“I should clean this up..” Shilo said softly, as if she had spilled some water over, instead of nearly gutting and disfiguring the corpse behind her. It hadn’t even registered that Graves was with her, the woman just felt guilty and confused.
"Leave it," the GraveRobber said softly but firmly.  He slid his arm around her shoulders, gently steering her away from the bar.  The best thing for her was to get her out of here.

“That’s what I’m afraid of.” Sarah pursed her lips, but left the topic alone. It wasn’t worth picking a fight over and she didn’t want to cause her brother any stress. The day went on slowly, but the evening was when a large spread of wintery comfort foods had been displayed on a large banquet table.
Toby looked well and sat beside his sister, Adam on the opposite side of Lena and Jareth. Though it was pleasant to be with everyone, the time was to talk about a plan for the war they would have to endure.
“I say we plan a surprise attack. She wouldn’t see it coming.” Lena suggested, leaning back in her chair with a gentle ease.
Jareth kept his ice-cold eye on his brother through the whole dinner.  He didn't like the way the man kept looking at Sarah, but he also knew Sarah wouldn't appreciate it if he was overtly possessive.  They weren't really a couple, after all.
“I think a surprise attack would be our only option,” Jareth answered.  He was talking to Starlena but he never took his eyes off Adam.  “She’s powerful.  Too powerful to make a direct assault anything more than an unnecessary risk.”

“Your friend Lysandre seems cold don’t you think? He never smiles!”
“Now now, Serena, I’ve seen him smile with my very own eyes.”

mystifyingmuses‌:
“Fucking cheeky are we?” He snarled, moving and intending to strike Shilo, but she was the Repo Man’s daughter and she moved fast. Bringing out one of her slim scalpels, she slashed his cheek, blood pouring and spraying on the bar table.
“Fucking bitch!” He roared, cupping his cheek. “I’ve killed two Largo’s- what do you think I would do to scum like you?” Shilo asked, holding the blade up. She hadn’t wanted to kill the Largo’s… she hated killing people. Seriously hated killing people.
The dealer looked infuriated but began to laugh. “Daddy’s girl is a fucking monster.” He sneered, not knowing what that little sentence triggered in her. Flashes of her father, the Repo Man came across her mind, the Opera, the moment she felt him die in her arms… she had been naive then- lots of horrible things had shaped Shilo into the woman she was now. But that little sentence made her see red.
Without thinking properly, she slit the man’s throat and began striking him over and over again. There was so much blood and gore, it looked like the after effects of a reposession. The only sound which came Shilo come back to reality, was the sound of a gun locking behind her head.
Shilo stilled and looked at the disfigured man under her, the blood and gore. Shit. Shit… oh no… no she hadn’t meant to! No… no…. this wasn’t her… The blade dropped from her hand, as she muttered over and over to herself. “I’m sorry.. I’m so sorry… I’m sorry….” Shilo slowly got up with her hands up in the air to show she wasn’t armed. The girl’s face changed to the innocent girl she had once been at seventeen, looking at the bar keep behind her. “I’m sorry.”
The GraveRobber found his girl, shell-shocked and covered in blood.  His heart twinged as he was forcibly reminded of the day he met her.  He swept in, glaring at the bartender in a silent warning not to try anything.  “C’mon, kid,” he said softly, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.  “Let’s get you out of here.”

Her green eyes reflected his statement, knowing fully what had it had felt like happening to her. The drugs, the lies, the amount of manipulation which had gone through the medical system had failed her. Sarah would hate for that to happen to her brother- who seemed to also have eyes for Starlena. Maybe. Wait- she couldn’t think of that, her brother was her baby brother still in her mind!
Sarah gave a small nod, “As you wish.” Words which held perhaps no power at all, but she would listen to his advice. The mortal looked up at Jareth and couldn’t believe he was back in her life and in such odd circumstances. Like, what the hell was going on through his head? What did he think of all of this?
Jareth ran a hand over Sarah’s hair.  “He’ll be all right.  Lena will take good care of him.”  He wasn’t sure how he felt about the way his sister looked at the boy, but at least he was confident that she wouldn’t allow harm to come to him.  Quite unlike his half-brother, she was entirely trustworthy.

Shilo looked up to see Tom’s lovely new speech on the large floating TV’s. She smiled softly, knowing that he was going to keep GeneCo more reliable and fair. After the war, Shilo felt happy that she had made the right choice. Tom looked good up there too, he had the right image.
Sitting at a small bar, she asked for a glass of water in a clean glass. Listening to Tom’s broadcast, she felt eyes on her back and glanced over to see a large man. “You’re that girl. The one who killed the Largo’s.”
“Don’t think so.” Shilo replied, lifting up her glass for a drink, when the man smacked it out of her hands. “I wasn’t done with that.” She scowled.
“You messed up my operations. They paid me more money than you could even think of.” The drug lord yelled, but Shilo remained calm. “How are you going to make up for that?”
“Want a cup of water? It’s free.” Shilo made a cheeky response.
The GraveRobber had a knack for finding people, almost as strong as his knack for not being found unless he wanted to be.  A few credits loosened the tongues of some of his old clients, who had switched to another dealer as the GraveRobber became preoccupied with the coup.  That dealer had gone to seek Shilo out as revenge for Amber, and that scared the GraveRobber shitless.  “Kid, you’d better be okay...."

He was stubborn, but Sarah too had become hard in her own way after all the medication and lies she had been fed, after not knowing if the Labyrinth has been true or her vivid imagination.
“We may not have the time to wait and see.” Sarah thought to herself, letting go of his hand and sat back down on the edge of her bed. “I’m so tired but I’m worried about Toby. He was so sick… is he okay with Starlena? Should I take him back Aboveground?”
Jareth shook his head.  “I’d feel much better if he was in the care of someone who knew his affliction.  It was magic that injured him, and it must be magic that cures him.  I’ll not risk him being held captive by some imbecilic mortal who has no idea what they’re doing.”  He was furious over what had happened to Sarah.  He wouldn’t allow the same fate to befall her brother.

munashii-kioku‌:
Namine just shrunk back. She wasn’t trying to anger the woman, but that seemed to be all she was doing at the moment. Memories were harder to unravel than people might have thought. And……..she was finding herself becoming more attached to Sora the more she worked on him. She hated what she was having to do, but…..what other choice was there?
Larxene pinched the bridge of her nose.  Sparks still danced up and down her hair.  If she killed the girl, Marluxia would be pissed and all their plans would go down the drain.  That thought was the only thing keeping her temper in check.  “Make yourself semi-useful and plant yourself in his head.  I’d rather wait until Kairi’s gone, but at this rate, I don’t think that’s gonna happen.”  The kid was climbing the floors faster than she and Marluxia had anticipated.   They had to make some kind of progress.

It’s the same thing every day…                                      The same routine…                                                      The same faces…                                                                   The same SCORNING conversations…
                                                                       I’M TIRED OF IT.

mystifyingmuses‌:
Shilo heard the door close behind GraveRobber left her small apartment. She had done everything right and saved the world, as her father wanted. Like GraveRobber wanted. But this world was not saved for her, she knew this wasn’t going to be the path for her anymore.
After her shower, Shilo looked at her clothes and slipped them on slowly, putting some new warm clothes she could find around the apartment into her bag. Her movements were slow and methodical, but Shilo was calm, a sense of peace at her decision. It was okay and GraveRobber was going to be okay too. A small pink smile came upon her face, as she wrote in a piece of paper three words, ‘I love you.’
Hoisting the backpack over her shoulder, Shilo slipped out of the apartment and into the quiet alley’s, towards the bridge which had once brought her out isolation and into the war that they had finally won.
True to his word, the GraveRobber returned.  He returned in the wee hours of the morning, but he did return.  When he got there, all he found was the note with those three words he’d tried so hard to get her to stop feeling.  “Damn it, kid,” he groaned.  She was gone, back out into the wild streets  Okay, that was what he’d wanted, but damn it, he’d wanted to be at her side.
