as a canadian who has finally understood the electoral college, i’ve decided its bad but also really funny. tbh my country’s senate is just as bad as ur electoral college and prob at least as funny. oh well

It’s an incredibly silly way to structure an election. Makes everything more complicated while fixing nothing. Everyone says we have it to increase the value of rural votes even though it renders 8 of the 10 most rural states entirely uncompetitive, thus reducing turnout. Why do we still have this. Why do we need hundreds of random party functionaries to be nominated as electors. We have computers that know how to count
