I think that one of the funniest things about the “Earth is a death planet and human’s are space orcs” posts and stuff is that that’s literally a major plot point in Animorphs. Like, the aliens in the series frequently comment on how there is just an extremely excessive amount animals with unique ways to kill or maim you on the planet, and that humans, despite looking fragile and weak in comparison, are scary as shit because they’re stubborn and ruthless and refuse to stop even when any sane species would have given up ages ago. Like there are aliens described as “walking salad shooters” with bladed spikes shooting out all over their bodies, and then you find out that all of that is just so they can harvest tree bark to eat and a whole army of them can be disabled by a single skunk. It is described in loving detail all the different ways a house cat can fuck you up, and don’t even get me started on actual predators and the damage they can do when a ridiculous stubborn, reckless, and creative human brain is what’s controlling them. The alien invaders comment about how they’re going to have to basically kill off 90% of earths species once they win the war because the planet is so damn excessive about this whole ‘murder animals’ thing, and sometimes they’re even like “you know, in hindsight, this is not nearly as easy as we assumed it would be”

Someone needs to hurry up and detonate and EMP about 30km up in the atmosphere to knock out all electrical systems.
It'll take months for humanity to recover, but image how much the earth would recover during that time.
Months without the billion tonnes of pollution we spew into the atmosphere on a daily basis.
Months of no trees getting cut down on a mass scale.
Months of respite for the planet to clean itself. It wouldn't undo everything, but might undo a few decades of damage.
It might even show people just how much impact we have when they see just how much h healing can happen when we are totally gone (environmentally speaking) for just a few months.
If we need drastic environment change towards the green, we need to show the drastic change.

I think a lot of us are upset (or have some qualms in my case) about the Loki show because of its false advertising. Showing President Loki, DB Cooper Loki and King Loki in the trailer got us all expecting something far more in line with Loki's trickster ways and I think we were disappointed all of those exciting and key scenes from the trailer were either 30 second jokes or completely nonexistent.
Making fake trailers or including stuff that isn't in your project is worse than clickbait at the end of the day and I genuinely hate how it's become perfectly acceptable to show scenes in your advert that aren't there at all.
If I advertised a car and said it came with doors and when you bought it it turned out to have no doors you'd be pissed off and demand your money back. And legally I'd have to give you your money back as I've sold you something on false pretences. So why is it acceptable within the movie/TV world to sell you on something based on fallacy. You're asking us to buy something (either a cinema ticket or a subscription fee) based on an advert so I don't see how it's actually legal to essentially con people.
I've enjoyed Loki mostly but I thought he would be president Loki and DB Cooper and King Loki and while they didn't actually expressly say that in the trailer and it was just an assumption, we have to all agree it was purposefully misleading. Which yknow is I suppose okay technically but including scenes you've not got any intention of having in show really isn't okay and I don't think it should be allowed to become an accepted industry practice.
The whole "we want everything to be a surprise" thing has gotten so out of hand, to the point where your misleading ads are making fans ultimately disappointed with your work when they might have liked it if they didn't have expectations you created needlessly for the sake of ✨SURPRISE✨. Honestly Marvel if surprises are that important to you don't bother with a trailer... youre setting yourselves up for backlash every time your write a check you have no intention of cashing and just remind us you're only after our money and have no interest in making something we want to see.
The Loki show probably would have been better received in general if we weren't all expecting something completely different because of the advertising. And that's really sad for all the artists, actors and creatives involved who worked bloody hard to make this show. They deserve better and they'll no doubt take the flack for this.

If Lokius wont happen, then I think I’d prefer NO romance in my Loki Series.
Sometimes I just wanna watch a redemption and found family story with a god of mischief, his au twin sis, and their lovable, mustached, dad-bod, jet-ski lovin’ Agent. (+ the Grandpa, Child, and Alligator they pick up along the way).
Not everything needs a forced romance plot. We don’t need forced female love interests; I just want a badass Goddess of Mischief taking down Time Fascists with her annoying au self! And if Mobius ain’t a love interest (rip my lokius heart), then I can accept that too. I’d prefer Loki having multiple friends in season 1 than forced love plots.

Can we just throw Loki x Sylvie away please, the way Marvel has the audacity to have Loki come out as bisexual but not have his love interest be male
Coming from someone who’s bi: having Loki be canonically bisexual is a major win for our community but it still doesn’t change the fact that there needs to be more representation in popular media of m/m relationships. Having Loki’s love interest be Sylvie when Mobius and Loki have obvious chemistry and he’s bisexual is just, frankly, annoying.

Marvel are cowards
They're queerbaiting us again, don't you see this? The representation of LGBT+ that they give us in the cinema university is pathetic. They put definitely gay lines and then destroy it. This shit happens regularly and we are used to it but it's not okay. I'm so angry because of it. My sexual orientation is normal, why do they pretend that queer people do not exist? Marvel is an American company, they don't even risk that much. I mean I'm Russian. There is a law about the propaganda of homosexuality. People can't speak out loud about gays 'cause it's illegal. But you know what? Today was released the Russian film "Major Grom: Plague Doctor" in English. And there are two main male characters who are canonically in romantic relationship, this was confirmed by the film's producer and also showed in Bubble's comic books that the film was based on. So I don't understand why Marvel acting like they'll lose everything because of one gay couple. Watch Major Grom on Netflix, support worthy Russian cinematography

THIS
I swear if Mobius was meant to be the second "love interest" for Loki, I'm gonna be pissed, but not for the reason you're thinking.
For Sylvie, we get so much screen time. We get Loki admitting he likes her. We get scenes with them talking about how they care about each other.
Mobius? Oh yeah, they're totally love interests. Now take a few suggestive scenes and a hug, go, fetch.
Marvel knows what a good love interest is supposed to be like. WE GET AN EXAMPLE OF IT IN THE SAME FUCKING SHOW. But because one of them is a girl, and the other is gay, she gets more screen time because hetero.
Mobius is not a love interest. It's queer baiting. We, as LGBTQ+, need to raise our standards and tell Marvel that one scene saying a character likes both men and women is not enough. We deserve on screen representation that can't be hidden behind mistranslated subtitles.
Fuck Disney. The cowards.
