Pluto has a reeeeeally really good plot and is actually one of the most loved Thai GL series out right now for that reason!!!!! Mate is objectively one of Chaoplanoy's worst books and the adaptation has, so far, done absolutely nothing to fix the problems that most Mate haters have with that godawful book.

Mate, the series/book where victim blaming runs rampant, nevermind the fact that Aoey is CLEARLY DEEPLY TRAUMATIZED??????
