i actually need to know people's thoughts on this because at least in my experience the answer to this has drastically changed since i was on tumblr in the 2010s and its driving me fucking insane

*im talking about fandom takes specifically. not someone being horribly evil about a real-life issue or or blatantly factually incorrect. literally just harmless fandom disagreements or differing interpretations of a text/character/etc.

rewatched a very sunny christmas last night and my main takeaways were:

1. child mac screaming over the cabbage patch doll remains one of my all time favorite mac moments

2. child charlie huffing glue alone on christmas day still makes me cry

Variety just dropped a whole feature on Rob and Kaitlin’s relationship.. their marriage and navigating raising their kids, etc. There’s a lot of really interesting stuff in this including commentary from Glenn, Charlie, and Danny !!

Of significant note:

Rob seems to be changing his surname.. I can’t tell if this is a joke and neither can Glenn (why did they ask him about this like it affects him lmfao)

Of course they recounted the secret relationship (and reconfirmed they first got together at Charlie and Mary Elizabeth’s wedding, which means the piss story was Season 3’s filming), and Charlie weighed in here…

I said yeah I’m sure.

They also talked about this issue I think a lot of us were confused about with Kaitlin hiding the boys’ faces and Rob putting them on the Wrexham documentary.. apparently that was a major battle (understandably)

And, fucking finally, they reveal that Rob has ADHD (and Kaitlin talks about how the diagnosis really helped them put a lot into perspective!)

Honestly I’m still bitter that the face of “internalized misogyny” is a socially awkward, tomboyish, usually teenaged girl (who’s blatantly coded as not straight lbr), as opposed to shit like queen bee adult ~beauty gurus~ who get their kicks and clout by viciously attacking other women for their looks, and make money peddling dangerous “weight loss shakes” to 13 year olds

The best thing about Dennis is he's at least as stupid And pathetic as the rest of the gang. The fact that he convinces anyone he's truly a master of anything (esp self control) is his greatest achievement.

I wish we had more female characters like Eleanor Shellstrop. One of the most unlikable people you've ever met. Read a Buzzfeed article on most rude things you can do on a daily basis and decided to use that as a list of goals. Makes everyone's day worse just by being there. Dropped a margarita mix on the ground and tried to pick it up, only to get hit by a row of shopping carts which pushed her into the road where she was hit by a boner pill delivery truck, killing her instantly. Cannot keep a romantic partner despite being bisexual. Had a terrible childhood but will die before she gets therapy. Best employee at a scam company. Just the worst but also can't help but root for her to improve.

Absolute loser. Girl-failure. Bad at almost everything. Literally perfect female character.
