I was never raised to think that I was pretty. Itโs not that I was raised to think I was unattractive, but it was just never something that was pointed out to me by my family. They would point out personality traits โ โour daughter is really quirkyโ โ versus what I look like, because inevitably, looks go, so it makes no difference.

[ MILA KUNIS. CIS-FEM. SHE/HER ] Look, itโs FRANCINE โFRANKIEโ MELROSE, did you know they now work as a VP OF TECHNOLOGY? You know, they can be a bit THOROUGH & IDEALISTIC, but theyโre honestly NAIVE & TRANSPARENT. When I hear their name i think of clicking mechanical keys, empty bottles of rose, and hallmark rom-coms. They also seem to be a bit FOMO; like in all her success, sheโs missing out on real life about everyone getting together.
hi yโall iโm mimi, iโm twenty-1, and iโm very excited to have the opportunity to write with all of you, and to write frankie once more! sheโs like lowkey my dream life personified and my dream woman mila kunis nation we rise!

Born in Houston, Texas with her grandmother by her single motherโs bedside. Jennifer Melrose never intended to be a single mother but, as progressive as the 80s were, not many men were willing to say their wife was an engineer. Frankieโs father had seen her once when she was a baby before leaving her life completely. That didnโt stop Jennifer from trying to give Frankie that perfect family life. For the first few years of her life, Frankie was raised by her grandmother. Just like Frankie, her mother was ambitious and determined and wouldnโt let a child stop her grind. Frankie learned to be independent from a very young age which leaked into her academics and social life.
They moved up the east coast when Frankie was in middle school. In high school, Frankie was no cheerleader, nor mathlete. She seemed destined to be the girl in the yearbook you forgot about a year later. She had an inconsequential face til about senior year where she grew into her beauty and turned the occasional head. Though by this time, she had already settled into her spot with the Dogs. The kind of kids whoโd be in the background of your coming of age film. She was one of those sleeper studentsโ the kind who you assumed were just as โmehโ as you were but were actually in the 10th percentile of students.
With a relatively solid academic career under her belt, she moved away from the cold coasts of Maine to sunny Tallahassee, Florida.ย In her programming fundamentals class she met a guy name Mason. With the face of a Hollywood actor and the most stereotypical rich Florida parents, Mason was only concerned with making a name for himself. After trying to get a piece of the dot com bubble and seeing its unfortunate demise, his determination to crush the tech industry roped Frankie in and they became partners in crime. Frankie and Mason both walked across the stage together in 2011 both with masters degrees in hand.
Mason and Frankie sort of lost contact and it wasnโt till 2013 when Mason had invited her out to Silicon Valley where the tech industry was booming. Having never left the east coast, Frankie was weary but knew she was meant for bigger and better things. Her and Mason had worked at fitbit as developers for three years until Mason had left to start his own company called Fliip. Frankie was practically the co-ceo, not only did she do the majority of the developing she also controlled marketing and their books.
As Fliip became a bigger enterprise and they hired more and more developers, PR people, and accountants she expected to go to more events with Mason but he gave her the title of head managing engineer and let her sit in obscurity as he traveled to events, got magazine interviews and met with investors.ย If she didnโt have underlying feelings for him she would have gone to the first tech magazine that would listen and write a tell all but she accepts her fate as a glorified babysitter to 20-somethings.
