Hey folks, you may have wondered why I’m not posting as much…

My mother passed away on the evening of Saturday 4/6/2024. For the last year of her life she’d been on oxygen, in advanced stages of COPD, and her quality of life had gone very downhill. She was living with my aunt and being very attentively cared for, but she suffered a minor back fracture from her coughing (she also had osteoporosis) and that left her bedridden and in a very bad way. She was in a lot of pain. I flew down and spent as much time with her as she would allow, and I’m glad I did, because she declined rapidly right after I left and died within 12hrs. Like she was waiting for me to leave. She had just turned 74 years old.

It’s been a surreal couple of days and I’m still very much in shock. I had been working on a few fics to post up in a big group for you all to make up for my absence but for now I can’t even fully wake up, let alone write smut, so I apologize but I’m going to need to take some time. I totally understand if you need to drop off my tumblr or Patreon during this time and rest assured it’s okay to do so. I don’t know when I’ll be posting regularly again but writing does give me escape so I will be doing it in drips and drabs, here and there. If I can.

Grief is a strange and unknown landscape and I’ve been dropped off on its edge with only the knowledge that I need to keep exploring. I hope you can all understand. I appreciate so much your kindness.

Please hug your parents if they’re good ones and they’re alive. Call your mom and tell her you want to hear stories from before you were born. Give her your love, for me.
