer thingy but I was too concerned with TENTACLE DREADLO—
