audrey clark does not have a shot at being anything particularly good . a daughter to a teen mother & a father who wanted nothing to do with her , audrey learned fast how to land on her feet , and learn how to pick up and go . she decides at a young age that she wanted to be so different from her mother , that people would ' nt recognize her as her daughter . this fear drives her whole life . including her career , her choice in partners , everything down to the car she drives . she is brand new to miami . in her hometown of hamilton , she dated devin anderson , and was so in love with him that it terrified her . three years ago , she left him for some asshole . now , when she calls him , tears rolling down her face , barely able to catch her breath to speak clearly , he offers her a room & a way out . audrey quickly finds a job here & jumps at the opportunity . talk about awkward . she ' s settling in -- but not without looking over her shoulder for the person she ' s running from .
