favorite weather for writing

as a general rule, I think the first rain breaking a long length of time where it was purely sunny is like. the perfect day. anything is possible. or those fall days when it's really really really still. I get pretty pissed if I can open my windows to write.

what's the writing process. outlining, writing, editing? I don't do a lot of editing... two things. outlining, which I've been doing a little more of, where literally anyyyyything is possible. feels so freeing. or, when I'm writing and my heart is pounding because it's exactly what I want to put on the page. perfection.

i think i rigidly see Wren as my favorite fic and showcases all of my strengths. I had the most fun writing it, I felt the most satisfied, and I just all around. feel as if. I cooked. hmmmm adjacent to this, I associate eminath with the snow leopard and bharal, because the first eminath wip was inspired by hemingway's The Snows of Kilimanjaro, which is prefaced with: Close to the western summit there is the dried and frozen carcass of a leopard. No one has explained what the leopard was seeking at that altitude. the snow leopard hunts blue sheep, the latter sometimes dragging leopards up mountain faces they wouldn't normally go, and the both of them tumbling off cliffs. it just feels very apt for them, you know? who is hunting who, who is responsible for what, etc. ahhhh. and what, near the end, was emilie seeking in death?

a story idea you haven’t written yet

I have like. 20 sangreste/eminath/amenath wips that I've technically started. even sentiemilie. so if we're talking actually haven't written, I keep thinking about an emilie character study of a day very very close to her death, her reflection, and a more antagonistic eminath. true lovers are emilie and stairs that she can’t navigate. mmmm or the gabenath one where nathalie, over a decade after gabriel's defeated and for some reason relegated to severe house arrest vs. jail, visits him and they reminisce and they're both kinda old and she has to witness this old friend of hers forget his words and trains of thought and also adrien doesn't talk to either one of them.

mmm i think the only sequel applicable would be for tbsym, and in my head it's called "to be something that stays" but other than a short convo, I don't really have much else. all of my one shots are written specifically to be a spot in time I feel...

as if we don't give each other the links as soon as we're like, 500 words in hahaha. well see, I light a candle, choose appropriate music, get in the headspace, and write. I usually go in sections and write pretty flexibly; as you've seen, if I get stuck on one scene, I'll hit enter a few times to signify "this goes later" and start writing that scene. I ride the highs of "this is exactly how I want this to go" and dread trying to connect it all. editing is self-editing as I go, or if you, my unofficial beta, get confused on something. lmao

how do you recharge when you’re not feeling creative?

reading and movies!!! or I read my favorite fics to re-enter a character's mind, but true recharge is getting back into reading. though my favorite kissing scene in for the hope of it all came directly on the heels of me winning a tough round in civ 6. so.

this is a good question. when I wonder where I'd go after sangreste, which has been on my mind lately not for distressing reasons but more of a longevity of my writing period, I come up blank. I think it would be VERY cool to write helly/helena fic, but I'd really have to sit down and immerse myself in severance. I certainly enjoy trawling that ao3 tag <3 it's a bit of a conundrum, because I don't hyperfixate. if I was going to write for anything immediately, it'd be something sangreste-cloned lol
