ok i’m gonna say it. i’ve seen the moment where Gavin punches Connor brought up so many times in DBH retrospectives. like “if androids don’t feel pain then why does he collapse like that?? oooh plot hole alert wee woo wee woo bad game”

then you get further in and discover that the thirium pump regulator—the biocomponent that controls an android’s “heartbeat”—is located right above where a human gut would be. dude wasn’t in pain; he got punched so hard that it gave him a fucking arrhythmia.
