Im mostly drawn towards guys that i have 8th house synastry overlays with, with my pluto being there i tend to get involved with guys who have their personal planets conjunct pluto. But also because of this intense infatuation, i am intensely frustrated as well when it doesn't turn out into anything. I don't know if they are too scared to make a move or anything, cause they seem to hold back. Please help me
The most important lessons that an 8th house synastry overlay is to learn how to let go and to let things/people go.That’s what makes them intense and tough at the same time.Relationships where the 8th house is involved learn you that you can’t control anything or anyone and the only way I can help you with this is to tell you to accept what it is and not think about what it was supposed to be.Just let it be and you will feel free and grown up spiritualy. The philosophy of 8th house is to show you that people can be with us but they can never belong to us.
Hope this helps!🙏

🔮the pluto in scorpio generation (1984-1995) was born into darkness, roaming around, descended and alone on the treacherous ledges of sanity where the unconscious is permitted to enter, and the hidden secret of astrology was found in these unseen worlds 🔮the pluto in sagittarius generation (1995-2008) is and will bring this from watery and coded symbolism into the higher intelligence of everyday affairs, emphasising its intellectual and mythic qualities, bringing about the mass cultural renewal in astrology and its emphasis on the inner messiah  🔮the pluto in capricorn generation (2008-2024) will harness and conserve the wisdom discovered, revering its ascendency and power, preserving this for generations to come

Planet Retrogrades 101
What is retrograde in Astrology?  A retrograde (or an rx) occurs when a planet appears to be moving in a different direction than its normal course. The planet itself does not actually change its pattern or direction, though. It only looks this way; it’s an optical illusion.  How does this affect us? When a planet appears to be moving backwards, we interpret this as the planet going inward or moving back through its experiences. For us, this can mean when a planet is in retrograde, it is time for us to slow down, back up, and spend time reflecting on our choices and our circumstances relating to what the retrograde planet represents. This can often lead to things from the past being brought into the present, causing us to face our estranged friends and ex lovers, as well as our mistakes, achievements, memories, and life choices. In Mercury’s case, we can experience issues in communication, technology, and travel because we are being called to stand still and relax, in Venus, relationship issues can occur if you have been involving yourself with the wrong people and have been denying this, and so on. Though we are called to reflect, we must refrain from actually living in the past. This is where problems can arise when a retrograde is happening, especially if it is in Mercury because we will feel the need to communicate with people from our past. What if I have planets in retrograde in my natal chart? How will a transit retrograde affect me? The same interpretation applies. The retrograde planet’s energies are turned inward. Your particular retrograde planets will be intensely felt but you will have difficulty expressing your planet’s natural energies and the traits of the sign it occupies. This can manifest as introversion, shyness, awkwardness, delays, or denial in the individual with the planet retrograde. During a transit retrograde in the same planet a person has a natal retrograde, the natal retrograde individual will be less likely to act upon the energies because they are used to them. It can however provide growth to natal retrogrades who have not yet overcome their restrictions. Below is a list of each planet’s energies and how they are affecting during a retrograde. Mercury deals with: Communication, Thinking, Planning, Organizing, Travel Transit Mercury Retrograde: miscommunication, misunderstandings, reflecting on career/education, issues with technology, plans failing or experiencing delays, vehicular issues, travel delays/setbacks, nervousness, insomnia Natal Mercury Retrograde: over-thinking, different method of thinking often misunderstood in educational/professional settings, difficulty focusing, reviewing their words before saying/writing them, social awkwardness, quirky sense of humor Venus deals with: Creativity, Comfort, Love, Romance, Relationships (Platonic or Romantic), Style, Fashion Transit Venus Retrograde: reflecting on relationships and lifestyle choices, seeing the truth in your romantic partners and friends, past relationships surfacing, focusing on your indulging habits and how to fix them, exploring and understanding your feelings, wants, and desires Natal Venus Retrograde: intense feelings, serious and passionate about love, unique/taboo interests and fashion, extremely aware of physical appearance, can be insecure and shy until they develop/mature, secrecy surrounding their comforts and desires, high standards for themselves and others, deep fears of rejection and loss Mars deals with: Desire, Passion, Assertion, Anger, Aggression Transit Mars Retrograde: delays and setbacks involving new projects, re-visiting unfinished projects, frustration, irritability, pent up energies and emotions, restlessness, obstacles, reflecting on your anger, passion, and rage, learning to let the delays happen to see what they mean for you or how they can serve you Natal Mars Retrograde: problems with standing up for yourself and others, issues with assertion and aggression, avoiding competition and confrontation, steady pace when working or doing projects, expressing bursts of passion and anger rather than the energy flowing Jupiter deals with: Higher Knowledge, Freedom, Philosophy, Luck, Religion, Spirituality  Transit Jupiter Retrograde: changes in politics and social issues, re-evaluating beliefs and morals, research, seeking the truth, delays relating to travel, reflecting on spirituality, purifying the soul and body, can cause some people to behave impulsively in areas that they need growth and maturity in to help them realize this (food, spending, etc) Natal Jupiter Retrograde: unusual or unconventional beliefs and morals, different perspective than those in their family or community, prefers to learn and gain experience on their own than be taught by others, intolerant beliefs relating to karma and luck, will experience a pattern of karmic situations and relationships to help them overcome their retrograde Saturn deals with: Limitations, Karma, Restrictions, Authority, Discipline Transit Saturn Retrograde: understanding and reflecting on your insecurities and limitations, issues with authority, karma for your previous actions (good or bad depending on you), recognizing negative habits and thought patterns, government receiving karma and restrictions Natal Saturn Retrograde: irrational guilt and fear, holding themselves to high standards, lack of authority or discipline in childhood (usually from the father figure), feels nervous when following directions, standards, and regulations from authority or responsibilities, overworks themselves Uranus deals with: Individuality, Technology, Society, Unpredictability, Humanitarianism Transit Uranus Retrograde: personality changes - introverts become expressive, extroverts retreat within themselves, heightened intuition, awakenings resulting in change and rebellion in society, fears and worries brought to the surface, issues with technology and social media (technological complications, people acting strangely online, etc) Natal Uranus Retrograde: fear of change and expressing eccentricities, hides their unique qualities, random bursts of rebellion from pent up energy and restlessness, disciplined self-expression, confusion or disgust with technology and societal improvements Neptune deals with: Spirituality, Sacrifices, Dreams, Illusions, Creativity, Intuition Transit Neptune Retrograde: strange and vivid dreams, clarity on confusing situations, illusions exposed, harsh realities to what was once romanticized, reflection on fears and anxieties that come from the exposed reality, painful memories being realized and faced, experiencing conspiracies and slander Natal Neptune Retrograde: private, hides their creativity, spirituality, and compassion, feels uncomfortable with their intuitive abilities, denies their psychic senses, fears that fantasizing and dreaming too much will only bring disappointment, denial of prophetic dreams, empathy, and clairvoyance Pluto deals with: ‘Death’, Transformation, Change, Rebirth, Renewal, Darkness Transit Pluto Retrograde: reflection on your personal power and your relationship with change, realizing what is causing you pain, suffering, and toxicity, destroying bad habits and relationships, creating a new path, fated events and patterns forcing you to see what needs change Natal Pluto Retrograde: strong fears of being controlled or manipulated making the individual private and on high alert, keeps fears and secrets to themselves, fearing change and letting go of people/things, picky about who they associate with, what information they give out, and what they do

Natal Retrograding Planets
Retrograde comes from Latin for “backward step.” Astrologically, the planets are felt on a more inner, deeper level and expressed more inwardly than overtly. They swirl on the soul lining rather than project through the body
Born with Mercury rx: Thoughtful, slips into meditation easily, speculative, reflective, constant conversations with the mind that are not verbalised, trouble grasping new ideas, uncomfortable in academic settings, slow processing of information, takes time to respond, shy, self conscious about communication, self critical, can have dyslexia
Born with Venus rx: Approaches relationships and social encounters with seriousness, takes responsibility for others, has a unique portal of social ideologies and values, reticent to enter relationships and intimate experiences, creatively talented, attraction to odd and unusual romances, emotionally disconnected, nonmaterial
Born with Mars rx: Trouble self starting and initiating, slow inertia, difficulty with self assertion and aggression, lost ego, high level of responsibility, self competitive, represses bouts of anger, difficulty finding passion, sexually compulsive and ritualistic, rage turns inward - at the self, misplaced fury
Born with Jupiter rx: Extremely rich and broad inner life, slips into meditation easily, learns best in solitude, easy access to the internal divine guru, unique view of philosophy and the universe, excessive nature, easy weight gain, more concerned with inner riches than material, original belief systems, trouble interacting with others
Born with Saturn rx: Hyper diligent and responsible, streams of ambition and endurance, self contemptuous and critical, self demanding, places high expectations on the self, paternalistic, prefers to work in solitude, feels victimised, feelings of inferiority, need for security and safety, weak or absent father figure
Born with Uranus rx: Spontaneous bursts of universal insights, unique and original domestic and social habits, views the self as the one who needs rebelling against, appears conventional but is quite eccentric within, makes abrupt and unpredictable sweeping life changes, highly acute intuition
Born with Neptune rx: Swirls with internal imaginative imagery and fantasy, tendency to procrastinate, struggles turning vision into action, enjoys the use of drugs alcohol and hypnotics in solitude, compelled to raise the consciousness of other people, oversensitive, self sacrificial, requires copious time in solitude and meditative states, can fall into trances
Born with Pluto rx: Believes one was born with a special purpose in life, struggles overcoming trauma, self destructive, intimate with the processes of life death and rebirth, challenged with their own internal depths, self regenerative, resourceful in the face of pain, provoked to heal and transform others, faces strong resistance from others throughout life

“My brother used to ask the birds to forgive him; that sounds senseless but it is right; for all is like the ocean, all things flow and touch each other; a disturbance in one place is felt at the other end of the world.”

The Houses: An Extended Guide
I’ve been getting lots of questions about what houses are and how they contribute to an astrological chart. I admit, houses were the hardest thing in astrology for me to initially understand. So here is my guide on the houses for you. If you have any specific questions, let me know!
What is a house?
Astronomically, the positions of the houses in a natal chart are calculated using the person’s time of birth and geographical birth location. While the zodiac signs and the planets in the zodiac signs are based on the earth and the other planet’s revolution around the sun, the houses and the planets in the houses are based on the earth’s own rotation about its axis.
Astrologically, each house represents a different function of your life, and all the houses together encompass all the parts of a human’s full life.
What do the houses represent?
Here are the life functions each of the houses represent:
House I: Identity, expression
House II: Possessions, money
House III: Communication
House IV: Family, your roots and home
House V: Creativity, children, sex
House VI: Service, health
House VII: Relationships, marriage
House VIII: Death, transformation
House IX: Travel, philosophy
House X: Career, reputation
House XI: Friends, dreams
House XII: Secrets, self-undoing
So what does this mean for my chart?
Every planet in your chart is in a house the same way it is in a sign. There are two wheels in your chart as depicted below. There is the zodiac wheel which contain the signs (traced in purple) and the wheel of houses which contain the houses (traced in black). Houses can be uneven in size.
Tumblr media
For example: look at the chart above, and find the moon symbol towards the top of the chart. It’s in the black division designated for the 9th house (you can see the tiny number 9 towards the center of the circle) and the purple division designated for Gemini (you can see the yellow glyph for Gemini at the edge of the chart above the moon).
The sign (Aries…Pisces) a planet is in shows HOW the planet is manifest in the person’s personality. The house (I…XII) a planet is in shows WHERE in the person’s life the planet’s energy is displayed. To read what the different positions for your planets mean, look at this site and find the position you’d like to learn more about.
How do I find the positions of my houses and what houses my planets are in?
To pull up a chart similar to the one above, go to astro.com. Hover over “Free Horoscopes”, and select “Natal Chart, Ascendant.” You can enter in your birth  information and pull up your chart.
Also, to easily find what sign each of your houses start in (i.e. the cusp of each house) go to cafeastrology’s chart generator here. You can pull a table similar to the below.
Tumblr media
Under “Placidus Orb: 0″ is a listing of which sign each house begins in. For example, in the table above, the 3rd House (House III) starts 22º in Scorpio. Note that “ascendant” is the same as your rising, which is the same as the sign in which your 1st House starts, and your “midheaven” is the same as the sign in which your 10th House starts.
What if I have empty houses? Did I do something wrong?
You did nothing wrong! Everybody has a few empty houses since there are 10 planets and 12 houses, and they are not necessarily bad. They simply mean that the part of your life that empty house rules won’t be too consciously prominent in your life. Of course an empty 7th house won’t mean you won’t get married and an empty 5th house won’t mean you won’t have children. It simply means your relationships or children won’t be a consciously prominent part of your life.
What are stelliums?
A stellium is when you have 4 or more planets or luminaries (i.e. Mercury…Pluto or sun or moon; nodes, asteroids, and points like Vertex or rising or midheaven aren’t counted) in one house or one sign. It is also debated that a stellium could also consist of 3 personal planets or luminaries (sun, moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) as well. The sign or house in which the stellium is present will be very prominent in your life.
What are the different kinds of houses?
The twelve houses are divided into three groups: the angular houses (1st house, 4th house, 7th house, 10th house), the succedent houses (2nd house, 5th house, 8th house, 11th house), and the cadent houses (3rd house, 6th house, 9th house, 12th house). The three groups of houses are similar to the qualities or modalities of the zodiac signs. The angular houses (which are accepted as the most important) are similar in quality to the cardinal signs, the succedent houses are similar in quality to the fixed signs, and the cadent houses are similar in quality to the mutable signs.
The twelve houses are also divided into four other separate groups: the houses of life (1st house, 5th house, 9th house), the houses of wealth (2nd house, 6th house, 10th house), the houses of relationships (3rd house, 7th house, 11th house), and the houses of endings (4th house, 8th house, 12th house). These classifications are similar to the elements for the signs. The houses of life correspond with fire, the houses of wealth correspond with earth, the houses of relationships correspond with air, and the houses of endings correspond with water.

Hello Mercury
Mercury in the 1st House: Either childish auras or intellectual gazes. Curiosity is in the driver seat. Could be whispering about you.
Mercury in the 2nd House: Captain obvious. Intellect is driven towards the practical and physical. Communication is to the point. Pulled between being focused and controlled with wealth/possessions or despite their logical side losing track of items and money.
Mercury in the 3rd House: Busy bee. Watch out for anxiety swallowing them whole. Exuberant energies. Big boost towards communication.
Mercury in the 4th House: Remembers everything you said. Great or strange communication with family. Guarded voice. Mother’s words engrave.
Mercury in the 5th House: Blessed entertainer. Stereotypical outgoing. Show off in their intellect. Loud laughter. Confident communication.
Mercury in 6th House: Textaholic/social media addict. Devils in the details. Frugal folk. Worry easily takes over the mind. Aces the interview.
Mercury in the 7th House: Indecisiveness truly rears it’s double head. An overanalyzer. Does everything in twos. Skilled at relating to others. Instinctively knows who can help them or how to get aid.
Mercury in the 8th House: Natural detective. People listen to their words. Manipulator? Yeah… Has a trick up their sleeve for finances.
Mercury in the 9th House: Eternal student. Has a talent for teaching. Has a preachy side? Maybe.. Bluntness is added to the Mercury Sign.
Mercury in the 10th House: Authoritative and impressive speaker. Others professional mentor. Don’t bore them at the job. Good luck with that reputation.
Mercury in 11th House: Lots to learn and explore in friendships. Craves mental stimulation from others. Sometimes gives into the surface level.
Mercury in the 12th House: On the shyer side. Doesn’t want to tell you their opinion. Likes solitude to learn. Grows communication skills slowly.
