the guitar solo is the best part in every MCR song, and you can pry that conclusion from cold dead hands

no joke one time i spent twenty minutes scrolling through rolling stones top 250 guitarists of all time and got increasingly pissed as i scrolled because ray wasn’t on there

he’s genuinely one of the best guitarists of all time, and he should be recognized for it

genuinely the best guitarist of his time and even to this day. He has such an unmatched talent that people need to start appreciating more. the riffs in Summertime and dead are my favourites

hey i just finished Gravity Falls (might write some AUs later) but i need ya'll to see this

everyone keeps highlighting the parallels between Mabel and Stan and Dipper and Ford, i'm beginning to think we could change that around.

Ford is willing to give up anything for the greater good of the universe. he was willing to remain suspended in the void of the multiverse to keep Earth safe. Dipper, on the other hand, despite all his ambitions and dreams, would throw everything away for Mabel. he's made some bad choices, selfish choices, but it all comes back to her. remember when she got Waddles? Dipper made the decision to make her happy instead of fulfilling his own unrealistic desire. if he were faced with the decision, he'd always choose Mabel.

Stan, meanwhile, stopped at nothing to get Ford back. even knowing the consequences, he still would have torn apart the fabric of time and space to see him again. Mabel, despite her whimsy, is wise enough to know (at least some of the time) that things happen for a reason, even when it upsets her.

Dipper and Mabel are still kids though, and might not understand sacrifice the same way that their Grunkles do. prove me wrong if you want, that's just my opinion :)
