Another roche art because we love this man!!
I tried to stuff light and everything on my first traditional art, and said: why not make it digital? Not that proud, prefer the traditional one, but still. 💪

Dead in battle.
Piece of writing.
Having to read the public reports lying about the death of Genesis and Angeal was one thing, as hard as it could be. Witnessing Shinra’s, and not only, downfall was difficult. The truth behind all of it has torn Zack apart, but he kept pushing. But reading this public report after his awakening, dragging cloud out of the Shinra’s Mansion, reading that Sephiroth, and himself, were dead in battle, was a complete different thing.
If Zack still had any hopes and feeling for the Shinra’s Organisation, there was none left, following these words. A hero. He wanted to be one, since always. To follow Angeal’s steps, Sephiroth’s steps. But all this madness was ripping all hope for Zack to, one day, become a hero. There was no hero in the Shinra’s building. Only deceived and trained soldiers, who thought they were doing the right thing, lied to. And he was one of them, for way too long.
But with Cloud by his side, in this miserable state, the confusion of the situation, he knew what he needed to do. It wasn’t about being a hero anymore. It was about doing the right thing. And if he needed to, he will die in battle. But not for the Shinra. He will protect Cloud, until his last breath, until his body refused to follow his own orders. Until he could feel himself filled with honor.
He understood Angeal, now. It was never about protecting your honor. It was about protecting what you cherished. And Shinra could never allow such thing.

“Artificial light feels warmer than natural one.”
How I view the slums.
Misery. That was what the slums were made of. Lack of money, lack of care from the SHINRA, lack of so many essential things. Yet, it was not the worst place you could live in. It looked, and felt, like any other city, any other type of civilization. Just less budget. What would be the top issue there, was the light. No sun.
It’s warmth was lacking. The sky was only made of grey shades. Only a huge and endless plate form covering theses underground cities. Without sun came, of course, mental health problems. The sun’s UV rays was a great source of Vitamin D, even if you can find it in many other things, the sun played a great part in the creation of Vitamin D. Why was Vitamin D so important, you might ask. It is important for bones, immune system, blood cells… This might, by the way, be the main reason why most citizens are getting so easily sick, in the slums.
But then, what are the slums not the worst place to live in? The ambience. People learned to care for each others, in such misery. Most couldn’t care less about some SOLDIER’s fan clubs, or so called “heroic” actions, why they wouldn’t care about the slum’s conditions. They cared about each other’s well-being, how they could help each others even with the factor of money coming in; since everyone still had to gain something in such situation. They were like a community, for most part. That is when, even without the rays of the sun, the slums could be warmer than the upper sectors of Midgar. Artificial light was warmer than natural one.

GENESIS RHAPSODOS
Headcanons/thought about his book.
- Genesis would be the kind of man to had a dedicated desk only for Loveless. Quite literally, we might say. The desk would be clean, not a ounce of dust, dirt, an almost polished surface, only for that precious book to be resting there. Loveless would be set in the middle of the desk, the SOLDIER making sure the book is straight, aligned with the desk, if he ever came to leave it there. An art piece as such should be treated with respect.
- If this man ever came to give you his book, he would stare at you, for as long as he needed to. He needs to make sure you will be a great holder, won’t break it, won’t let it fall, won’t mistreat it. But once his doubts and fear flies away, you are in for the ride. Hours and hours of speaking and explanation about Loveless, why, how, where, who? Theories? He had a lot to say. But he feels listened to, and he loved it.
- just as much as he loves you. No, Genesis do not prefer Loveless more than his lover. His lover would be like another art piece, another book. One that he would never share, never mistreat, never leave aside. But one that he couldn’t stop talking about to the others, until they would all get sick of it, while he could find tones and tones of things to say about this book. About the one he loves.
